Bath Re-enamelling for Goose Eye homes
Bath re-enamelling in and around Goose Eye: a fixed quote from pictures, a tidy visit and a one-year guarantee.
- Resurfacing from £350
- An original cast iron bath that needs restoring
- An old resurfacing that is failing

DIY kit or professional repair?
DIY kits are sold for most surfaces, and they can make a small mark look better. The trouble is colour and preparation: kits come in a few standard shades, and without proper cleaning and keying the filler frequently lifts.
For a hairline mark somewhere you’ll never see, a kit may be enough. For anything you look at every day, anything that has rusted, cracked or holed, or anything on a coloured surface, a professional repair is worth it.
Bath re-enamelling at your home in Goose Eye
We re-enamel plenty of period and roll-top baths, which would be difficult and expensive to replace. Resurfacing them in place keeps the original bath. If you’re dealing with enamel that’s lost its shine and feels rough and an original cast iron bath that needs restoring, we can usually put it right, on Victorian roll-tops, pressed steel baths and basins & shower trays alike.
Big or small, you get the same one-year guarantee.

When to call us in Goose Eye
Hard water speeds up the wear, and gritty cleaners are the worst culprits.
Send us a picture if you notice any of these:
- A dull, rough surface that won’t come clean
- Staining under the taps and around the waste
- An original cast iron bath that needs restoring
- Thin, worn enamel in places
Before booking anyone

- Whether the price is fixed and includes VAT
- Who will actually do the work
- The length of the guarantee and what it covers
Work for landlords and builders
If you manage property in Goose Eye, we will quote for several properties at once. Send photos for each one and we will price them together.
We carry out planned and one-off repairs for housing associations and facilities teams. A repair avoids taking out and refitting, which matters when someone is living in the home.
Why repair rather than replace?
A replacement frequently means several trades over several days. Resurfacing takes one technician and generally a day. Resurfacing from £350, with every job priced individually. Every job is a little different, so each one is priced on its own. What’s damaged, how badly and how easy it is to reach all play a part, and doing several things on one visit costs less than separate visits.
Why Goose Eye customers choose us
- No extra charge for your area
- Colours mixed by hand to suit your surface
- Most jobs done in one visit
- Nothing taken out or refitted

Materials and what they mean for the repair
Cast iron
A cast iron bath is heavy enough that most people never want to move it. The enamel is the part that wears or chips, and that’s the part we put right.
Roll-top and period baths
Freestanding roll-tops can be done inside and out, and the outside can be refinished too.
The process
Once we are through the door, we keep the work contained to the one room. Surfaces nearby are masked off, the job takes most of the day, and we finish with a tidy-up and a look at the finished work together.
- The room is masked, protected and ventilated.
- Next we degrease the bath and fix chips and rust spots.
- We prepare the surface and apply a bonding primer.
- We spray several coats of new enamel finish.
- The bath is left to cure and can usually be used the day after.
Before we arrive
- Mention any parking restrictions or tricky access
- Mention any earlier repairs or resurfacing
- Let the surface dry out before the visit
Getting a price
The quickest way to a price is to send a couple of pictures through our quote form or ring us. We will say right away if a repair is the right fix.
Advice
Goose Eye: your questions answered
Will there be fumes?
A little, during the work. Ventilation keeps it down, and it fades as the finish cures.
Can you do the outside of a roll-top?
Yes, roll-tops are a big part of our work. We resurface the inside, and the outside can be refinished too.
Can you price it without visiting?
Yes, almost always. Clear photos let us give you a fixed quote without visiting.
I’m a tenant. Can you help?
Yes, though it’s best to check with your landlord first. Many landlords are happy for a repair to be arranged.
Is there any odour?
It depends on the job, but frequently a little. Ventilation keeps it to a minimum.
Can you resurface a pink bath in white?
Yes. We can resurface a coloured bath in white, and we can do the rest of the suite as well.
What if the damage is worse than the pictures show?
It’s rare, but if it happens we talk to you first. You decide whether to go ahead.
Can you redo someone else’s repair?
Yes, we frequently do. Removing the old work can add time, and that’s in the quote.
