Bath re-enamelling at your home in Leigh
After cleaning, repairing and priming, we spray on the new finish. The preparation is what makes it last, and we take our time over it. We regularly repair pressed steel baths, Victorian roll-tops and acrylic baths, and people most often call us about several chips and rust patches and staining under the taps and around the waste.
The work is guaranteed for twelve months. If there is a problem with the repair within the year, we return and sort it.

Work for landlords and builders
Builders use us to fix snagging damage before handover, saving last-minute replacements. We can visit several plots in one trip.
For anyone letting property in or around Leigh, we’ll quote for several properties at once. Send pictures for each one and we will come back with a combined price.
What we do, step by step
On the day itself, there’s little for you to do. Let us in and show us the room, and we’ll take it from there. Most visits take the best part of a day, including clearing up.
- First we protect the bathroom and set up ventilation.
- We clean and degrease the bath and repair any chips or rust.
- We key the surface and put on a bonding primer.
- Several coats of new finish are sprayed on.
- The bath is left to cure and can generally be used the day after.
How to prepare
- Let us know which floor the room is on
- Make sure the room can be ventilated
- Clear the area around the damage

Advice
Different materials, different repairs
Cast iron
Cast iron baths are the classic candidate for re-enamelling. They’re built to last, and only the surface wears, so a new finish makes them look new again.
Roll-top and period baths
We can resurface a roll-top inside and out, with the outside refinished as well.

Repair or replace: which is better?
A new bath means a plumber, removing a heavy bath, re-tiling or making good the walls and days without a bathroom. Re-enamelling gives the bath a new finish with the bath left where it is. Resurfacing from £350, with every job priced individually. We do not add extras on the day. What we quote from your photos is what you pay, unless the damage turns out to be different, in which case we talk to you first.
What you get with us

Should I try a DIY kit first?
You can buy a DIY kit for most repairs, and they can tidy up a tiny mark. Where they fall down is colour and preparation: they come in a handful of shades, and if the surface isn’t prepared the repair will not last.
If you’re set on a kit, follow its instructions closely, and do not use it until it has fully cured. If it fails, we can still put it right.
Aftercare tips
So the finish stays in good condition:
- Get any chip repaired quickly
- Fix dripping taps quickly
- Do not leave bottles, razors or sponges standing on the surface
- Never use suction bath mats
The first few days matter most: let it cure fully, then use mild cleaners only. After that, no abrasives and no suction mats.
Rust spots on a worn bath get worse with time, and each one adds to the preparation. It’s simpler to resurface before they spread.

We do, regularly. We quote for multiple addresses and fit around tenancy changeovers.
Signs you need bath re-enamelling in Leigh
Once enamel loses its gloss, it stains more easily, and scrubbing it wears it down further. At that stage, resurfacing is the fix.
Keep an eye out for any of the following:
- Chips and rust in more than one place
- A coating lifting around the plughole
- A bath that stays dull however much you clean it
- An original cast iron bath that needs restoring
Before you book anyone
- Whether the colour is mixed to match
- How long it needs to cure
- Whether the price covers travel
- Who will actually do the work
Prices and what affects them
Prices start from £350. Every quote is fixed and free. What we look at:
- The material
- The colour and finish to match
- Doing more than one item at once
- Access to the area
Our prices are the same across the UK, so there’s no premium for Leigh. The job itself decides the price: the material, the amount of damage and how many items.
Getting a price from pictures
Most quotes are done from photos alone. To make it quick:
- Any earlier repairs or coatings
- Where you are, by postcode
- A coin or ruler next to the damage for scale
- One sharp close-up of the damage
Getting a quote takes a couple of minutes: take one close-up and one wider shot of the bath, include your postcode and send them to us. You’ll get a fixed quote, not an estimate.
