Trusted bath re-enamelling in Methley Lanes

For landlords and businesses

Housing associations and facilities teams use us for planned and reactive repairs in Leeds and across the UK. Repairing in place avoids the disruption of a replacement, which matters when someone is living in the home.

Rental properties take more wear, and replacing items every time a tenant leaves is expensive. Repairing between tenants keeps the property presentable for less.

Bath re-enamelling at your home in Methley Lanes

If your bath is sound but looks tired, resurfacing is normally the best value. It avoids removal, plumbing and re-tiling. Typical jobs include a period or roll-top bath worth keeping and a bath that stays dull however much you clean it, in pressed steel baths, basins & shower trays and Victorian roll-tops.

You’re covered after we leave: our one-year guarantee applies to every job, and we explain what it covers before you book.

When we’d advise against a repair

Honesty matters more than a booking, so here’s what a repair can’t fix:

  • Leaks from fittings rather than the bath
  • A bath that is rusted through
  • A poorly supported acrylic bath, until it’s firmed up

Not sure? Send photos and we will give you a straight answer before booking.

What we work on

  • Victorian roll-tops
  • Pressed steel baths
  • Cast iron baths
  • Acrylic baths
  • Basins & shower trays

Repair or replace: which is better?

Replacement only makes sense in a few cases: if the bath is cracked through, if you want a different size or shape, or if you are refitting the whole room anyway. In most other cases, resurfacing is the better choice. Resurfacing from £350, with every job priced individually. We charge the same wherever you are, so there’s no premium for Methley Lanes. What changes the price is the job itself: how much damage, what it’s made of and how many items.

Why book with us

  • Colour mixed on the day to match
  • A fixed quote before booking
  • Nothing taken out or refitted
  • We come to you, anywhere in the UK

How we price bath re-enamelling

Resurfacing from £350. There is no area surcharge for Methley Lanes. What changes the price is:

  • The colour and finish to match
  • Doing more than one item at once
  • What the surface is made of
  • Whether it’s a chip, crack, burn or wear

Compared with replacing, repairing normally costs far less, because nothing has to be taken out, refitted or made good. The quote lists exactly what you’re paying for.

Send photos for a quote

Before you send photos, these tips help us give you a firm price:

  • One picture of the entire bath
  • A clear, close picture of the problem area
  • Where you are, by postcode
  • A coin beside the damage so we can judge size

Pricing is simple: snap the damage close up and then the whole item, send them over with your postcode, and you’ll get a fixed quote back. There’s no charge for the quote and no obligation.

What we do, step by step

Your technician turns up when we said we would and looks over the damage before anything else. The floor and nearby surfaces are covered before we open a single tin. The work itself takes the best part of a day, and the room is left clean and tidy.

  1. The room is masked, protected and ventilated.
  2. Next we degrease the bath and fix chips and rust spots.
  3. The surface is prepared and a bonding primer applied.
  4. We spray on the new enamel finish in several coats.
  5. The bath is left to cure and can typically be used the day after.

Getting ready for the visit

  • Let the surface dry out before the visit
  • Ensure the room can be ventilated
  • Clear the area around the damage

Related advice

Materials and what they mean for the repair

Acrylic

Acrylic is light and warm to the touch, but it relies on good support. Cracks are strengthened from behind before the front is finished.

Roll-top and period baths

We can resurface a roll-top inside and out, and the outside can be refinished too.

Can I fix it myself?

If you do try a kit, read the instructions carefully and work on a clean, dry surface, and do not use it until it has fully cured. If it fails, we can still put it right.

For a hairline mark somewhere you will never see, a kit may be enough. For damage in plain view, cracks, holes or rust, or coloured finishes, a professional repair is worth it.

What we are called out for in Methley Lanes

Enamel’s shine is only skin deep, and abrasive cleaning slowly wears it away. Eventually the surface turns porous and stains.

People generally call us when they notice something like this:

  • Enamel that is lost its shine and feels rough
  • Worn patches where water runs and sits
  • Several chips and rust patches
  • A bath in a colour that no longer suits

Before you book anyone

  • How the room is protected while they work
  • How the colour is matched
  • How soon you can use it again
  • Who will actually do the work

How to compare quotes

Questions from Methley Lanes

What information do you need?

Some photos, your postcode and how to reach you. On the day, we only need access to the room.

Can a failed resurfacing be redone?

In most cases. We strip the failing coating and resurface it properly. Tell us about it when you ask for a quote.

Is it messy?

No. The work area is masked and covered, and we take our waste away with us.

Can pets and children be at home?

We ask you to keep children and pets out of the room while we work and until it has cured. The rest of the house is unaffected.

Is the work guaranteed?

Every repair comes with our one-year guarantee. We will explain what it covers when we quote.

Will the bath be moved?

No. It’s re-enamelled where it stands, so nothing else is disturbed.

Will the price change on the day?

It’s rare, but if it happens we talk to you first. The price only changes if you agree.

Do the materials smell?

There can be some smell while we work. It clears as the materials cure.
