Bath re-enamelling & resurfacing in Newbridge, Cornwall
We travel to Newbridge for full bath re-enamelling and resurfacing. Nothing is taken out, with a one-year guarantee.
- Resurfacing from £350
- Several chips and rust patches
- A coating lifting around the plughole

DIY kit or professional repair?
For a hairline mark somewhere you will never see, a kit may be enough. For damage in plain view, cracks, holes or rust, or coloured finishes, it’s worth having it done properly.
The difference between a kit and a professional repair is mostly in the preparation and colour. We clean and key the area properly, mix the colour to your surface and finish it to the same sheen, then guarantee it for a year.
Bath re-enamelling in Newbridge without replacing anything
Re-enamelling works especially well on cast iron and steel, and we can resurface acrylic baths as well. The result is a smooth, even, glossy finish. Whether it’s a roll-top that’s seen better days and brown or grey marks that don’t clean off, we can help.
You get a one-year guarantee, the same in Newbridge as everywhere else we work.

When a repair isn’t the answer
Honesty matters more than a booking, so here’s what a repair cannot fix:
- A cast iron or steel bath that is cracked right through
- Steel that has corroded right through
- A poorly supported acrylic bath, until it’s firmed up
Not sure? Send photos and we’ll give you a straight answer.

What we do, step by step
Your technician turns up at the time we agreed with you and checks the damage against your pictures first. The floor and nearby surfaces are covered before any work starts. Most visits take the best part of a day, and the room is left clean and tidy.
- The room is masked, protected and ventilated.
- We clean and degrease the bath and repair any chips or rust.
- The surface is prepared and a bonding primer applied.
- Several coats of new finish are sprayed on.
- The bath is left to cure and can generally be used the next day.
Preparing for the visit
- Mention any earlier repairs or resurfacing
- Point us to the nearest place to park
- Let the surface dry out before the visit
Ask for a price
There is no need for us to visit first. Photos are enough for us to price nearly every job: send a close-up, a wider shot and your postcode, and we will reply with a fixed price.

Questions from Newbridge
Which areas do you work in?
Across the UK. Prices don’t change with location.
Do you resurface freestanding baths?
Yes. We can do the inside and outside if you’d like.
Can tenants book a repair?
Yes, but check with your landlord or agent first. Many landlords are happy for a repair to be arranged before the end of a tenancy.
Will the bath be moved?
No. We resurface it in place, so nothing else is disturbed.
What do you need from me?
Photos of the damage, a photo of the whole bath and your postcode. Then we will agree a date.
What if the damage is worse than the pictures show?
We stop, show you and agree any change before carrying on. You will not be charged for anything you haven’t agreed.
Someone resurfaced my bath and it’s peeling. Can you help?
Yes. Stripping the old coating adds time, so it’s reflected in the quote.
Will the new finish last?
Look after it and it lasts. Avoid abrasive cleaners and suction mats.

Different materials, different repairs
Acrylic
Acrylic is light and warm to the touch, but it needs firm support underneath. Cracks are strengthened from behind before the front is finished.
Pressed steel
Under the enamel of a steel bath is thin metal. Exposed steel rusts quickly, so we treat and seal the metal before filling.
How to care for the repair
Nothing complicated is needed, just a few sensible habits:
- Dry the bath after use to stop limescale
- A dripping tap should be fixed promptly
- Do not let dyes or oils sit on the finish
- Leave the bath for the full curing time before using it
Avoid hair dye, bath bombs and oils sitting on the surface, as they can stain. Fix dripping taps quickly.
Don’t try to scrub a worn bath back to shine. It removes more of the surface and makes resurfacing more work.
