How we handle bath re-enamelling in North Hayling
Most baths are re-enamelled in a day. Taps, tiles, panels and plumbing all stay in place. Whether it’s a period or roll-top bath worth keeping and a coloured bath you want in white, we can generally put it right, on pressed steel baths, acrylic baths and cast iron baths alike.
You’re covered after we leave: our one-year guarantee applies to every job, and we’ll explain exactly what it covers when we quote.

Work for landlords and builders
Letting agents often send us photos straight from the inventory. That means we can quote before you even visit the property, and we liaise with tenants about access if you’d like us to.
If you manage property in North Hayling, we can repair and quote for several addresses together. Send pictures for each one and we’ll come back with a combined price.
Prices and what affects them
Prices start from £350. A fixed quote means you know the cost before booking. We look at:
- How easy the damage is to reach
- Unusual colours or finishes
- Previous DIY repairs that have to come out
- Doing more than one item at once
We charge the same wherever you are, with no extra for North Hayling. The job itself decides the price: how much damage, what it’s made of and how many items.
Send photos for a quote
Photographing the damage takes a minute. Try to send:
- A coin beside the damage so we can judge size
- Any earlier repairs or coatings
- A close-up of the damage, in focus
- Your postcode, so we can check dates
You don’t need a survey visit. Photos are enough for us to price nearly every job: we need a close-up, a wider picture and your postcode, and we will reply with a fixed price.
Signs you need bath re-enamelling in North Hayling
Many baths we resurface have simply been well used. The body of the bath is normally perfectly sound.
People usually call us after spotting one of these:
- A coating lifting around the plughole
- A dull, rough surface that will not come clean
- A coloured bath you want in white
- Worn patches where water runs and sits

- If travel is included in the price
- Whether they match the colour on site
- Who turns up on the day
Honest limits
Some problems need a builder, plumber or fitter rather than us:
- Leaks from fittings rather than the bath
- A cast iron or steel bath that’s cracked right through
- Holes rusted through the metal
Send us photos and we will tell you honestly.
Materials we work on in North Hayling
- Victorian roll-tops
- Cast iron baths
- Basins & shower trays
- Acrylic baths
- Pressed steel baths
Why repair rather than replace?
Replacing the bath means a plumber, lifting out the old bath, making good the walls and tiles and several days without a working bathroom. Resurfacing renews the entire surface without moving it. Resurfacing from £350, with every job priced individually. It helps to know what pushes a price up or down: access, material, the extent of the damage and whether we can do several items together. Photos let us give you a fixed figure.

Keeping it looking good
Aftercare is simple:
- Rinse off hair dye, oils and bath bombs right away
- Do not use the bath until it has fully cured
- Have chips seen to early
- Use washing-up liquid and a soft cloth
Treat the new finish gently at first: give it the full curing time, then clean it gently. After that, no abrasives and no suction mats.
Don’t try to scrub a worn bath back to shine. It removes more of the surface and makes resurfacing more work.
How the visit works
On the day itself, there’s little for you to do. Show us the job, point us to the room, and we will take it from there. The job generally runs to most of the day, tidy-up included.
- We sheet, mask and ventilate the room.
- Old sealant is cut out and the bath is deep cleaned.
- We repair chips, rust spots and pitting.
- The surface is keyed and primed for the new finish.
- The new finish is sprayed on in several coats and left to cure until the next day.
Before we arrive
- Plan for the room to be out of bounds to pets and children
- Tell us about any previous repairs or coatings
- Ensure the room can be ventilated

North Hayling questions
How long does re-enamelling last?
Care for it and it lasts. Gentle cleaning, no suction mats.
Can you quote from pictures?
In nearly every case. We only ask to see it in person if the pictures can’t show what we need.
Can you resurface a pink bath in white?
Yes, most people go for white. Mention the colour you want when you send photos.
Does someone need to be in?
Yes. The technician needs access to the room for the visit, at a time we agree with you.
Is there a guarantee?
All our work carries our one-year guarantee. We’ll explain what it covers when we quote.
Can pets and children be at home?
We ask you to keep children and pets out of the room while we work and until it has cured. The rest of the house is unaffected.
Will the bath be moved?
No. We resurface it in place, so the tiles and taps stay put.

DIY kit or professional repair?
A kit can be fine for a tiny mark out of sight. For damage in plain view, cracks, holes or rust, or coloured finishes, a professional repair is worth it.
If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that’s fine. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it will not stop us repairing it. Just mention it when you send photos, as it can add time.
About our accreditations · Every repair comes with a one-year guarantee.
