Bath re-enamelling & resurfacing in Sutton, West Sussex
Full bath re-enamelling and resurfacing in Sutton, carried out at your home and guaranteed for a year.
- Resurfacing from £350
- Several chips and rust patches
- A peeling or bubbling previous coating

Materials and what they mean for the repair
Cast iron
A cast iron bath is heavy enough that most people never want to move it. Only the enamel surface wears or chips, and that’s what we repair.
Roll-top and period baths
We can resurface a roll-top inside and out, and the outside can be refinished too.
Bath re-enamelling in Sutton, done in place
After cleaning, repairing and priming, we spray on the new finish. Most of the work, and most of the durability, is in the preparation, so we don’t cut corners on it. Whether it’s wear marks under the taps and a bath in a colour that no longer suits, we can help.
The work is covered for a year after we finish. If anything isn’t right, ring us and we’ll sort it.

How the visit works
Nothing needs to be moved out of the room beforehand. Everything we use comes in the van with us, put protection down and start once you’re happy with the plan. It usually takes a full day, and you can get on with other things while we’re there.
- We mask and protect the room and ventilate it.
- Next we degrease the bath and fix chips and rust spots.
- We key the surface and put on a bonding primer.
- We spray on the new enamel finish in several coats.
- The bath is left to cure and can generally be used the following day.
Getting ready for the visit
- Tell us about parking, stairs or access
- Keep children and pets away from the room on the day
- Clear the area around the damage

Advice
Common questions in Sutton
Do you cover Sutton?
Yes. We cover the entire UK and come to Sutton. Send pictures and we will quote, or call 0345 017 0787.
I’m a tenant. Can you help?
Yes, but check with your landlord or agent first. Many landlords are happy for a repair to be arranged.
Can you repair several things at once?
Of course, and it normally saves money. Send pictures of everything together and you will get one combined price.
How soon can you come?
We’ll give you dates with your quote. Tell us if you need it done quickly.
Do you cover the entire of West Sussex?
We work UK-wide, and that includes Sutton. Our prices are the same everywhere.
Can you fix a peeling bath coating?
Normally, yes. The old coating comes off before we resurface it. Mention it when you send pictures.
What do you need from me?
A close-up, a wider photo and your postcode. Then we’ll agree a date.
What if the damage is worse than the photos show?
It’s rare, but if it happens we talk to you first. You decide whether to go ahead.
Keeping it looking good
So the finish stays in good condition:
- Don’t leave bottles, razors or sponges standing on the surface
- Avoid suction-cup mats
- A quick wipe after use keeps limescale away
- Get any chip repaired quickly
Avoid hair dye, bath bombs and oils sitting on the surface, because they can mark the finish. Fix dripping taps quickly.
The longer worn enamel is left, the rougher it gets, and any rust spreads underneath. Acting earlier keeps the preparation simpler.

Should I try a DIY kit first?
If you are set on a kit, follow its instructions closely, ensure the area is clean and completely dry, and don’t use it until it has fully cured. If it doesn’t work out, we can still repair it properly.
Kits are cheap and easy to find, but many of the jobs we do start with putting right a DIY repair. Doing it properly first is normally the cheaper route.
Landlords, agents and businesses in Sutton
We regularly price jobs from inventory or check-out photos. That means we can quote before you even visit the property, and we liaise with tenants about access if you’d like us to.
Hospitality businesses need rooms back in use quickly, so we keep visits short and tidy. We’ll fit around changeovers where we can.
Repair or replace: which is better?
There are times replacing is better: if the bath is cracked through, if you want a different size or shape, or if you’re refitting the entire room anyway. Otherwise, resurfacing typically wins. Resurfacing from £350, with every job priced individually. We do not add extras on the day. The price we quote from your photos is the price you pay, and if the damage turns out to be different, we discuss it before starting.
