Trusted bath re-enamelling in Wallington

For landlords and businesses

Builders use us to fix snagging damage before handover. Several plots can be done in one visit.

Rental properties take more wear, and replacing items every time a tenant leaves is expensive. Repairing between tenants keeps the property presentable for less.

Bath re-enamelling at your home in Wallington

Resurfacing renews the whole surface of the bath without a refit. It suits baths that are dull, stained, rough or chipped all over. Whether it’s an outdated colour you’d like to change and thin, worn enamel in places, we can usually put it right, on Victorian roll-tops, basins & shower trays and pressed steel baths alike.

Peace of mind is built in: our one-year guarantee applies to every job, and we will explain exactly what it covers when we quote.

What affects the price in Wallington

Resurfacing from £350. You won’t pay by the hour. The price depends on:

  • What the surface is made of
  • Access to the area
  • Whether it’s a chip, crack, burn or wear
  • The size and number of damaged areas

A repair is priced on what needs doing, not where you live. The full price is agreed before you book, with nothing added on the day.

Send photos for a quote

Photographing the damage takes a minute, and it saves a visit. Please include:

  • The material, if you know it
  • A wider photo showing the whole bath
  • A close-up of the damage, in focus
  • Any earlier repairs or coatings

Upload a photo of the damage and one of the entire item, and tell us you’re in Wallington, and we will reply with a fixed quote.

Wallington questions

How soon can you come?

We will give you dates with your quote. If it’s urgent, say so and we’ll do what we can.

How long is the bath unusable?

Normally a day, then it’s ready to use the following day. A badly pitted bath can need a second day.

Can landlords book you?

Yes. We carry out repairs for householders, landlords, letting agents, builders and businesses in Wallington.

Does someone need to be in?

Someone needs to let us in and show us the job. You don’t need to watch us work.

Does the bath have to be removed?

No, it stays where it is. We work on the bath in place, with the room protected and ventilated.

What happens if you find more damage?

If we find something the photos didn’t show, we explain it first. The price only changes if you agree.

What happens after I send photos?

You will get a fixed quote back, plus dates. You’re under no obligation.

Is a repair better than a new one?

Typically, when the rest is in good condition. A repair avoids removal and making good. We will tell you honestly if replacement makes more sense.

Should I try a DIY kit first?

If you do try a kit, read the instructions carefully and work on a clean, dry surface, and give it the full curing time. If it fails, we can still put it right.

A kit can be fine for a tiny mark out of sight. For anything you look at every day, anything that has rusted, cracked or holed, or anything on a coloured surface, it’s worth having it done properly.

Repair or replace: which is better?

Replacing a cast iron bath is a big job: they’re heavy, often need breaking up, and a new one isn’t cheap. Re-enamelling avoids all of it. Resurfacing from £350, with every job priced individually. Instead of hourly rates, we price the whole job up front. Damage, material and access decide it, and doing several items at once reduces it.

Why book with us

Keeping it looking good

Once the work has cured, treat it gently:

  • Avoid suction-cup mats
  • Use washing-up liquid and a soft cloth
  • Don’t use the bath until it has fully cured
  • Keep toiletries on a shelf rather than in the bath

Use mild, non-abrasive cleaners, avoid suction bath mats, and keep bottles and razors off the surface.

On a worn bath, rust spots keep spreading, and each one adds to the preparation. Resurfacing before they spread keeps it simpler.

How the visit works

Arrival times are agreed in advance, so you know when to expect us. Once we’re there, the work takes most of the day. We leave the room clean and ready to use once it has cured.

  1. We check the bath and agree the finish with you.
  2. Taps, tiles and the floor are masked off.
  3. We degrease the bath, fix any damage and key the surface.
  4. Primer and finish coats are applied.
  5. The masking comes off, we tidy up and tell you when it can be used.

Getting ready for the visit

  • Make sure the room can be ventilated
  • Clear toiletries, mats and anything else from around the area
  • Let the surface dry out before the visit

How to get a price

We price from photos so you do not have to wait in for a survey. Use the quote form, or ring 0345 017 0787 to talk it through.

When we’d advise against a repair

Some problems need a builder, plumber or fitter rather than us:

  • A cast iron or steel bath that’s cracked right through
  • Anything hidden under an old coating, until we remove it
  • A bath that is rusted through

Not sure? Send pictures and we will give you a straight answer.

Materials we repair

  • Acrylic baths
  • Pressed steel baths
  • Victorian roll-tops
  • Cast iron baths
  • Basins & shower trays

Different materials, different repairs

Roll-top and period baths

We can resurface a roll-top inside and out, and the outside can be refinished too.

Acrylic

Acrylic is light and warm to the touch, but it relies on good support. Cracks are strengthened from behind before the front is finished.
