Bath Repair for Airdrie homes
Our repair technicians come to Airdrie for chip and crack repairs to enamel, acrylic and cast iron baths. Everything is done in place, and the work is guaranteed.
- Repairs from £95
- Chips along the edge of the bath
- A kit repair that didn’t last

Honest limits
Some problems need a builder, plumber or fitter rather than us:
- Water coming from the waste or taps rather than the bath
- Acrylic cracks with no access behind them
- A steel bath rusted through
If in doubt, send pictures and we’ll say what we think.
What we work on

Bath repair at your home in Airdrie
You don’t need a new bath because of a chip. We fill the damage, shape it to the curve of the bath and refinish it, with the colour mixed on site. Typical jobs include a chip where the taps sit and damage done while the bathroom was being fitted, on whirlpool & spa baths, pressed steel enamel and roll-top & freestanding.
All of our repairs are guaranteed for twelve months. If something goes wrong with the work, we come back.

Different materials, different repairs
Acrylic
Acrylic feels warm and is light, but it needs firm support underneath. Cracks are strengthened from behind before the front is finished.
Cast iron
Cast iron baths are so heavy that repairing in place makes obvious sense. The enamel is the part that wears or chips, and that’s the part we put right.
How to care for the repair
After the repair has cured, a few habits help it last:
- Avoid scourers, wire wool and gritty cream cleaners
- Clean with warm water and a mild detergent
- Put a towel in the bath if you’re working above it
- Make sure an acrylic bath is firm underfoot
In the first few days, avoid putting weight or bottles on the repair. After that, normal gentle cleaning is fine without abrasive products.
A chip on a metal bath shouldn’t be left. Once water reaches the metal, rust begins, turning a quick repair into a bigger one.
DIY repairs versus a professional job
A DIY attempt is not a disaster. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it won’t stop us repairing it. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send pictures.
DIY kits are sold for most surfaces, and they can make a small mark look better. Where they fall down is colour and preparation: they come in a handful of shades, and if the surface is not prepared the repair won’t last.
When to call us in Airdrie
Acrylic baths that crack nearly always have a support problem. Legs that aren’t adjusted, a missing cradle or a soft floor let the base flex.
If you can see any of these, send us a picture:
- Snagging damage from a refit
- Impact holes in acrylic
- Chips along the edge of the bath
- Scuffs and scratches in the surface

Airdrie: your questions answered
Can you do more than one item on the same visit?
Of course, and it typically saves money. Just add the extra items to your photos and we’ll quote them together.
Is it OK to have pets in the house?
We ask you to keep children and pets out of the room while we work and until it has cured. The rest of the house is unaffected.
Which areas do you work in?
All of North Lanarkshire, and the rest of the UK. There’s no extra charge for travel.
Is there a call-out fee?
No. Our quotes include travel, and we charge the same wherever you are.
Is a bath repair durable?
It should, as long as the bath is firm and the area was prepared well. It’s covered by our one-year guarantee.
When can I have a bath again?
Most baths can be used the day after. We will tell you the exact curing time when we finish.
Is there a guarantee?
Yes, for a year. If anything goes wrong with the repair within the year, we return to fix it.
Can you repair a chip on a coloured bath?
Yes. We mix the colour on the day to match, including pastel and older colours.
The process
We turn up at the time we agreed with you, introduces themselves and looks over the damage before anything else. The floor and nearby surfaces are covered before we open a single tin. Most visits take a few hours, and we leave the room as we found it.
- We protect the bath and the floor around it.
- The damaged area is cleaned, keyed and degreased.
- We fill it, let it set, then sand it flush.
- We match both the colour and the shine.
- We tidy up and tell you when the bath can be used, generally the next day.
Preparing for the visit
- Move bottles, mats and clutter away from the area
- Keep a parking space free if you can
- Avoid using the area for a few hours before we arrive
Ask for a price
For most jobs, photos are all we need to give you a price. Add a line about what happened and your postcode, and we’ll reply with a fixed quote and the earliest dates we have.
