Trusted bath repair in Beech

DIY repairs versus a professional job

If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that’s fine. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it will not stop us repairing it. Just mention it when you send photos, as it can add time.

We understand the appeal of fixing it yourself. The trouble is that kit repairs often look fine at first and then fail, and the old filler has to come out before a proper repair.

About our bath repair in Beech

Most bath damage, from chips and cracks to rust spots and holes, can be repaired with the bath left exactly where it is. There’s no plumbing to disconnect, the tiles aren’t touched, and the repaired area is colour-matched so it blends in. Our technicians work on pressed steel enamel, acrylic and roll-top & freestanding, and common reasons people contact us are scuffs and scratches in the surface and snagging damage from a refit.

A one-year guarantee comes with the work, just as it does everywhere we cover.

Prices and what affects them

Repairs from £95. Each job gets its own fixed quote. This is what makes a difference:

  • How many areas need work
  • Where the damage is and how we get to it
  • The colour and finish to match
  • The type of damage

It helps to know what pushes a price up or down: the amount of damage, the material, access to the area, and how many jobs we do in one trip. Photos let us give you a fixed figure.

Send photos for a quote

Photographing the damage takes a minute. Try to send:

  • Where you are, by postcode
  • A close-up of the damage, in focus
  • Whether it’s been repaired or coated before
  • A coin or ruler next to the damage for scale

A quote takes minutes to ask for: take one close-up and one wider shot of the bath, include your postcode and send them to us. You will get a fixed quote, not an estimate.

Your questions about bath repair in Beech

Will I be able to see the repair?

We aim for a repair you cannot easily find. The rest of the bath’s condition makes a difference.

Is there any odour?

Some materials have a smell while they’re applied. It fades as everything cures.

Will you leave a mess?

Dust sheets and masking go down before we start, and we clean up when we’ve finished.

How soon can you come?

It depends on the time of year and where you are. We’ll offer you dates when we send your quote.

What do you need from me?

Just photos, your postcode and a contact number. On the day, we only need access to the room.

Do you do work for letting agents?

Yes. We work for landlords, agents, builders and businesses as well as householders in Beech.

Do I need to be at home?

Someone needs to let us in and show us the job. You don’t need to watch us work.

Can you fix rust around the plughole?

Yes. We remove the rust and loose enamel, fill the area, then colour-match the finish.

Why repair rather than replace?

Think about the hidden costs of a new bath: removal and disposal, plumbing, a new panel, tiling and decorating. A repair is one job, done in one visit. Repairs from £95, with every job priced individually. We charge the same wherever you are, so there is no premium for Beech. The job itself decides the price: the material, the amount of damage and how many items.

What you get with us

  • Rooms protected and left tidy
  • No extra charge for your area
  • Usually one visit, start to finish
  • Repair technicians who travel to you, UK-wide

Honest limits

A repair isn’t right for every job, including:

  • A steel bath rusted through
  • Acrylic cracks with no access behind them
  • A whole bath that is dull or worn, where a full re-enamel is the better fix

Not sure? Send pictures and we’ll give you a straight answer.

What your bath is made of matters

Acrylic

Acrylic feels warm and is light, but it relies on good support. Repairs to cracks are reinforced from the back.

Composite and resin

Composite baths are dense and solid. Chips and scratches are filled and matched, in much the same way.

Work for landlords and builders

We are used to working with agents and managing companies. Send the address, photos and access details and we will handle the rest.

Rented homes see more wear and tear, and replacing items every time a tenant leaves is expensive. A repair between tenancies is a cheaper way to keep the property in good order.

What we do, step by step

Expect a friendly, tidy visit. We agree the arrival time in advance, protect the area, then carry out the work, which usually takes two to three hours for most chips. If anything looks different from your photos, we will talk to you before going ahead.

  1. We start by looking at the damage and confirming the plan with you.
  2. Loose enamel, rust and dirt are removed so the repair can bond.
  3. We build up the filler in layers, shaping it to the bath.
  4. We tint the finish by hand to match the bath.
  5. The repair is polished to the same gloss as the bath and left to cure.

Preparing for the visit

  • Keep pets and children out of the room while we work
  • Tell us about parking, stairs or access
  • Open a window if you can

Ask for a price

You don’t need a survey visit. Nearly every job can be priced from photos: send a close-up, a wider shot and your postcode, and we’ll reply with a fixed quote.

Looking after it afterwards

Much of the damage we repair could have been avoided. A few tips:

  • Ensure an acrylic bath is firm underfoot
  • Keep metal cans and razors off the surface
  • Rinse the bath after use, especially in hard water areas
  • Fix dripping taps early to stop staining and limescale

A repaired bath needs no special treatment, beyond gentle cleaning. Skip bleach and gritty creams and rinse after use.

Tape over a fresh chip or crack until it’s repaired, so water cannot get in. Take it off before we arrive.
