Bath repair in Boxted, done in place
A repair fixes just the damaged area and blends it into the rest of the bath, which costs far less than replacing a fitted bath. You can usually use the bath the next day. Our technicians work on cast iron enamel, pressed steel enamel and whirlpool & spa baths, and common reasons people contact us are deep scratches in acrylic and impact holes in acrylic.
Big or small, you get the same one-year guarantee.

What we cannot put right
In fairness, some problems need a different fix:
- A bath that moves underfoot, until its support is fixed
- Leaks from the waste or overflow fittings (a plumber’s job)
- A bath worn all over, where resurfacing makes more sense
Send us photos and we’ll tell you honestly.

Repairs by material
Composite and resin
Stone resin and composite baths are heavy and solid. Chips and scratches are filled and matched, in much the same way.
Cast iron
Cast iron baths are thick and very strong, finished with fired enamel. Chips can rust if left, but the bath itself lasts for generations, so it’s always worth repairing.
Should I try a DIY kit first?
If you’re set on a kit, follow its instructions closely, ensure the area is clean and completely dry, and give it the full curing time. If it fails, we can still put it right.
The difference between a kit and a professional repair is mostly in the preparation and colour. We clean and key the area properly, mix the colour to your surface and finish it to the same sheen, and the work is guaranteed.

Do you cover the entire of Essex?
All of Essex, and the rest of the UK. Travel is included in the price.

Can you do more than one item on the same visit?
Yes. Combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down. Include photos of each item.
I’m a tenant. Can you help?
Yes. Ask your landlord first, and we can send them the quote if that helps.
Something went through my bath. Can it be fixed?
Usually. Send us a picture of the hole and one from under the bath if you can.
How the visit works
It’s a tidy, low-fuss visit. We confirm the time with you beforehand, protect the area, and get on with the job, which generally takes a few hours, depending on the damage. If anything looks different from your photos, we’ll talk to you before going ahead.
- First, we check the damage against your photos and agree the plan.
- Loose enamel, rust and dirt are removed so the repair can bond.
- We build up the filler in layers, shaping it to the bath.
- The colour is tinted by hand until it matches.
- The repair is polished to the same gloss as the bath and left to cure.
Preparing for the visit
- Keep a parking space free if you can
- Tell us if there are stairs or a lift
- Ensure the area is dry
Ask for a price
Getting a price is easy: snap the damage close up and then the entire item, send them to us with your postcode, and we will reply with a fixed price. Quotes are free and you’re under no obligation.

Repair or replace in Boxted?
Replacing a bath rarely stops at the bath: tiles along the rim usually crack when it comes out, the panel may not fit the new one, and the plumbing has to be disconnected and refitted. Repairing the damage avoids all of that. Repairs from £95, with every job priced individually. Most people are surprised how affordable a repair is, especially compared with replacing and refitting. Photos let us give you the exact figure.

Looking after it afterwards
After the repair has cured, a few habits help it last:
- Clean with warm water and a mild detergent
- Don’t leave razors or cans standing in the bath
- Rinse it down after each bath
- Check that an acrylic bath does not move when you stand in it
A repaired bath needs no special treatment. Skip bleach and gritty creams and rinse after use.
If an acrylic bath has a crack, stop showering in it until it’s repaired. Every use opens the crack a little more, and water can get through to the floor below.
Prices and what affects them
Repairs from £95. You will not pay by the hour. The price depends on:
- Unusual colours or finishes
- How easy the damage is to reach
- The material and finish
- How many areas need work
Compared with replacing, repairing typically costs far less, because nothing has to be taken out, refitted or made good. The quote lists exactly what you’re paying for.
Send pictures for a quote
The better the pictures, the more accurate the price. Here’s what helps:
- Natural light rather than flash
- The material, if you know it
- A coin or ruler next to the damage for scale
- Where you are, by postcode
Most clients in Boxted get their price from pictures. Tell us what happened and where you are, and we will reply with a fixed quote and the earliest dates we have.
Landlord and trade work in Boxted
We regularly price jobs from inventory or check-out pictures. That means we can quote before you even visit the property, and we can arrange access with the tenant directly if that helps.
Hospitality businesses cannot afford rooms out of action for long, so most of our work is done in a single visit. We can work around your bookings.
