Trusted bath repair in Brent Park

Why repair rather than replace?

Replacing a bath rarely stops at the bath: tiles along the rim normally crack when it comes out, a new panel is frequently needed, and a plumber has to disconnect and reconnect everything. Repairing the damage avoids all of that. Repairs from £95, with every job priced individually. No two jobs are quite the same, so we price each one individually. The size and type of damage, the material and access all play a part, and doing several things on one visit costs less than separate visits.

Why book with us

  • CHAS and Constructionline accredited

How we handle bath repair in Brent Park

A repair fixes just the damaged area and blends it into the rest of the bath, which costs far less than replacing a fitted bath. You can normally use the bath the following day. We regularly repair pressed steel enamel, roll-top & freestanding and cast iron enamel, and people most often call us about deep scratches in acrylic and a chipped rim or side.

The work is guaranteed for twelve months. If there is a problem with the repair within the year, we return and sort it.

How the visit works

On the day itself, there is little for you to do. Show us the job, point us to the room, and we’ll take it from there. The job generally runs to a few hours.

  1. Dust sheets and masking go down around the bath.
  2. We clean, key and degrease the damage.
  3. We fill it, let it set, then sand it flush.
  4. Colour and gloss are matched to the surrounding surface.
  5. We clear up and give you the curing time, normally until the following day.

Before we arrive

  • Let the surface dry out before the visit
  • Tell us if there are stairs or a lift
  • Move bottles, mats and clutter away from the area

Getting a price

Send us pictures of the damage and a wider shot of the whole item, with your NW10 postcode, and we’ll reply with a fixed price.

Related advice

What bath repair costs

Prices start from £95. There’s no area surcharge for Brent Park. The price reflects:

  • The size and number of damaged areas
  • How easy the damage is to reach
  • Any earlier repairs that need removing first
  • The material and finish

We don’t add extras on the day. What we quote from your pictures is what you pay, unless the damage turns out to be different, in which case we talk to you first.

How to get a fixed price

Two or three clear pictures are generally enough. Try to include:

  • Where you are, by postcode
  • A clear, close picture of the problem area
  • Whether it’s been repaired or coated before
  • A coin beside the damage so we can judge size

If you’re in Brent Park and want a price, the easiest route is pictures: one close up, one from further back, plus your postcode. You’ll get a fixed quote with dates to choose from.

Keeping it looking good

Looking after the surface is easy:

  • Ensure an acrylic bath is firm underfoot
  • Cover the bath during DIY or decorating
  • Keep metal cans and razors off the surface
  • Stick to mild cleaners and a soft cloth

Use gentle, non-abrasive cleaners and try not to drop heavy bottles on the repair. Get any new chip seen to quickly, before rust can start.

Tape over a fresh chip or crack until it’s repaired, to keep water out. Take it off before we arrive.

Repairs by material

Cast iron

A cast iron bath is heavy enough that most people never want to move it. The enamel is the part that wears or chips, and that is the part we put right.

Composite and resin

Composite baths are dense and solid. Chips and scratches can be filled and colour matched, just like other baths.

Should I try a DIY kit first?

If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that’s fine. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it does not stop a professional repair. Just mention it when you send photos, as it can add time.

For a hairline mark somewhere you will never see, a kit may be enough. For anything you look at every day, anything that has rusted, cracked or holed, or anything on a coloured surface, a professional repair is worth it.

What we are called out for in Brent Park

The usual cause is something heavy dropped into the bath, and a lot happen during bathroom refits. Cracks in acrylic have a different cause: the bath isn’t properly supported, so it flexes under weight.

You may need us if you’ve spotted:

  • Deep scratches in acrylic
  • An old repair that has yellowed or come loose
  • Chips along the edge of the bath
  • Holes from dropped items

What to look for in a quote

  • What protection goes down before work starts
  • How changes to the job are handled
  • What the guarantee covers, and for how long
  • Whether the price is fixed and includes VAT

Choosing a repair company

For landlords and businesses

We carry out planned and one-off repairs for housing associations and facilities teams in Greater London and across the UK. A repair avoids taking out and refitting, which is easier on the people living there.

Rented homes see more wear and tear, and replacing things at every changeover adds up. A repair between tenancies is a cheaper way to keep the property in good order.
