- Leaking fittings, which need a plumber

Bath repair in Chainhurst without replacing anything
Repairing baths is what we do most. Chips on the rim, rust around the waste and cracks in acrylic are all fixed without removing the bath, normally in one visit. Whether it’s chips along the edge of the bath and cracks in an acrylic bath, we can generally put it right.
The work is covered for a year after we finish. If anything isn’t right, ring us and we will sort it.

For landlords and businesses
For developers and builders, we fix damage before handover, so there is no need to replace a damaged item at the last minute. We can visit several plots in one trip to keep costs down.
Builders, developers and site managers book us for snagging repairs, fixing chips and scratches before handover so nothing needs replacing. We are CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accredited.
Different materials, different repairs
Pressed steel
Steel baths are lighter than cast iron, but have a similar enamel surface. Exposed steel rusts fast, especially around the waste, so early repairs matter.
Composite and resin
Composite baths are dense and solid. Chips and scratches can be filled and colour matched, in much the same way.
DIY repairs versus a professional job
You can buy a DIY kit for most repairs, and they can tidy up a tiny mark. The trouble is colour and preparation: kits come in a few standard shades, and without proper cleaning and keying the filler often lifts.
Kits are cheap and easy to find, but the repairs we redo most often are DIY ones that have discoloured or lifted. Doing it properly first is generally the cheaper route.
Chainhurst questions
Is it worth repairing rather than replacing?
In most cases, yes. A repair skips the removal, fitting and redecorating. If it is not worth repairing, we’ll tell you.
Something went through my bath. Can it be fixed?
In most cases. Send us a photo of the hole and one from under the bath if you can.
Will the repair last?
It should, as long as the bath is firm and the area was prepared well. It carries our one-year guarantee.
Do I have to be there?
We need someone to let us in. You do not need to watch us work.
Can you redo someone else’s repair?
Most of the time. Tell us what was done before.
How quickly can you book me in?
That depends on our diary for your area. We’ll offer you dates when we send your quote.
What happens if you find more damage?
Your quote covers the damage in the photos. Anything extra is discussed before we begin.
Which areas do you work in?
Across the UK, so Chainhurst is covered. Prices do not change with location.
What we’re called out for in Chainhurst
Acrylic baths that crack nearly always have a support problem. Loose legs, no proper cradle or a floor that gives let the base flex until the acrylic gives way.
Look out for any of the following:
- Rust by the waste and overflow
- A hole punched through by something heavy
- Damage done while the bathroom was being fitted
- A chipped rim or side
What your quote should include
- How your room will be protected
- Whether a trained technician does the job
- Whether the colour is mixed to match
- The length of the guarantee and what it covers
How it works
Here’s how a visit typically runs: we arrive at the agreed slot, sheet and mask the area around the job, carry out the work and clear up. Plan for a few hours. Before we go, we will explain how long to leave it and how to care for it.
- We protect the bath and the floor around it.
- We clean, key and degrease the damage, and any rust is treated.
- We fill it, let it set, then sand it flush.
- Colour and gloss are matched to the surrounding surface.
- We clear up and give you the curing time, normally until the day after.
Before we arrive
- Avoid using the area for a few hours before we arrive
- Tell us if there are stairs or a lift
- Have somewhere for us to park nearby if possible

What else we do in Chainhurst
Repair or replace in Chainhurst?
A new bath brings a chain of other jobs: the tiles sitting on the rim tend to break, the panel may not fit the new one, and a plumber has to disconnect and reconnect everything. Repairing the damage avoids all of that. Repairs from £95, with every job priced individually. No two jobs are quite the same, so we price each one individually. What’s damaged, how badly and how easy it is to reach all play a part, and doing several things on one visit costs less than separate visits.
What you get with us

- Usually one visit, start to finish
- Colour mixed on the day to match

Looking after it afterwards
Aftercare is simple:
- Have new chips seen to early
- Rinse it down after each bath
- Get a dripping tap fixed promptly
- Keep abrasive pads and gritty cleaners away from the bath
Keep metal objects like razors and cans off the surface, as they can leave rust marks. And fix dripping taps promptly.
Until we visit, a strip of waterproof tape over the damage helps, to keep water out. Remove it before the repair.
