People often assume a cracked or chipped bath has to come out. In most cases it does not: a proper repair gives it years more use, and costs far less than the disruption of a replacement. Our bath repair starts from £95. We do not add extras on the day. The price we quote from your photos is the price you pay, and if the damage turns out to be different, we discuss it before starting.

Bath repair in Chorlton without replacing anything

You do not need a new bath because of a chip. Our repair technicians fill, shape and refinish the damage, with the colour mixed on site so the repair is hard to spot. We regularly repair roll-top & freestanding, acrylic and cast iron enamel, and people most often call us about rust by the waste and overflow and snagging damage from a refit.

Every job is backed for twelve months. We return to put right any problem with the work.

Questions from Chorlton

Do you do work for letting agents?

Yes, often. We can quote for several properties together and work between tenancies.

How much does bath repair cost in Chorlton?

Repairs from £95. Because every job differs, we price from photos. You know the full cost before anything is booked.

Does someone need to be in?

Yes. We need access to the room while we work, at a time we agree with you.

What happens if you find more damage?

The price is fixed for what the photos show. Anything extra is discussed before we begin.

I rent my home. Can I book you?

We can work for tenants, landlords or agents. Just make sure the landlord agrees.

Is a bath repair durable?

Yes, if it’s prepared properly and the bath is sound. It carries our one-year guarantee.

Can you do more than one item on the same visit?

Yes. Doing several items on one visit normally costs less than separate visits. Send photos of everything you’d like done.

Are there extra charges for Chorlton?

No. Our quotes include travel, and we charge the same wherever you are.

DIY kit or professional repair?

If you are set on a kit, follow its instructions closely and work on a clean, dry surface, and do not use it until it has fully cured. If it fails, we can still put it right.

A kit can be fine for a tiny mark out of sight. For damage in plain view, cracks, holes or rust, or coloured finishes, a professional repair is worth it.

What we do, step by step

Expect a friendly, tidy visit. We confirm the time with you beforehand, protect the area, then carry out the work, which normally takes a morning or an afternoon. If we find something your photos didn’t show, we’ll explain it before carrying on.

  1. We start by looking at the damage and confirming the plan with you.
  2. Any rust and loose material comes out, and the area is degreased.
  3. We build up the filler in layers, shaping it to the bath.
  4. We tint the finish by hand to match the bath.
  5. The repair is polished to the same gloss as the bath and left to cure.

How to prepare

  • Tell us if there are stairs or a lift
  • Clear toiletries, mats and anything else from around the area
  • Plan for the room to be out of bounds to pets and children

How to get a price

No survey visit is needed: we price from photos. Use the quote form, or ring 0345 017 0787 to talk it through.

What your bath is made of matters

Composite and resin

Stone resin and composite baths are heavy and solid. Chips and scratches can be filled and colour matched, in much the same way.

Pressed steel

Steel baths are lighter than cast iron, but have a similar enamel surface. Exposed steel rusts fast, especially around the waste, so repair chips early.

Keeping it looking good

Most damage we see is avoidable. A few tips:

  • Rinse it down after each bath
  • Put a towel in the bath if you’re working above it
  • Clean with warm water and a mild detergent
  • Keep metal cans and razors off the surface

Give the repair the full curing time we recommend before running a bath. From then on, mild cleaning is all it needs.

If an acrylic bath has a crack, stop showering in it until it’s repaired. Each time it flexes, the crack grows, and water can get through to the floor below.

Work for landlords and builders

Builders, developers and site managers book us for snagging repairs, putting right damage done during fitting so nothing needs replacing. We hold CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accreditations.

We regularly price jobs from inventory or check-out pictures. You can have a price before you arrange access, and we liaise with tenants about access if you’d like us to.

Prices and what affects them

Prices start from £95. Prices are worked out job by job. The main factors are:

  • How hard the colour is to match
  • The type of damage
  • How much damage there is
  • The material

We charge the same wherever you are, with no extra for Chorlton. The job itself decides the price: how much damage, what it’s made of and how many items.

How to get a fixed quote

It only takes a minute to photograph the damage. Try to send:

  • Your postcode, so we can check dates
  • A picture taken from further back
  • What it’s made of, if you know
  • Any earlier repairs or coatings

If you are in Chorlton and want a price, the easiest route is pictures: one close up, one from further back, plus your postcode. We reply with a fixed quote and our next available dates.

Honest limits

Not everything can be repaired, and we would rather say so up front. We can’t fix:

  • A whole bath that is dull or worn, where a full re-enamel is the better fix
  • Leaks from the waste or overflow fittings (a plumber’s job)
  • A bath that flexes because its feet or cradle have failed (that needs fixing first)

If in doubt, send photos and we will say what we think before booking.
