Landlord and trade work in Clase

We regularly price jobs from inventory or check-out photos. That means we can quote before you even visit the property, and we liaise with tenants about access if you’d like us to.

Landlords, letting agents and housing providers in Clase use us as well as householders. A repair between tenants keeps the property empty for less time, and it usually costs far less than a refit.

How we handle bath repair in Clase

Whether your bath is steel, cast iron or acrylic, we can repair it. Each material is repaired a little differently: metal baths need any rust dealt with first, and acrylic cracks need support from behind. We regularly repair cast iron enamel, whirlpool & spa baths and roll-top & freestanding, and the jobs we see most are cracks in an acrylic bath and rusty patches near the plughole.

We stand behind the work with a one-year guarantee, so you are not left on your own once we have gone.

What we do, step by step

Arrival times are agreed in advance, so you are not left guessing. On site, it takes a morning or an afternoon. The room is left tidy and ready to use once it has cured.

  1. First, we check the damage against your photos and agree the plan.
  2. Loose enamel, rust and dirt are removed so the repair can bond.
  3. We build up the filler in layers, shaping it to the bath.
  4. We tint the finish by hand to match the bath.
  5. Finally, it’s polished to match the shine and left to cure.

Before we arrive

  • Let us know which floor the room is on
  • Have somewhere for us to park nearby if possible
  • Mention any earlier repairs or resurfacing

Aftercare tips

Once the work has cured, treat it gently:

  • Do not leave razors or cans standing in the bath
  • Clean with warm water and a mild detergent
  • Don’t leave a fresh chip for long
  • Make sure an acrylic bath is firm underfoot

In the first few days, avoid putting weight or bottles on the repair. After that, clean it as you would the rest of the bath.

A chip on a metal bath shouldn’t be left. Once water reaches the metal, rust begins, turning a quick repair into a bigger one.

Can I fix it myself?

For a hairline mark somewhere you’ll never see, a kit may be enough. For damage in plain view, cracks, holes or rust, or coloured finishes, it’s worth having it done properly.

If you are set on a kit, follow its instructions closely, ensure the area is clean and completely dry, and do not use it until it has fully cured. If it fails, we can still put it right.

What affects the price in Clase

Repairs from £95. Prices are worked out job by job, from your pictures. What matters most is:

  • Doing more than one item at once
  • Where the damage is and how we get to it
  • The material and finish
  • Any earlier repairs that need removing first

Instead of hourly rates, we price the whole job up front. It depends on the damage, the material and access, and combining items on one visit brings it down.

Send photos for a quote

Good pictures mean an accurate price. Here’s what we find most useful:

  • Details of any past repairs
  • A wider photo showing the whole bath
  • The postcode, so we can plan the visit
  • Any details about the material

To get a price, send two or three pictures using our quote form or call us. We will say immediately if a repair is the right fix.

Common problems we fix in Clase

A bath gets knocked about more than you’d think: bottles, shower heads and razors are dropped every day, and fittings press hard against the enamel. Sooner or later, most baths pick up a chip.

If you can see any of these, send us a photo:

  • Cracks in an acrylic bath
  • Damage beneath the taps
  • A chipped rim or side
  • Damage done while the bathroom was being fitted

Questions to ask before you book

  • A fixed quote, and whether VAT is included
  • When it can be used again
  • Whether they match the colour on site

Your questions about bath repair in Clase

How long does the repair take to cure?

Most baths can be used the following day. We confirm the time before we leave.

Will there be a smell?

There can be some smell while we work. It clears as the materials cure.

Will the repair last?

It should, as long as the bath is firm and the area was prepared well. It’s covered by our one-year guarantee.

I tried a repair kit. Can you fix it?

Yes. We take out the old repair and do it properly. Mention it when you send pictures.

Can landlords book you?

Yes. We carry out repairs for homeowners, landlords, letting agents, builders and businesses across Swansea.

Which areas do you work in?

All of Swansea, and the rest of the UK. There’s no extra charge for travel.

Will it make a mess?

Very little mess: we sheet and mask everything nearby, and we leave the room clean.

Can I add another job to the visit?

Yes. Doing several items on one visit typically costs less than separate visits. Send pictures of everything you’d like done.

What we cannot put right

Honesty matters more than a booking, so here’s what a repair will not do:

  • Flexing caused by a failed cradle or loose feet
  • Wear across the entire surface, which needs re-enamelling
  • Leaking fittings, which need a plumber

Not sure? Send photos and we will give you a straight answer.

Materials we repair

  • Pressed steel enamel
  • Cast iron enamel
  • Whirlpool & spa baths
  • Acrylic
  • Roll-top & freestanding

Repairing versus replacing in Clase

A new bath brings a chain of other jobs: the tiles sitting on the rim tend to break, a new panel is frequently needed, and a plumber has to disconnect and reconnect everything. Repairing the damage avoids all of that. Prices start from £95. The price depends on the type and amount of damage, the material and how many jobs we combine into one visit. We give a fixed price from your pictures, so you know the cost before you book.

What you get with us

  • No extra charge for your area
  • A year’s guarantee on all work
  • Usually one visit, start to finish
  • Colour mixed on the day to match
