Bath repair at your home in Cornton

We see every kind of bath damage: chips from dropped bottles, rust round the plughole, cracks in acrylic and holes from falling tools. All of it is repaired where the bath stands. We work on acrylic, roll-top & freestanding and pressed steel enamel, and common reasons people get in touch are rust by the waste and overflow and an old repair that has yellowed or come loose.

A one-year guarantee comes with the work, just as it does everywhere we cover.

Cornton questions

Is it OK to have pets in the house?

Keep pets and children away from the work area on the day.

What areas do you cover?

Across the UK. Our prices are the same everywhere.

Is a bath repair permanent?

A properly prepared repair should last a long time, and ours come with a one-year guarantee. Gentle cleaning helps it last.

Is there a call-out fee?

There’s no separate call-out charge. The fixed price covers the visit and the work.

How soon can you come?

Your quote comes with available dates. Tell us if you need it done quickly.

How much does bath repair cost in Cornton?

Repairs from £95. The exact price depends on the damage, so we quote from pictures. You will get a fixed figure before you book.

Do the materials smell?

Expect a mild smell while we’re working that clears as it cures.

Can you repair a crack in an acrylic bath?

Often, yes, as long as we can get to the back of the crack to support it. Take off the bath panel and check, or send us a picture.

For landlords and businesses

Housing associations and facilities teams use us for planned and reactive repairs in Stirling and across the UK. A repair avoids taking out and refitting, which matters when someone is living in the home.

Rental properties take more wear, and replacing items every time a tenant leaves is expensive. A repair between tenancies is a cheaper way to keep the property in good order.

DIY repairs versus a professional job

You can buy a DIY kit for most repairs, and they can tidy up a tiny mark. The trouble is colour and preparation: they come in a handful of shades, and if the surface is not prepared the repair will not last.

A DIY attempt isn’t a disaster. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it doesn’t stop a professional repair. Just mention it when you send photos, as it can add time.

When we would advise against a repair

In fairness, there are a few things a repair will not fix:

  • Wear across the entire surface, which needs re-enamelling
  • Water coming from the waste or taps rather than the bath
  • Acrylic cracks with no access behind them

Send us pictures and we will tell you honestly before you book.

What we work on

  • Roll-top & freestanding
  • Acrylic
  • Whirlpool & spa baths
  • Pressed steel enamel
  • Cast iron enamel

Repair or replace: which is better?

A new bath costs more than the bath itself: removal and disposal, plumbing, a new panel, tiling and decorating. A repair is one job, done in one visit. Our bath repair starts from £95. Instead of hourly rates, we price the whole job up front. It depends on the damage, the material and access, and doing several items at once reduces it.

Why book with us

  • Colour mixed on the day to match
  • Accredited with CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor
  • No extra charge for your area
  • Free fixed quotes from pictures

The process

We turn up at the time we agreed with you, introduces themselves and checks the damage against your pictures first. Dust sheets and masking tape go down before we open a single tin. Most visits take two to three hours for most chips, and the room is left clean and tidy.

  1. We start by looking at the damage and confirming the plan with you.
  2. Loose enamel, rust and dirt are removed so the repair can bond.
  3. The damage is filled in layers and shaped to the curve of the bath.
  4. The colour is tinted by hand until it matches.
  5. The repair is polished to the same gloss as the bath and left to cure.

Preparing for the visit

  • Let the surface dry out before the visit
  • Tell us if there are stairs or a lift
  • Keep children and pets away from the room on the day

What we are called out for in Cornton

Many chips happen while the bathroom is being fitted. Tradespeople drop tools and tiles into the bath, and the damage isn’t always spotted until later. We repair snagging damage like this regularly.

Look out for any of the following:

  • Impact holes in acrylic
  • Damage done while the bathroom was being fitted
  • Cracks in an acrylic bath
  • A kit repair that didn’t last

  • If travel is included in the price
  • Who turns up on the day
  • How long it needs to cure
  • What the guarantee covers, and for how long

Choosing a repair company

What bath repair costs

Repairs from £95. We give every job a fixed price from pictures. These are the things that affect it:

  • Unusual colours or finishes
  • Any earlier repairs that need removing first
  • Whether we combine several jobs
  • What the surface is made of

The price depends on the type and amount of damage, what it’s made of and how many items we do on one visit. You get a fixed price from your photos, so you know the cost before you book.

Getting a price from photos

You can generally get a fixed price without us visiting. To make it quick:

  • A clear, close picture of the problem area
  • Daylight if possible, and no flash reflection
  • A coin or ruler next to the damage for scale
  • Details of any past repairs

A quote takes minutes to ask for: take one close-up and one wider shot of the bath, add your postcode and send them to us. What comes back is a fixed quote, not a guess.

Repairs by material

Pressed steel

Under the enamel of a steel bath is thin metal. Exposed steel rusts quickly, so we treat and seal the metal before filling.

Cast iron

Cast iron is heavy and rigid, finished with fired enamel. A chip down to the iron can rust, but the bath itself lasts for generations, so it’s always worth repairing.
