What your bath is made of matters
Composite and resin
Composite baths are dense and solid. Chips and scratches can be filled and colour-matched, in much the same way.
Cast iron
A cast iron bath is heavy enough that most people never want to move it. The enamel is the part that wears or chips, and that is what we repair.
Bath repair in Cwrt y Gollen without replacing anything
We have repaired just about every kind of bath damage: chips from dropped bottles, rust round the plughole, cracks in acrylic and holes from falling tools. All of it is repaired where the bath stands with a one-year guarantee. Our technicians work on whirlpool & spa baths, roll-top & freestanding and acrylic, and the jobs we see most are holes from dropped items and a cracked acrylic bath.
Big or small, it’s backed by a one-year guarantee.

Repairing versus replacing in Cwrt y Gollen
When the bath is otherwise sound, repairing beats replacing. It’s quicker, cheaper and far less disruptive, and the bathroom stays as it is. If the whole surface is worn, re-enamelling may make more sense, and we’ll tell you. Our bath repair starts from £95. A few things move the price: the amount of damage, the material, access to the area, and how many jobs we do in one trip. Photos let us give you a fixed figure.

What affects the price in Cwrt y Gollen
Repairs from £95. There’s no area surcharge for Cwrt y Gollen. The price reflects:
- Doing more than one item at once
- Previous DIY repairs that have to come out
- How hard the colour is to match
- What kind of damage it is
There are no surprise extras on the day. What we quote from your photos is what you pay, and if the damage turns out to be different, we discuss it before starting.
Send pictures for a quote
Two or three clear photos are usually enough. Try to include:
- The material, if you know it
- A coin beside the damage so we can judge size
- The postcode, so we can plan the visit
- A picture taken from further back
Getting a quote takes a couple of minutes: take one close-up and one wider shot of the bath, include your postcode and send them to us. You will get a fixed price, not an estimate.

When a repair is not the answer
To be straight with you, some problems need a different fix:
- A bath that flexes because its feet or cradle have failed (that needs fixing first)
- A steel bath rusted through
- Leaking fittings, which need a plumber
If in doubt, send photos and we’ll say what we think before booking.
What we work on
- Acrylic
- Pressed steel enamel
- Whirlpool & spa baths
- Roll-top & freestanding
- Cast iron enamel
DIY kit or professional repair?
It’s tempting to reach for a kit, but the repairs we redo most frequently are DIY ones that have discoloured or lifted. Doing it properly first is typically the cheaper route.
DIY kits are sold for most surfaces, and they can make a small mark look better. Where they fall down is colour and preparation: they come in a handful of shades, and if the surface isn’t prepared the repair will not last.
How to care for the repair
To keep it looking its best for years:
- Check that an acrylic bath does not move when you stand in it
- Avoid scourers, wire wool and gritty cream cleaners
- Fix dripping taps early to stop staining and limescale
- Rinse the bath after use, especially in hard water areas
Treat the repaired area like the rest of the bath: warm water, washing-up liquid and a soft cloth. Keep scouring pads and gritty cleaners away from it.
Rust spreads under enamel faster than most people expect. A chip the size of a fingernail can become a much larger patch if it’s left for months, so early repair keeps the cost down.
How the visit works
Your technician turns up at the time we agreed with you, introduces themselves and checks the damage against your photos first. The floor and nearby surfaces are covered before we open a single tin. The work itself takes a few hours, depending on the damage, and the room is left clean and tidy.
- We protect the bath and the floor around it.
- The damaged area is cleaned, keyed and degreased.
- We fill it, let it set, then sand it flush.
- Colour and gloss are matched to the surrounding surface.
- We clear up and give you the curing time, normally until the next day.
Before we arrive
- Let us know which floor the room is on
- Tell us about parking, stairs or access
- Have somewhere for us to park nearby if possible
