Bath repair in Deddington

Bath repair in Deddington, done in place

Whether your bath is steel, cast iron or acrylic, we can repair it. The method changes with the material: rust is treated on metal baths, while cracks in acrylic are reinforced from underneath. If you are dealing with a failed DIY repair that’s discoloured or lifting and a hole punched through by something heavy, we can normally put it right, whatever the material.

Peace of mind is built in: each job carries a one-year guarantee, and we’ll explain exactly what it covers when we quote.

Questions from Deddington

What information do you need?

Use the quote form or ring 0345 017 0787, and we’ll do the rest.

How invisible is a bath repair?

The goal is a repair that blends in. The rest of the bath’s condition makes a difference.

Can pets and children be at home?

Just keep them out of the work area. We will let you know when it’s safe to use again.

Can you redo someone else’s repair?

Generally, yes. Tell us what was done before and we’ll plan for it.

Are there extra charges for Deddington?

There’s no separate call-out charge. Your fixed quote includes everything.

Is a bath repair permanent?

Done properly, a repair lasts for years, and ours come with a one-year guarantee. Gentle cleaning helps.

What happens next?

We review the pictures and send a fixed quote.

Can I add another job to the visit?

Yes. Doing several items on one visit typically costs less than separate visits. Include photos of each item.

How to care for the repair

A little care keeps the finish looking good. Our advice:

  • Keep metal cans and razors off the surface
  • Clean with warm water and a mild detergent
  • Have new chips seen to early
  • Give the bath a quick rinse after use

Leave the repair to cure for as long as we say before using the bath. After that, gentle cleaning keeps it looking good.

If an acrylic bath has a crack, stop showering in it until it’s repaired. Each time it flexes, the crack grows, and water can get through to the floor below.

How we price bath repair

Prices start from £95. Prices are worked out job by job. The main factors are:

  • Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off
  • Doing more than one item at once
  • Unusual colours or finishes
  • The type of damage

What it costs depends on the type and amount of damage, what it’s made of and how many items we do on one visit. We give a fixed quote from your pictures, so there are no surprises on the day.

Getting a price from photos

Good pictures mean an accurate price. Here’s what we find most useful:

  • Natural light rather than flash
  • A clear, close picture of the problem area
  • Where you are, by postcode
  • A wider photo showing the whole bath

For most jobs, photos are all we need to give you a price. Tell us what happened and where you are, and we will reply with a fixed quote and the earliest dates we have.

Do you need bath repair in Deddington?

Glass and heavy bottles cause more chips than anything else, with dropped shower heads close behind. Fittings cause damage too: water sits around them, and any chip there soon rusts.

Send us a picture if you notice any of these:

  • Hairline or through cracks in acrylic
  • Snagging damage from a refit
  • Rusty patches near the plughole
  • A chipped rim or side

Before booking anyone

  • Whether cleaning and preparation are in the price
  • A fixed price, and whether VAT is included
  • Whether they match the colour on site
  • What aftercare is recommended

Our hiring checklist

Repair or replace in Deddington?

When the bath is otherwise sound, repairing beats replacing. It costs less, takes less time and causes far less upheaval, and you keep the bath you chose. If the whole surface is worn, re-enamelling may make more sense, and we will tell you. Our bath repair starts from £95. A few things move the price: the amount of damage, the material, access to the area, and how many jobs we do in one trip. Send pictures and you’ll get a fixed figure.

Why us?

  • Technicians who travel to you, UK-wide
  • Rooms protected and left tidy
  • Accredited with CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor
  • Most jobs done in one visit

Different materials, different repairs

Acrylic

Acrylic feels warm and is light, but it needs firm support underneath. Repairs to cracks are reinforced from the back.

Composite and resin

Stone resin and composite baths are heavy and solid, and frequently freestanding. Chips and scratches can be filled and colour matched, in much the same way.

How the visit works

Here’s how a visit typically runs: we arrive at the agreed slot, protect everything around the work area, carry out the work and tidy away. Allow a few hours from start to finish. Before we go, we will explain when it can be used and what to avoid for the first few days.

  1. We clean the area and remove any loose enamel or rust.
  2. We fill the damage and sand it flush with the surrounding surface.
  3. We tint the finish on the day to suit your bath’s shade of white or colour.
  4. We apply the finish coats and polish the repair so it blends in.
  5. The repair is left to cure, and most baths can be used the following day.

Before we arrive

  • Tell us about any previous repairs or coatings
  • Avoid using the area for a few hours before we arrive
  • Move bottles, mats and clutter away from the area
