Bath repair at your home in Drax
Whatever has happened to the bath, we aim for the same result: a smooth, solid repair that blends in. Proper preparation, careful filling and shaping, then colour and gloss matching so it’s level with the surrounding surface. We regularly repair cast iron enamel, roll-top & freestanding and acrylic, and the jobs we see most are rust by the waste and overflow and a chipped rim or side.
The work is covered for a year after we finish. If anything isn’t right, ring us and we will come back.

How we price bath repair
Repairs from £95. We price every job individually. What matters most is:
- How much damage there is
- The type of damage
- Unusual colours or finishes
- Any earlier repairs that need removing first
The price reflects the work involved, not where you live. You will see the full price before booking.
Quotes from your photos
Phone photos are fine, there is no need for anything special. Ensure they show:
- The material, if you know it
- Whether it’s been repaired or coated before
- A clear, close picture of the problem area
- Where you are, by postcode
Email us a picture of the damage and a wider shot of the entire item, and tell us you are in Drax, and we’ll come back with a fixed quote.
Why repair rather than replace?
Swapping a damaged bath for a new one usually means a plumber, lifting out the old bath, making good the tiles and panel and disposing of the old one. A repair fixes just the damaged area in a single visit. Prices start from £95. Most people are surprised how affordable a repair is, particularly next to the cost of replacement. Send pictures and we will give you the exact figure.
Why us?
- Colour-matched on site
- Same prices wherever you are
- Nothing taken out or refitted
- Accredited with CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor
See our prices page or resurfacing vs replacement cost guide.
Keeping it looking good
Looking after the surface is easy:
- Keep abrasive pads and gritty cleaners away from the bath
- Have new chips seen to early
- Fix dripping taps early to stop staining and limescale
- Keep metal cans and razors off the surface
Look after the repair the same way as the bath: a soft cloth and washing-up liquid is all it needs. Keep scouring pads and gritty cleaners away from it.
Avoid standing in a cracked acrylic bath until it’s fixed. Each time it flexes, the crack grows, and water can get through to the floor below.
Drax: your questions answered
Can you redo an old repair?
Yes. We take out the old repair and do it properly. Mention it when you send pictures.
What happens if you find more damage?
We will show you and explain before doing anything extra. You will not be charged for anything you haven’t agreed.
Do you cover the entire of North Yorkshire?
The entire UK, including all of North Yorkshire. Just include your postcode and we will confirm dates.
What happens once I’ve sent photos?
We look at the photos and reply with a fixed price and some dates. If anything’s unclear, we’ll ask for another photo.
Can I add another job to the visit?
Yes. Combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down. Include pictures of each item.
Will it make a mess?
No. The work area is masked and covered, and we leave the room clean.
Is the work guaranteed?
Yes: twelve months. If anything goes wrong with the repair within the year, we return to fix it.
Can you fix rust around the plughole?
Yes. We take out the rust and any loose enamel, seal and fill the area, then colour-match the finish.

Landlord and trade work in Drax
Builders, developers and site managers book us for snagging repairs, fixing chips and scratches before handover. We hold CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accreditations.
Hospitality businesses need rooms back in use quickly, so most of our work is done in a single visit. We’ll fit around changeovers where we can.
Repairs by material
Pressed steel
Under the enamel of a steel bath is thin metal. Once a chip exposes it, rust follows quickly, so the metal is treated and sealed before the repair.
Acrylic
An acrylic bath is a moulded sheet strengthened from below. There’s no rust, but cracks, holes and scratches happen, and cracks need support from behind to stay fixed.
How it works
You don’t need to empty the room. Everything we use comes in the van with us, lay protective sheets and start once you’re happy with the plan. It usually takes two to three hours for most chips, and you can get on with other things while we’re there.
- We start by cleaning the damage and taking out loose enamel and rust.
- Next we fill the damage and sand it smooth and level.
- The colour is mixed on the spot to match your bath.
- Finish coats go on, then the repair is polished to blend in.
- We leave it to cure; you can usually use the bath the following day.
How to prepare
- Open a window if you can
- Keep children and pets away from the room on the day
- Let us know if it has been repaired before
How to get a price
There’s no need for us to visit first. Photos are enough for us to price nearly every job: we need a close-up, a wider picture and your postcode, and we will come back to you with a fixed figure.
