Bath and surface repairs in North Yorkshire

Bath repair at your home in North Yorkshire

You can usually use the bath the next day. A repair fixes just the damaged area and blends it into the rest of the bath, which is far cheaper than replacing a fitted bath. We work on acrylic, whirlpool & spa baths and cast iron enamel, and people most often call us about rust spots where the enamel has gone and chips from dropped bottles, tiles or tools.

Nearly all the chips we see comes from something dropped: a shampoo bottle, a shower head, a tile or a tool during a refit. On steel and cast iron baths, any chip down to the metal lets water in, and rust follows. Acrylic baths, on the other hand, crack when they flex, often around the taps or the plughole.

When we visit, we arrive at the time we’ve agreed, cover the area with dust sheets and masking, and set to work. Expect it to take a few hours. We clean up when we’re done and let you know when you can use it again.

  1. We start by cleaning the damage and taking out loose enamel and rust.
  2. The chip or crack is filled, then sanded level with the bath.
  3. We tint the finish on the day to suit your bath’s shade of white or colour.
  4. We apply the finish coats and polish the repair so it blends in.
  5. We leave it to cure; you can usually use the bath the next day.
