Bath repair in Flash without replacing anything

A damaged bath doesn’t have to mean a new bathroom. We fill the damage, shape it to the curve of the bath and refinish it, with the colour mixed on site so the repair is hard to spot. Whether it’s chips caused by builders and a failed DIY repair that’s discoloured or lifting, we can help, whatever the material.

The work is guaranteed for twelve months. If there is a problem with the repair within the year, we return and sort it.

What bath repair costs

Repairs from £95. Each job gets its own fixed quote. This is what makes a difference:

  • The material and finish
  • How easy the damage is to reach
  • How hard the colour is to match
  • Any earlier repairs that need removing first

Our prices are the same across the UK, so there’s no premium for Flash. What changes the price is the job itself: how much damage, what it’s made of and how many items.

Getting a price from photos

A couple of clear pictures is all it takes. It helps if you send:

  • One picture of the whole bath
  • One sharp close-up of the damage
  • A coin beside the damage so we can judge size
  • Your postcode, so we can check dates

Getting a quote takes a couple of minutes: take one close-up and one wider shot of the bath, include your postcode and send them to us. You’ll get a fixed quote, not an estimate.

Why repair rather than replace?

Replacing a bath rarely stops at the bath: tiles along the rim usually crack when it comes out, the panel may not fit the new one, and a plumber has to disconnect and reconnect everything. A repair skips all of it. Our bath repair starts from £95. No two jobs are quite the same, so each one is priced on its own. What’s damaged, how badly and how easy it is to reach all play a part, and doing several things on one visit costs less than separate visits.

Why Flash clients choose us

  • Free fixed quotes from pictures
  • No extra charge for your area

Can I fix it myself?

We understand the appeal of fixing it yourself. The trouble is that kit repairs frequently look fine at first and then fail, and the old filler has to come out before a proper repair.

For a hairline mark somewhere you’ll never see, a kit may be enough. For damage in plain view, cracks, holes or rust, or coloured finishes, it’s worth having it done properly.

What happens on the day

It’s a tidy, low-fuss visit. We agree the arrival time in advance, cover and mask the work area, then carry out the work, which normally takes two to three hours for most chips. If we find something your pictures didn’t show, we will explain it before carrying on.

  1. We start by cleaning the damage and taking out loose enamel and rust.
  2. The chip or crack is filled, then sanded level with the bath.
  3. The colour is mixed on the spot to match your bath.
  4. Finish coats go on, then the repair is polished to blend in.
  5. Once it has cured, typically by the following day, the bath is ready to use.

Before we arrive

  • Open a window if you can
  • Mention if the room is upstairs or in a flat
  • Mention any earlier repairs or resurfacing

How to compare quotes

For landlords and businesses

We carry out planned and one-off repairs for housing associations and facilities teams in Derbyshire and across the UK. Repairing in place avoids the disruption of a replacement, which matters when someone is living in the home.

We work for landlords, letting agents and housing providers in Flash as well as householders. Repairing between tenancies keeps void periods short, and it typically costs far less than a refit.

Flash questions

Do I need to be at home?

Yes. The technician needs access to the room for the visit, at a time that suits you.

Will there be a smell?

Expect a mild smell while we’re working.

What if the damage is worse than the photos show?

It’s rare, but if it happens we talk to you first. The price only changes if you agree.

Can landlords book you?

Yes. We carry out repairs for homeowners, landlords, letting agents, builders and businesses.

What areas do you cover?

We work UK-wide, so Flash is covered. Prices do not change with location.

Is a cracked acrylic bath repairable?

In most cases. We reinforce the crack from behind, then fill and refinish the front, so access behind the panel is important.

Can you match an avocado or pink bath?

Yes. The colour is mixed on site to suit your bath, including older coloured suites.

Can you redo someone else’s repair?

Typically, yes. We remove the old repair before doing a new one.

When we would advise against a repair

Before you book, it’s worth knowing the limits too:

  • A bath that moves underfoot, until its support is fixed
  • A steel bath rusted through
  • Leaks from the waste or overflow fittings (a plumber’s job)

Send us photos and we will tell you honestly.

Materials we work on in Flash

  • Pressed steel enamel
  • Roll-top & freestanding
  • Cast iron enamel
  • Whirlpool & spa baths
  • Acrylic

What your bath is made of matters

Cast iron

Cast iron baths are so heavy that repairing in place makes obvious sense. The enamel is the part that wears or chips, and that is what we repair.

Composite and resin

Stone resin and composite baths are heavy and solid. Chips and scratches can be filled and colour-matched, just like other baths.
