For landlords and businesses
We carry out planned and one-off repairs for housing associations and facilities teams. Repairing in place avoids the disruption of a replacement, which matters when someone is living in the home.
We’re used to working with agents and managing companies. Send the address, pictures and access details.
Bath repair in Great Burgh without replacing anything
You do not need a new bath because of a chip. Our technicians fill, shape and refinish the damage, mixing the colour on the day so the repair is hard to spot. Common call-outs are for a hole punched through by something heavy and a cracked acrylic bath, across cast iron enamel, acrylic and roll-top & freestanding.
The work is covered for a year after we finish. If anything is not right, ring us and we’ll come back.

Repair or replace: which is better?
A repair makes sense whenever the damage is localised. It’s a fraction of the cost of a new bath and fitting, it takes one visit, and the bathroom stays exactly as it is. Our bath repair starts from £95. We do not add extras on the day. What we quote from your photos is what you pay, unless the damage turns out to be different, in which case we talk to you first.

Common questions in Great Burgh
Can you repair several things at once?
Yes. Doing several items on one visit normally costs less than separate visits. Send pictures of everything you’d like done.
When can you do it?
Your quote comes with available dates. If it’s urgent, say so and we will do what we can.
Is a holed acrylic bath repairable?
Often, if there is access underneath. The hole is backed, filled and refinished to match.
Will I be able to see the repair?
The goal is a repair that blends in. The rest of the bath’s condition makes a difference.
Do the materials smell?
There may be a mild smell during the work, which fades afterwards.
Can a cracked acrylic bath be fixed?
Often, yes, if we can reach the underside to reinforce it. Check under the bath panel, or send us a picture.
Will the repair last?
It should, as long as the bath is firm and the area was prepared well. It’s covered by our one-year guarantee.
Can pets and children be at home?
Yes, as long as they stay out of the room we are working in. We will tell you when the room can be used again.

Honest limits
We won’t take on work that will not last, so here’s what a repair can’t put right:
- Leaks from the waste or overflow fittings (a plumber’s job)
- A steel bath rusted through
- A bath worn all over, where resurfacing makes more sense
If in doubt, send photos and we will say what we think before booking.
What we work on
- Pressed steel enamel
- Cast iron enamel
- Roll-top & freestanding
- Acrylic
- Whirlpool & spa baths

DIY repairs versus a professional job
It’s tempting to reach for a kit, but the repairs we redo most often are DIY ones that have discoloured or lifted. Doing it properly first is generally the cheaper route.
We understand the appeal of fixing it yourself. The risk is that a kit repair hides the damage for a while, then fails, and then the old filler has to be removed first.
Repairs by material
Cast iron
Cast iron baths are so heavy that repairing in place makes obvious sense. Only the enamel surface wears or chips, and that is what we repair.
Pressed steel
Steel baths are lighter than cast iron, but have a similar enamel surface. Chips rust quickly on steel, especially around the waste, so repair chips early.
Keeping it looking good
How the surface is treated afterwards matters:
- Give the bath a quick rinse after use
- If an acrylic bath flexes, have its feet adjusted
- Have new chips seen to early
- Get a dripping tap fixed promptly
Treat the repaired area like the rest of the bath: a soft cloth and washing-up liquid is all it needs. Keep scouring pads and gritty cleaners away from it.
Small chips are quick to repair. Left alone, they stain and can rust, so it’s worth getting them done early.
What happens on the day
We turn up at the time we agreed with you, introduces themselves and looks over the damage before anything else. Dust sheets and masking tape go down before we open a single tin. Most visits take a morning or an afternoon, and the room is left clean and tidy.
- First, we check the damage against your pictures and agree the plan.
- Loose enamel, rust and dirt are removed so the repair can bond.
- We build up the filler in layers, shaping it to the bath.
- We tint the finish by hand to match the bath.
- Finally, it’s polished to match the shine and left to cure.
How to prepare
- Mention any parking restrictions or tricky access
- Clear toiletries, mats and anything else from around the area
- Mention any earlier repairs or resurfacing
Ask for a price
A quote takes minutes to ask for: take one close-up and one wider shot of the bath, include your postcode and send them to us. What comes back is a fixed price, not a guess.
