Bath Repair in Halfway Houses
Chip and crack repairs to enamel, acrylic and cast iron baths for homes and businesses in Halfway Houses and across Kent. Free, fixed quotes from your pictures.
- Repairs from £95
- A chip where the taps sit
- Damage done while the bathroom was being fitted

What your bath is made of matters
Pressed steel
Steel baths are lighter than cast iron, but have a similar enamel surface. Exposed steel rusts fast, especially around the waste, so early repairs matter.
Acrylic
Acrylic baths are moulded sheet reinforced underneath. There’s no rust, but cracks, holes and scratches happen, and cracks need support from behind to stay fixed.
About our bath repair in Halfway Houses
Most bath damage, from chips and cracks to rust spots and holes, is repaired in place. Nothing is unplumbed, your tiles stay as they are, and the repaired area is colour-matched so it blends in. Whether it’s rust by the waste and overflow and a chipped rim or side, we can help, on cast iron enamel, acrylic and pressed steel enamel alike.
All of our repairs are guaranteed for twelve months in Halfway Houses and everywhere else. If something goes wrong with the work, we come back.

Why repair rather than replace?
A repair makes sense whenever the damage is localised. It’s a fraction of the cost of a new bath and fitting, it takes one visit, and the bathroom stays exactly as it is. Prices start from £95. There are no surprise extras on the day. What we quote from your photos is what you pay, and if the damage turns out to be different, we discuss it before starting.

Can I fix it myself?
You can buy a DIY kit for most repairs, and they can make a small mark look better. The trouble is colour and preparation: they come in a handful of shades, and if the surface is not prepared the repair won’t last.
If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that’s fine. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it will not stop us repairing it. Just mention it when you send photos, as it can add time.
What bath repair costs
Repairs from £95. We price every job individually. What matters most is:
- Doing more than one item at once
- How hard the colour is to match
- What kind of damage it is
- How much damage there is
The price reflects the work involved, not your postcode. You’ll see the full price before you book, with nothing added on the day.
How to get a fixed quote
Phone pictures are fine, there is no need for anything special. Make sure they show:
- Where you are, by postcode
- Details of any past repairs
- Natural light rather than flash
- A picture taken from further back
Most clients in Halfway Houses get their price from pictures. Tell us what happened and where you are, and we will send back a fixed quote and some dates.
Honest limits
In fairness, some problems need a different fix:
- Rust that has eaten right through a steel bath
- Wear across the whole surface, which needs re-enamelling
- Acrylic cracks with no access behind them
Send us pictures and we’ll tell you honestly.
Materials we repair
- Roll-top & freestanding
- Pressed steel enamel

Aftercare tips
Most damage we see is avoidable. A few tips:
- Rinse the bath after use, especially in hard water areas
- Do not scrub with anything abrasive
- Don’t leave a fresh chip for long
- Cover the bath during DIY or decorating
A repaired bath needs no special treatment, just sensible cleaning. Avoid bleach-based and gritty cleaners and rinse after use.
Stop using the bath if a crack lets water through. Water under the bath can damage the floor and the ceiling below.
What we’re called out for in Halfway Houses
Rust tends to begin where water collects, around the waste, under the taps or in an old chip. Once water reaches the steel or iron, rust spreads under the enamel.
Customers typically contact us about:
- Snagging damage from a refit
- Rust spots around the plughole
- A kit repair that didn’t last
- Chips under the taps
What to look for in a quote
- Is the price fixed, and does it include VAT?
- How long it needs to cure
- Whether there are any call-out or travel charges
- What happens if the damage is worse than the pictures show
How it works
From the moment we arrive, we keep the work contained to the one room. We mask off everything nearby, the job takes two to three hours for most chips, depending on what we find, and we finish by cleaning up and talking you through the result.
- First, we check the damage against your pictures and agree the plan.
- Any rust and loose material comes out, and the area is degreased.
- We build up the filler in layers, shaping it to the bath.
- We tint the finish by hand to match the bath.
- The repair is polished to the same gloss as the bath and left to cure.
How to prepare
- Let the surface dry out before the visit
- Keep children and pets away from the room on the day
- Tell us about parking, stairs or access
Ask for a price
You do not need a survey visit. Photos are enough for us to price nearly every job: send a close-up, a wider shot and your postcode, and we’ll reply with a fixed quote.
