Bath repair at your home in Henley Street
A typical bath repair is a few hours’ work, and the bath is back in use the day after. There is no need to book a plumber or tiler, because the bath does not move. If you are dealing with holes from dropped items and snagging damage from a refit, we can usually put it right, on whirlpool & spa baths, roll-top & freestanding and pressed steel enamel alike.
You’re covered after we leave: our one-year guarantee applies to every job, and we explain what it covers before you book.

Repair or replace: which is better?
If the rest of the bath is in good condition, a repair is almost always the better choice. It’s quicker, cheaper and far less disruptive, and you keep the bath you chose. If the whole surface is worn, re-enamelling may make more sense, and we’ll tell you. Our bath repair starts from £95. Instead of hourly rates, we fix the price before we start. It depends on the damage, the material and access, and doing several items at once reduces it.

How it works
The work is clean and fairly quiet, so you can stay at home while we are there. We protect the area first, then the job itself takes a few hours. Before we leave, we explain how soon it can be used and how to care for it.
- First, the area is cleaned and any loose enamel or rust is removed.
- Next we fill the damage and sand it smooth and level.
- The colour is mixed on the spot to match your bath.
- We build up the finish and polish it into the surrounding enamel.
- Once it has cured, normally by the following day, the bath is ready to use.
Preparing for the visit
- Keep pets and children out of the room while we work
- Let the surface dry out before the visit
- Mention any earlier repairs or resurfacing

Materials and what they mean for the repair
Composite and resin
Stone resin and composite baths are heavy and solid. Chips and scratches can be filled and colour matched, in much the same way.
Acrylic
Acrylic baths are moulded sheet reinforced underneath. There’s no rust, but cracks, holes and scratches happen, and a crack only stays repaired if it’s supported underneath.
Should I try a DIY kit first?
What a professional repair adds is preparation, colour matching and finishing. We clean and key the area properly, mix the colour to your surface and finish it to the same sheen, and the work is guaranteed.
It’s tempting to reach for a kit, but many of the jobs we do start with putting right a DIY repair. Doing it properly first is typically the cheaper route.
Looking after it afterwards
Simple care helps the repair last. We recommend:
- Get any new chip repaired before it rusts
- Rinse the bath after use, especially in hard water areas
- Make sure an acrylic bath is firm underfoot
- Keep metal cans and razors off the surface
Leave the repair to cure for as long as we say before using the bath. From then on, mild cleaning is all it needs.
Rust spreads under enamel faster than most people expect. A chip the size of a fingernail can become a much larger patch if it’s left for months, so it pays to deal with it early.
How we price bath repair
Repairs from £95. There are no hourly rates or hidden extras. The price is based on:
- Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off
- How many items we do on one visit
- The type of damage
- The material and finish
Set against the cost of replacement, repairing usually costs far less, because nothing has to be taken out, refitted or made good. Your fixed quote shows exactly what’s included.
Getting a price from photos
It only takes a minute to photograph the damage. Please include:
- Whether it’s been repaired or coated before
- What it’s made of, if you know
- One sharp close-up of the damage
- One picture of the entire bath
For a price in Henley Street, pictures are the quickest way: a close-up, a wider shot and your postcode. You’ll get a fixed quote with dates to choose from.
Henley Street: your questions answered
What do you need from me?
A close-up, a wider photo and your postcode. Then we will agree a date.
Do I have to be there?
Yes. The technician needs access to the room for the visit, at a time we agree with you.
Can you repair something that’s been repaired before?
Yes, we often do. Removing the old work can add time, and that is in the quote.
Is there any odour?
Expect a mild smell while we are working that clears as it cures.
Can landlords book you?
Yes, often. We can quote for several properties together and work between tenancies.
Do you cover the whole of Kent?
Everywhere in the UK, Henley Street included. Travel is included in the price.
How soon can you come?
That depends on our diary for your area. Send photos with your postcode and we will reply with the earliest dates.
Can rust on a bath be repaired?
Yes, it’s one of the most common repairs we do. We take it back to sound metal, seal it, fill it and match the colour.
What we are called out for in Henley Street
Dropped items cause the majority of chips, and a lot happen during bathroom refits. Acrylic baths crack for a different reason: the bath is not properly supported, so it flexes under weight.
The most common problems we’re called about are:
- Impact holes in acrylic
- Deep scratches in acrylic
- Damage done while the bathroom was being fitted
- A chipped rim or side
What to look for in a quote
- How soon you can use it again
- Whether there are any call-out or travel charges
- A fixed price, and whether VAT is included
- Aftercare advice
What we can’t put right
Some problems need a builder, plumber or fitter rather than us:
- A bath that flexes because its feet or cradle have failed (that needs fixing first)
- Metal that has corroded all the way through
- Leaking fittings, which need a plumber
Not sure? Send photos and we will give you a straight answer before booking.
