Bath repair in Insch without replacing anything
Most of our bath repairs take a few hours, and you can generally bathe again the following day. There’s no need to book a plumber or tiler, because nothing is disconnected. We regularly repair whirlpool & spa baths, roll-top & freestanding and cast iron enamel, and common reasons people get in touch are snagging damage from a refit and a failed DIY repair that’s discoloured or lifting.
You get a one-year guarantee, the same in Insch as everywhere else we work.

Signs you need bath repair in Insch
Baths take more knocks than people expect: everyday items get dropped into it all the time, and taps and wastes are tightened against the surface. Over time, chips and rust spots are almost inevitable.
You may need us if you’ve spotted any of these:
- Deep scratches in acrylic
- Rust spots around the plughole
- Damage done while the bathroom was being fitted
- Holes from dropped items

Repairs by material
Pressed steel
Pressed steel is thinner and lighter, with an enamel finish like cast iron. Chips rust quickly on steel, especially around the waste, so repair chips early.
Cast iron
A cast iron bath is heavy enough that most people never want to move it. Only the enamel surface wears or chips, and that’s what we repair.
Honest limits
Honesty matters more than a booking, so here’s what a repair will not do:
- Leaking fittings, which need a plumber
- A whole bath that is dull or worn, where a full re-enamel is the better fix
- Acrylic cracks with no access behind them
Not sure? Send photos and we will give you a straight answer before booking.
What we work on
- Cast iron enamel

How it works
Your technician turns up when we said we would, introduces themselves and looks over the damage before anything else. The floor and nearby surfaces are covered before we open a single tin. Most visits take two to three hours for most chips, and the room is left clean and tidy.
- We clean the area and remove any loose enamel or rust.
- Next we fill the damage and sand it smooth and level.
- We tint the finish on the day to suit your bath’s shade of white or colour.
- We build up the finish and polish it into the surrounding enamel.
- Once it has cured, normally by the following day, the bath is ready to use.
Before we arrive
- Let us know if it has been repaired before
- Plan for the room to be out of bounds to pets and children
- Open a window if you can
Ask for a price
We price from pictures so you do not have to wait in for a survey. Use the quote form, or ring 0345 017 0787 to talk it through, and we’ll come back with a fixed figure.

Should I try a DIY kit first?
DIY kits are sold for most surfaces, and they can make a small mark look better. The trouble is colour and preparation: kits come in a few standard shades, and without proper cleaning and keying the filler often lifts.
A kit can be fine for a tiny mark out of sight. For anything you look at every day, anything that has rusted, cracked or holed, or anything on a coloured surface, it’s worth having it done properly.
Repair or replace: which is better?
A new bath costs more than the bath itself: removal and disposal, plumbing, a new panel, tiling and decorating. A repair is one job, done in one visit. Our bath repair starts from £95. There are no surprise extras on the day. What we quote from your pictures is what you pay, unless the damage turns out to be different, in which case we talk to you first.

Aftercare tips
A little care keeps the finish looking good. Our advice:
- Clean with warm water and a mild detergent
- Keep metal cans and razors off the surface
- A dripping tap stains enamel, so fix it early
- Give the bath a quick rinse after use
A repaired bath needs no special treatment, just sensible cleaning. Avoid bleach-based and gritty cleaners.
If an acrylic bath has a crack, stop showering in it until it’s repaired. Every use opens the crack a little more, and water can get through to the floor below.
Your questions about bath repair in Insch
Will it make a mess?
Dust sheets and masking go down before we start, and we clean up when we’ve finished.
Can you repair a failed DIY repair?
Yes, we do this frequently. We strip it out, deal with any rust and repair it again.
What does bath repair cost?
Prices start from £95. We give a fixed price based on pictures of the damage. Send a close-up of the damage and a wider photo and your postcode.
Is the work guaranteed?
All our work carries our one-year guarantee. Ask us what it covers when you get your quote.
Can landlords book you?
We do, regularly. We quote for multiple addresses and fit around tenancy changeovers.
Can you do more than one item on the same visit?
Yes. Combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down. Include photos of each item.
Can a cracked acrylic bath be fixed?
Typically, yes, if we can reach the underside to reinforce it. Check under the bath panel, or send us a picture.

Work for landlords and builders
Hotels, guest houses and holiday lets need rooms back in use quickly, so most of our work is done in a single visit. We’ll fit around changeovers where we can.
Rental properties take more wear, and replacing items every time a tenant leaves is expensive. Repairing between tenants keeps the property presentable for less.
