Bath repair at your home in Kingsbury

Bath repair is our most common job. A chip by the taps, a crack in the base and a rust spot by the plughole are all fixed without removing the bath, normally in a single visit. Whether it’s chips along the edge of the bath and an old repair that has yellowed or come loose, we can help.

You’re covered after we leave: each job carries a one-year guarantee, and we explain what it covers before booking.

Bath enamel chip by the waste, filled and colour matched (before and after)

Honest limits

Not everything can be repaired, and we would rather say so up front. Repairs will not solve:

  • Flexing caused by a failed cradle or loose feet
  • Rust that has eaten right through a steel bath
  • Leaks from the waste or overflow fittings (a plumber’s job)

Not sure? Send photos and we’ll give you a straight answer before booking.

What we work on

  • Pressed steel enamel
  • Acrylic
  • Whirlpool & spa baths
  • Cast iron enamel
  • Roll-top & freestanding

Questions from Kingsbury

Is a cracked acrylic bath repairable?

Generally, yes, if we can reach the underside to reinforce it. Take off the bath panel and check, or send us a picture.

What about rust by the waste?

Yes, very frequently. We take it back to sound metal, seal it, fill it and match the colour.

Are there extra charges for Kingsbury?

No. Our quotes include travel, and we charge the same wherever you are.

Do you repair coloured baths?

Yes, we match coloured baths too. We tint the finish to your bath on site.

What happens next?

We come back with a fixed quote, typically with dates to choose from. You are under no obligation.

How do I book?

Some pictures, your postcode and how to reach you. On the day, access to the room.

What areas do you cover?

All of Staffordshire, and the rest of the UK. There is no extra charge for travel.

Can you price it without visiting?

Generally, yes. A close-up and a wider photo are enough to give a fixed price.

Why repair rather than replace?

A repair makes sense whenever the damage is localised. It costs far less than a new bath plus fitting, it takes one visit, and the bathroom stays exactly as it is. Prices start from £95. Instead of hourly rates, we price the whole job up front. Damage, material and access decide it, and combining items on one visit brings it down.

Why book with us

  • Rooms protected and left tidy
  • Technicians who travel to you, UK-wide
  • A year’s guarantee on all work
  • Nothing taken out or refitted

Should I try a DIY kit first?

A DIY attempt isn’t a disaster. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it doesn’t stop a professional repair. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send pictures.

We understand the appeal of fixing it yourself. The trouble is that kit repairs frequently look fine at first and then fail, and the old filler has to come out before a proper repair.

Materials and what they mean for the repair

Cast iron

A cast iron bath is heavy enough that most people never want to move it. Only the enamel surface wears or chips, and that’s the part we put right.

Pressed steel

Steel baths are lighter than cast iron, but have a similar enamel surface. Chips rust quickly on steel, especially around the waste, so early repairs matter.

Do you need bath repair in Kingsbury?

Nearly all the chips we see start with something being dropped: bottles, shower heads, tiles and tools. On enamelled baths, any chip down to the metal lets water in, and rust follows.

You may need us if you’ve spotted any of these:

  • Deep scratches in acrylic
  • Cracks in an acrylic bath
  • Snagging damage from a refit
  • Chips on the rim or sides

What your quote should include

  • How your room will be protected
  • Whether they match the colour on site
  • How changes to the job are handled
  • How to look after the finish

Choosing a repair company

The process

On the day itself, there is little for you to do. Show us the job, point us to the room, and we will take it from there. The job generally runs to a few hours, depending on the damage.

  1. We start by cleaning the damage and taking out loose enamel and rust.
  2. We fill the damage and sand it flush with the surrounding surface.
  3. We tint the finish on the day to suit your bath’s shade of white or colour.
  4. Finish coats go on, then the repair is polished to blend in.
  5. The repair is left to cure, and most baths can be used the day after.

Preparing for the visit

  • Avoid using the area for a few hours before we arrive
  • Clear toiletries, mats and anything else from around the area
  • Mention any parking restrictions or tricky access

Getting a price

Getting a price is easy: snap the damage close up and then the entire item, send them to us with your postcode, and we will reply with a fixed quote. Quotes are free and no obligation.

Looking after it afterwards

Aftercare is simple, and it makes a real difference:

  • Fix dripping taps early to stop staining and limescale
  • Rinse the bath after use, especially in hard water areas
  • Get any new chip repaired before it rusts
  • Stick to mild cleaners and a soft cloth

For the first few days, keep heavy bottles off the repaired spot. After that, clean it as you would the rest of the bath without abrasive products.

Rust spreads under enamel faster than most people expect. Left for months, a small chip can grow into a large rust patch, so it pays to deal with it early.
