Bath chip & crack repair in Little Gransden, Central Bedfordshire
Fixed-price bath repair in Little Gransden and the surrounding area, done in a single visit in most cases.
- Repairs from £95
- Chips caused by builders
- Cracks in an acrylic bath

Can I fix it myself?
It’s tempting to reach for a kit, but many of the jobs we do start with putting right a DIY repair. Doing it properly first is usually the cheaper route.
You can buy a DIY kit for most repairs, and they can tidy up a tiny mark. The trouble is colour and preparation: kits come in a few standard shades, and without proper cleaning and keying the filler often lifts.
About our bath repair in Little Gransden
You don’t need a new bath because of a chip. Our repair technicians fill, shape and refinish the damage, with the colour mixed on site so the repair is hard to spot. If you’re dealing with rusty patches near the plughole and a kit repair that didn’t last, we can generally put it right.
You get a one-year guarantee, the same in Little Gransden as everywhere else we work.

Work for landlords and builders
For developers and builders, we fix damage before handover. We can visit several plots in one trip to keep costs down.
Housing associations and facilities teams use us for planned and reactive repairs. Repairing in place avoids the disruption of a replacement, which is easier on the people living there.
Repairing versus replacing in Little Gransden
For damage in one or two places, a repair is the obvious choice. It’s a fraction of the cost of a new bath and fitting, it’s done in one visit, and the bathroom stays exactly as it is. Prices start from £95. No two jobs are quite the same, so we price each one individually. The size and type of damage, the material and access all make a difference, and doing several things on one visit costs less than separate visits.

How the visit works
When we visit, the technician arrives at the agreed time, protects the room with dust sheets and masking and gets started. The job generally takes a morning or an afternoon. We tidy up before we leave and let you know when you can use it again.
- We start by looking at the damage and confirming the plan with you.
- Loose enamel, rust and dirt are removed so the repair can bond.
- The damage is filled in layers and shaped to the curve of the bath.
- We tint the finish by hand to match the bath.
- Finally, it’s polished to match the shine and left to cure.
Before we arrive
- Tell us about any previous repairs or coatings
- Keep a parking space free if you can
- Mention if the room is upstairs or in a flat

FAQs for Little Gransden
Can you do more than one item on the same visit?
Yes. Doing several items on one visit generally costs less than separate visits. Send photos of everything you’d like done.
What areas do you cover?
All of Central Bedfordshire, and the rest of the UK. Travel is included in the price.
Can you fix rust around the plughole?
Yes. We take out the rust and any loose enamel, seal and fill the area, then colour-match the finish.
I’m a tenant. Can you help?
Yes, though it’s best to check with your landlord first. Many landlords are happy for a repair to be arranged before the end of a tenancy.
What do you need from me?
Photos of the damage, a photo of the entire bath and your postcode. Then we will agree a date.
Do you repair coloured baths?
Yes. We mix the colour on the day to match, including older coloured suites.
Is a holed acrylic bath repairable?
Frequently, if there’s access underneath. We back the hole, fill it and refinish the surface.
What happens if you find more damage?
If we find something the pictures didn’t show, we explain it first. The price only changes if you agree.
Prices and what affects them
Prices start from £95. There’s no area surcharge for Little Gransden. What changes the price is:
- The type of damage
- Doing more than one item at once
- The material
- Where the damage is and how we get to it
There are no surprise extras on the day. What we quote from your photos is what you pay, and if the damage turns out to be different, we discuss it before starting.
Send photos for a quote
Most quotes are done from photos alone. To make it quick:
- Any details about the material
- A photo taken from further back
- A close-up of the damage, in focus
- Daylight if possible, and no flash reflection
Call 0345 017 0787 or use the quote form. With one close-up and one wider picture, we can give you a fixed price.
When a repair isn’t the answer
Not everything can be repaired, and we will tell you before we start. Repairs won’t solve:
- Rust that has eaten right through a steel bath
- Cracks in parts of an acrylic bath we can’t get to from below
- A bath that moves underfoot, until its support is fixed
If in doubt, send pictures and we will say what we think.
Materials we repair
- Roll-top & freestanding
- Cast iron enamel
- Whirlpool & spa baths
- Acrylic
- Pressed steel enamel
Different materials, different repairs
Cast iron
Cast iron is heavy and rigid, finished with fired enamel. Chips can rust if left, but the body of the bath lasts a very long time, which makes it well worth repairing.
Acrylic
Acrylic baths are moulded sheet reinforced underneath. They don’t rust, but they can crack, scratch or be holed, and a crack only stays repaired if it’s supported underneath.
