How we price bath repair
Repairs from £95. You’ll know the full cost before you book. We look at:
- Where the damage is and how we get to it
- The material and finish
- How many items we do on one visit
- How hard the colour is to match
There are no surprise extras on the day. The price we quote from your photos is the price you pay, unless the damage turns out to be different, in which case we talk to you first.
How to get a fixed quote
Most quotes are done from pictures alone. To make it quick:
- Daylight if possible, and no flash reflection
- The material, if you know it
- One picture of the whole bath
- A coin or ruler next to the damage for scale
Pricing is simple: snap the damage close up and then the entire item, send them to us with your postcode, and you will get a fixed price back. There is no charge for the quote and you’re under no obligation.
Bath repair in Little Hay, done in place
A damaged bath does not have to mean a new bathroom. Our technicians fill, shape and refinish the damage, mixing the colour on the day so the repair is hard to spot. We’re often asked to fix snagging damage from a refit and a chip where the taps sit, across cast iron enamel, whirlpool & spa baths and pressed steel enamel.
You’re covered after we leave: each job carries a one-year guarantee, and we’ll explain exactly what it covers when we quote.

Work for landlords and builders
We also carry out snagging repairs for builders and developers, fixing chips and scratches before handover so nothing needs replacing. We hold CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accreditations.
Rental properties take more wear, and replacing items every time a tenant leaves is expensive. A repair between tenancies is a cheaper way to keep the property in good order.

What we can’t put right
Before you book, it’s worth knowing the limits:
- Cracks in acrylic we cannot reach from underneath
- A bath that moves underfoot, until its support is fixed
- A whole bath that is dull or worn, where a full re-enamel is the better fix
If in doubt, send photos and we’ll say what we think.
Materials we work on in Little Hay
- Acrylic
- Cast iron enamel
- Roll-top & freestanding
- Whirlpool & spa baths
- Pressed steel enamel
Repairs by material
Pressed steel
Pressed steel is thinner and lighter, with an enamel finish like cast iron. Exposed steel rusts fast, especially around the waste, so early repairs matter.
Cast iron
Cast iron baths are thick and very strong, finished with fired enamel. Chips can rust if left, but the body of the bath lasts a very long time, which makes it well worth repairing.
Little Hay: your questions answered
Can you match an avocado or pink bath?
Yes, we match coloured baths too. We tint the finish to your bath on site.
Is it messy?
Dust sheets and masking go down before we start, and we clean up when we’ve finished.
Can you fix rust around the plughole?
Yes, very often. We take it back to sound metal, seal it, fill it and match the colour.
Will the repair show?
On a glossy bath, you’ll struggle to find it. On worn enamel, it can look shinier than the rest.
How much does bath repair cost in Little Hay?
Prices start from £95. We give a fixed quote from your pictures. Send a close-up of the damage and a wider photo with your WS14 postcode.
What happens if you find more damage?
We will show you and explain before doing anything extra. Nothing extra is done without your say-so.
What areas do you cover?
Across the UK, and that includes Little Hay. Our prices are the same everywhere.
How quickly can you book me in?
That depends on our diary for your area. We’ll offer you dates when we send your quote.
What we do, step by step
Once we’re through the door, the aim is to do the job without disturbing the rest of your home. Surfaces nearby are masked off, the job takes a few hours, depending on the damage, and we finish with a tidy-up and a look at the finished work together.
- We clean the area and remove any loose enamel or rust.
- We fill the damage and sand it flush with the surrounding surface.
- The colour is mixed on the spot to match your bath.
- We build up the finish and polish it into the surrounding enamel.
- We leave it to cure; you can normally use the bath the next day.
Before we arrive
- Plan for the room to be out of bounds to pets and children
- Keep a parking space free if you can
- Let us know which floor the room is on

Advice
Should you replace it?
Swapping a damaged bath for a new one normally involves a plumber, lifting out the old bath, making good the tiles and panel and disposing of the old one. A repair deals only with the damage in one visit. Repairs from £95, with every job priced individually. We charge the same wherever you are, with no extra for Little Hay. What changes the price is the job itself: how much damage, what it’s made of and how many items.
Why us?

DIY repairs versus a professional job
If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that is fine. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it won’t stop us repairing it. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send photos.
If you do try a kit, read the instructions carefully, and do not use it until it has fully cured. If it fails, we can still put it right.
How to care for the repair
Looking after the surface is easy, and it makes a real difference:
- Do not scrub with anything abrasive
- Use a soft cloth and washing-up liquid for everyday cleaning
- Ensure an acrylic bath is firm underfoot
- Get a dripping tap fixed promptly
Use gentle, non-abrasive cleaners and try not to drop heavy bottles on the repair. Get any new chip seen to quickly, before rust can start.
Until we visit, a strip of waterproof tape over the damage helps, so water cannot get in. Remove it before the repair.
