Bath repair at your home in Low Row
We repair enamelled steel, cast iron and acrylic baths. Each material is repaired a little differently: rust is treated on metal baths, while cracks in acrylic are reinforced from underneath. We work on cast iron enamel, roll-top & freestanding and pressed steel enamel, and common reasons people contact us are damage done while the bathroom was being fitted and deep scratches in acrylic.
Peace of mind is built in: each job carries a one-year guarantee, and we explain what it covers before you book.

Repair or replace: which is better?
Think about the hidden costs of a new bath: removal and disposal, plumbing, a new panel, tiling and decorating. A repair is one job, done in one visit. Repairs from £95, with every job priced individually. It helps to know what pushes a price up or down: the amount of damage, the material, access to the area, and how many jobs we do in one trip. Photos let us give you a fixed figure.

Should I try a DIY kit first?
If you are set on a kit, follow its instructions closely, and give it the full curing time. If it fails, we can still put it right.
You can buy a DIY kit for most repairs, and they can tidy up a tiny mark. The trouble is colour and preparation: they come in a handful of shades, and if the surface is not prepared the repair will not last.
What we are called out for in Low Row
A cracked acrylic bath normally wasn’t supported properly. Loose legs, no proper cradle or a floor that gives let the bath move until it cracks.

- An old repair that has yellowed or come loose

How it works
We turn up at the time we agreed with you and looks over the damage before anything else. Dust sheets and masking tape go down before we open a single tin. Most visits take a few hours, depending on the damage, and the room is left clean and tidy.
- Dust sheets and masking go down around the bath.
- The damaged area is cleaned, keyed and degreased.
- Filler goes in and is sanded flush once it has set.
- We match both the colour and the shine.
- We clear up and give you the curing time, normally until the next day.
How to prepare
- Keep a parking space free if you can
- Let us know if it has been repaired before
- Avoid using the area for a few hours before we arrive

What a repair cannot fix
A repair is not always the answer, and we’ll tell you before we start. We cannot fix:
- Cracks in parts of an acrylic bath we cannot get to from below
- Flexing caused by a failed cradle or loose feet
- A bath worn all over, where resurfacing makes more sense
Not sure? Send photos and we will give you a straight answer.

Materials and what they mean for the repair
Cast iron
Cast iron baths are so heavy that repairing in place makes obvious sense. The enamel is the part that wears or chips, and that is the part we put right.
Acrylic
Acrylic baths are moulded sheet reinforced underneath. They do not rust, but they can crack, scratch or be holed, and a crack only stays repaired if it’s supported underneath.

Aftercare tips
Most damage we see is avoidable. A few tips:
- Rinse the bath after use, especially in hard water areas
- Clean with warm water and a mild detergent
- Keep abrasive pads and gritty cleaners away from the bath
- Store metal items away from the bath
Leave the repair to cure for as long as we say before using the bath. After that, gentle cleaning keeps it looking good.
If an acrylic bath has a crack, stop showering in it until it’s repaired. Each time it flexes, the crack grows, and water can get through to the floor below.
