Bath repair in Mannamead, done in place
You don’t need a new bath because of a chip. We fill the damage, shape it to the curve of the bath and refinish it, with the colour mixed on site so the repair is hard to spot. Common call-outs are for damage done while the bathroom was being fitted and hairline or through cracks in acrylic, across whirlpool & spa baths, cast iron enamel and roll-top & freestanding.
You’re covered for a year from the day of the repair. Just call us if there is a problem and we will sort it.

Landlord and trade work in Mannamead
Rented homes see more wear and tear, and replacing things at every changeover adds up. Repairing between tenants keeps the property presentable for less.
We’re used to working with agents and managing companies. Send the address, pictures and access details and we’ll arrange it.
What we’re called out for in Mannamead
Rust tends to begin where water collects, around the waste, under the taps or in an old chip. Once water reaches the steel or iron, rust spreads under the enamel.
You may need us if you’ve spotted any of these:
- Damage beneath the taps
- Chips on the rim or sides
- Snagging damage from a refit
- A hole punched through by something heavy
Before you book anyone

Can I fix it myself?
If you’re set on a kit, follow its instructions closely, and don’t use it until it has fully cured. If it doesn’t work out, we can still repair it properly.
A DIY attempt is not a disaster. We remove the old filler and start again, so it will not stop us repairing it. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send pictures.
Different materials, different repairs
Composite and resin
Stone resin and composite baths are heavy and solid, and often freestanding. Chips and scratches can be filled and colour-matched, just like other baths.
Acrylic
Acrylic baths are moulded sheet reinforced underneath. They do not rust, but they can crack, scratch or be holed, and cracks need support from behind to stay fixed.
How it works
The work is clean and fairly quiet, so you can carry on at home. We protect the area first, then the work takes a few hours, depending on the damage. At the end we talk you through how soon it can be used and how to care for it.
- First, the area is cleaned and any loose enamel or rust is removed.
- We fill the damage and sand it flush with the surrounding surface.
- We tint the finish on the day to suit your bath’s shade of white or colour.
- We build up the finish and polish it into the surrounding enamel.
- Once it has cured, normally by the following day, the bath is ready to use.
Before we arrive
- Open a window if you can
- Tell us about any previous repairs or coatings
- Tell us if there are stairs or a lift
How to get a price
The quickest way to a price is to send two or three photos using our quote form or ring us. We will tell you honestly whether it can be repaired.
Advice
Looking after it afterwards
After the repair has cured, a few habits help it last:
- Stick to mild cleaners and a soft cloth
- Cover the bath during DIY or decorating
- Get a dripping tap fixed promptly
- Rinse the bath after use, especially in hard water areas
Leave the repair to cure for as long as we say before using the bath. After that, gentle cleaning keeps it looking good.
Tape over a fresh chip or crack until it’s repaired, to keep water out. Take it off before we arrive.
Why repair rather than replace?
A new bath brings a chain of other jobs: tiles along the rim usually crack when it comes out, a new panel is frequently needed, and the plumbing has to be disconnected and refitted. A repair skips all of it. Prices start from £95. Rather than charging by the hour, we price the entire job up front. Damage, material and access decide it, and combining items on one visit brings it down.

Can you quote from pictures?

Yes, regularly. It can add a little time, which we include in the quote.

Photos of the damage, a photo of the whole bath and your postcode. After that, we just agree a date.
Do the materials smell?
There may be a mild smell during the work, which fades afterwards.
Do you work for landlords and businesses?
Yes. We work for landlords, agents, builders and businesses as well as homeowners in Mannamead.
Can pets and children be at home?

- Rust that has eaten right through a steel bath
- Acrylic cracks with no access behind them
- Water coming from the waste or taps rather than the bath
If in doubt, send photos and we’ll say what we think before you book.
