Need bath repair in Milton?

Bath repair in Milton, done in place

Whatever has happened to the bath, we aim for the same result: a repair that is smooth, sound and hard to spot. We prepare the area properly, fill and shape it, then match the colour and gloss so it sits flush with the rest of the bath. Common call-outs are for impact holes in acrylic and cracks in an acrylic bath, in acrylic, pressed steel enamel and roll-top & freestanding.

You are covered for a year from the day of the repair. Just call us if there is a problem and we will come back.

Different materials, different repairs

Composite and resin

Stone resin and composite baths are heavy and solid, and frequently freestanding. Chips and scratches can be filled and colour-matched, in much the same way.

Acrylic

An acrylic bath is a moulded sheet strengthened from below. There is no rust, but cracks, holes and scratches happen, and cracks need support from behind to stay fixed.

What we can’t put right

To be straight with you, some problems need a different fix:

  • A whole bath that is dull or worn, where a full re-enamel is the better fix
  • A bath that moves underfoot, until its support is fixed
  • Metal that has corroded all the way through

Send us pictures and we’ll tell you honestly.

Materials we repair

  • Roll-top & freestanding
  • Whirlpool & spa baths
  • Pressed steel enamel
  • Cast iron enamel
  • Acrylic

Repairing versus replacing in Milton

People frequently assume a cracked or chipped bath has to come out. Usually it does not: a proper repair gives it years more use, without the cost and upheaval of replacing it. Prices start from £95. Every job is a little different, so we price each one individually. What’s damaged, how badly and how easy it is to reach all make a difference, and doing several things on one visit costs less than separate visits.

Why us?

  • Most jobs done in one visit
  • Free fixed quotes from pictures
  • We leave the room as we found it
  • We’ll tell you if it’s not worth repairing

Take a look at our prices page or guide to resurfacing and replacement costs.

DIY kit or professional repair?

A DIY attempt is not a disaster. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it does not stop a professional repair. Just mention it when you send photos, as it can add time.

If you’re set on a kit, follow its instructions closely, and give it the full curing time. If it fails, we can still put it right.

How it works

On the day itself, there is little for you to do. Show us the job, point us to the room, and we’ll take it from there. Most visits take a few hours, depending on the damage.

  1. We protect the bath and the floor around it.
  2. The damaged area is cleaned, keyed and degreased, and any rust is treated.
  3. Filler goes in and is sanded flush once it has set.
  4. We match both the colour and the shine.
  5. We tidy up and tell you when the bath can be used, typically the following day.

How to care for the repair

A little care keeps the finish looking good. We recommend:

  • Avoid scourers, wire wool and gritty cream cleaners
  • Check that an acrylic bath does not move when you stand in it
  • Rinse the bath after use, especially in hard water areas
  • Fix dripping taps early to stop staining and limescale

Care for the repair the same way as the bath: a soft cloth and washing-up liquid is all it needs. Avoid scourers and gritty cream cleaners.

If water is getting through a crack, stop using the bath until it’s repaired. Leaks under a bath can damage floors and ceilings.

What we’re called out for in Milton

Rust generally starts where water sits, around the waste, under the taps or in an old chip. Water on bare metal causes rust that creeps under the surrounding enamel.

Send us a photo if you notice any of these:

  • An old repair that has yellowed or come loose
  • Rust spots around the plughole
  • A cracked acrylic bath
  • Damage beneath the taps

What to look for in a quote

  • How soon you can use it again
  • How the room is protected while they work
  • What preparation is included
  • Whether the colour is mixed to match

Questions from Milton

Do the materials smell?

There can be some smell while we work, which is why we ventilate. It clears as the materials cure.

Can you repair a crack in an acrylic bath?

Often, yes, if we can reach the underside to reinforce it. Check under the bath panel, or send us a picture.

Is a holed acrylic bath repairable?

Frequently, if there’s access underneath. We back the hole, fill it and refinish the surface.

Can you redo an old repair?

Yes. We remove the old filler and start again. Mention it when you send photos.

I’m a tenant. Can you help?

Yes. Check with your landlord; we can send the quote to them too.

Do you come to Milton?

Yes. We work across the UK and come to Milton and the rest of Wiltshire. Send photos and we’ll quote, or call 0345 017 0787.

Can you do more than one item on the same visit?

Yes. Doing several items on one visit generally costs less than separate visits. Include photos of each item.

Do you charge for travel?

We do not add a call-out fee. Your fixed price includes everything.

How we price bath repair

Prices start from £95. Each job gets its own fixed quote. This is what makes a difference:

  • Whether it’s a chip, crack, burn or wear
  • Doing more than one item at once
  • Where the damage is and how we get to it
  • What the surface is made of

It helps to know what pushes a price up or down: access, material, the extent of the damage and whether we can do several items together. Photos let us give you a fixed figure.

How to get a fixed quote

It only takes a minute to photograph the damage. Please include:

  • A coin beside the damage so we can judge size
  • Where you are, by postcode
  • Details of any past repairs
  • A clear, close picture of the problem area

For a price in Milton, pictures are the quickest way: one close up, one from further back, plus your postcode. We reply with a fixed quote and our next available dates.
