Bath and surface repairs in Wiltshire

How bath repair works in Wiltshire

Most baths can be used again the next day. A repair fixes just the damaged area and blends it into the rest of the bath, which is far cheaper than replacing a fitted bath and the tiles around it. We work on pressed steel enamel, whirlpool & spa baths and acrylic, and people most often call us about chips from dropped bottles, tiles or tools and cracks and holes in acrylic baths.

Nearly all the chips we see comes from something dropped: a shampoo bottle, a shower head, a tile or a tool during a refit. On steel and cast iron baths, any chip down to the metal lets water in, and rust follows. Acrylic baths tend to crack if they aren’t properly supported, often around the taps or the plughole.

On the day, we arrive at the time we’ve agreed, cover the area with dust sheets and masking, and set to work. Expect it to take a few hours. We tidy up before we leave and let you know when you can use it again.

  1. We clean the area and remove any loose enamel or rust.
  2. We fill the damage and sand it flush with the surrounding surface.
  3. We tint the finish on the day to suit your bath’s shade of white or colour.
  4. We build up the finish and polish it into the surrounding enamel.
  5. Once it has cured, usually by the next day, the bath is ready to use.
