Bath chip & crack repair in Morfa, Carmarthenshire
Chip and crack repairs to enamel, acrylic and cast iron baths in Morfa, carried out at your home and guaranteed for a year.
- Repairs from £95
- Damage done while the bathroom was being fitted
- A hole punched through by something heavy

Can I fix it myself?
For a hairline mark somewhere you’ll never see, a kit may be enough. For damage in plain view, cracks, holes or rust, or coloured finishes, a professional repair is worth it.
It’s natural to want to try a repair yourself. The trouble is that kit repairs often look fine at first and then fail, and the old filler has to come out before a proper repair.
Bath repair in Morfa without replacing anything
A typical bath repair is a few hours’ work, and the bath is back in use the next day. There’s no need to book a plumber or tiler, because the bath doesn’t move. Typical jobs include scuffs and scratches in the surface and chips along the edge of the bath, on whirlpool & spa baths, acrylic and cast iron enamel.
A one-year guarantee comes as standard, so you are covered after the visit.

How to look after the repair
Looking after the surface is easy:
- Have new chips seen to early
- Do not scrub with anything abrasive
- Make sure an acrylic bath is firm underfoot
- Keep metal cans and razors off the surface
A repaired bath needs no special treatment. Avoid bleach-based and gritty cleaners and give it a rinse after each bath.
If an acrylic bath has a crack, stop showering in it until it’s repaired. Every use opens the crack a little more, and water can get through to the floor below.
Repairing versus replacing in Morfa
If the rest of the bath is in good condition, a repair is almost always the better choice. It’s quicker, cheaper and far less disruptive, and you keep the bath you chose. If the whole surface is worn, re-enamelling may make more sense, and we will tell you. Prices start from £95. The price reflects the work involved, not where you live. The full price is agreed before you book.

What your bath is made of matters
Cast iron
Cast iron baths are thick and very strong, finished with fired enamel. Chips can rust if left, but the body of the bath lasts a very long time, which makes it well worth repairing.
Acrylic
An acrylic bath is a moulded sheet strengthened from below. They do not rust, but they can crack, scratch or be holed, and cracks need support from behind to stay fixed.
How the visit works
We begin by going over the job with you, so there are no surprises. Then the area is sheeted and masked and the work begins. Allow two to three hours for most chips.
- Dust sheets and masking go down around the bath.
- The damaged area is cleaned, keyed and degreased, and any rust is treated.
- We fill it, let it set, then sand it flush.
- We match both the colour and the shine.
- We clear up and give you the curing time, normally until the next day.
How to prepare
- Open a window if you can
- Tell us about any previous repairs or coatings
- Move bottles, mats and clutter away from the area
Ask for a price
Email us a picture of the damage and one of the whole item, and tell us you are in Morfa, and we will come back with a fixed quote.
Related advice
Do you need bath repair in Morfa?
Nearly all the chips we see start with something being dropped: a shampoo bottle, a shower head, a tile or a tool during a refit. On enamelled baths, a chip that reaches the metal will start to rust.
Keep an eye out for these signs:
- Scuffs and scratches in the surface
- Damage beneath the taps
- Rust spots around the plughole
- Cracks in an acrylic bath

What a repair can’t fix
In fairness, there are a few things a repair will not fix:
- Leaking fittings, which need a plumber
- A whole bath that’s dull or worn, where a full re-enamel is the better fix
- Acrylic cracks with no access behind them
If in doubt, send photos and we will say what we think.

Work for landlords and builders
Builders use us to fix snagging damage before handover. Several plots can be done in one visit.
Rented homes see more wear and tear, and replacing items every time a tenant leaves is expensive. Repairing between tenants keeps the property presentable for less.

Yes. We take out the old repair and do it properly. Mention it when you send photos.

We need someone to let us in. You do not need to watch us work.
What happens once I’ve sent pictures?
You get a fixed quote and available dates. If we need another angle, we will ask.
I rent my home. Can I book you?
Yes, though it’s best to check with your landlord first. Landlords are often glad to have it sorted.
Can you do more than one item on the same visit?
Yes. Doing several items on one visit typically costs less than separate visits. Include pictures of each item.
Will the repair last?
A properly prepared repair should last a long time, and ours come with a one-year guarantee. Gentle cleaning helps.
Can you repair a crack in an acrylic bath?
Generally, yes, as long as we can get to the back of the crack to support it. Take off the bath panel and check, or send us a picture.
Is a repair better than a new one?
Typically, when the rest is in good condition. Repairing avoids the cost and disruption of replacing. We will tell you honestly if replacement makes more sense.
