Bath repair at your home in New Houses
Most bath damage, from chips and cracks to rust spots and holes, is repaired in place. There’s no plumbing to disconnect, your tiles stay as they are, and the finish is matched to the rest of the bath. Common call-outs are for chips under the taps and a chipped rim or side, on cast iron enamel, roll-top & freestanding and pressed steel enamel.
You’re covered after we leave: our one-year guarantee applies to every job, and we will explain exactly what it covers when we quote.

How to care for the repair
A little care keeps the finish looking good. We recommend:
- Get any new chip repaired before it rusts
- Use a soft cloth and washing-up liquid for everyday cleaning
- A dripping tap stains enamel, so fix it early
- Rinse the bath after use, especially in hard water areas
Look after the repair the same way as the bath: a soft cloth and washing-up liquid is all it needs. Keep scouring pads and gritty cleaners away from it.
If an acrylic bath has a crack, stop showering in it until it’s repaired. Every use opens the crack a little more, and water can get through to the floor below.
Signs you need bath repair in New Houses
Many chips happen while the bathroom is being fitted. Tradespeople drop tools and tiles into the bath, frequently before anyone notices. Snagging repairs like these are a regular job for us.
Signs it’s time to call us include:
- Scratches you can feel with a fingernail
- Cracks in an acrylic bath
- Holes from dropped items
- Snagging damage from a refit
Comparing quotes
- How the colour is matched
- What preparation is included
- Who turns up on the day
- What happens if they find more damage
Should you replace it?
If the rest of the bath is in good condition, a repair is almost always the better choice. It costs less, takes less time and causes far less upheaval, and you keep the bath you chose. Where the entire surface is tired, we may suggest re-enamelling instead. Repairs from £95, with every job priced individually. The price depends on how much damage there is and what kind, the material and how many jobs we combine into one visit. You get a fixed quote from your photos, so you know the cost before you book.
Why book with us
- Colour mixed on the day to match
- Every repair guaranteed for a year
- Nothing taken out or refitted
- Typically one visit, start to finish

What your bath is made of matters
Acrylic
An acrylic bath is a moulded sheet strengthened from below. There’s no rust, but cracks, holes and scratches happen, and a crack only stays repaired if it’s supported underneath.
Pressed steel
Under the enamel of a steel bath is thin metal. Exposed steel rusts quickly, so we treat and seal the metal before filling.
New Houses: your questions answered
Is there a call-out fee?
We do not add a call-out fee. Your fixed quote includes everything.
Do you hold any accreditations?
We hold CHAS, Constructionline, SafeContractor, SMAS Worksafe and Builder’s Profile accreditations.
Is a repair better than a new one?
Usually, if the item is otherwise sound. A repair avoids removal and making good. If replacing would be better, we’ll say so.
Can pets and children be at home?
Just keep them out of the work area. We’ll tell you when the room can be used again.
Is the work guaranteed?
Yes: twelve months. If anything goes wrong with the repair within the year, we return to fix it.
Do I have to be there?
Yes. We need access to the room while we work, at a time we agree with you.
Do the materials smell?
Expect a mild smell while we’re working that clears as it cures.
Can you redo someone else’s repair?
Most of the time. Let us know what was used before.
Should I try a DIY kit first?
If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that’s fine. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it does not stop a professional repair. Just mention it when you send pictures, as it can add time.
What a professional repair adds is preparation, colour matching and finishing. We prepare the area properly, mix the colour on site and polish the finish to match, and the work is guaranteed.

How we price bath repair
Repairs from £95. We do not charge extra for travel to New Houses. The price depends on:
- How many areas need work
- What the surface is made of
- Whether we combine several jobs
- What kind of damage it is
Rather than charging by the hour, we price the entire job up front. Damage, material and access decide it, and doing several items at once reduces it.
Quotes from your photos
When you take your photos, these tips help us give you a firm price:
- A wider photo showing the entire bath
- Where you are, by postcode
- A coin beside the damage so we can judge size
- What it’s made of, if you know
For most jobs, pictures are all we need to give you a price. Add a line about what happened and your postcode, and we will reply with a fixed quote and the earliest dates we have.
Work for landlords and builders
Rental properties take more wear, and replacing items every time a tenant leaves is expensive. A repair between tenancies is a cheaper way to keep the property in good order.
Hotels, guest houses and holiday lets need rooms back in use quickly, so we keep visits short and tidy. We can work around your bookings.
What we do, step by step
There is not much you need to do on the day. Let us in and show us the room, and we’ll take it from there. The job generally runs to a few hours, tidy-up included.
- We clean the area and remove any loose enamel or rust.
- We fill the damage and sand it flush with the surrounding surface.
- The colour is mixed on the spot to match your bath.
- We apply the finish coats and polish the repair so it blends in.
- We leave it to cure; you can generally use the bath the following day.
Getting ready for the visit
- Let us know which floor the room is on
- Let us know about parking or access
- Let the surface dry out before the visit
Get a quote
Getting a quote takes a couple of minutes: photograph the damage, then the entire bath, add your postcode and send them over. What comes back is a fixed quote, not a guess.
