Bath repair in Norton Subcourse without replacing anything
A repair fixes just the damaged area and blends it into the rest of the bath, which costs far less than replacing a fitted bath and the tiles around it. You can generally use the bath the next day. Typical jobs include rust by the waste and overflow and impact holes in acrylic, on cast iron enamel, whirlpool & spa baths and acrylic.
Every repair comes with a one-year guarantee.

Repair or replace in Norton Subcourse?
A new bath brings a chain of other jobs: tiles along the rim normally crack when it comes out, a new panel is frequently needed, and a plumber has to disconnect and reconnect everything. Repairing the damage avoids all of that. Our bath repair starts from £95. It helps to know what pushes a price up or down: the amount of damage, the material, access to the area, and how many jobs we do in one trip. Send pictures and you will get a fixed figure.
What you get with us
- Technicians who travel to you, UK-wide
- One visit for most repairs
- CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accredited
- Nothing taken out or refitted

For landlords and businesses
Hotels, guest houses and holiday lets can’t afford rooms out of action for long, so we keep visits short and tidy. We will fit around changeovers where we can.
We also carry out snagging repairs for builders and developers, fixing chips and scratches before handover. We hold CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accreditations.
Keeping it looking good
Looking after the surface is easy:
- Keep metal cans and razors off the surface
- Have new chips seen to early
- Stick to mild cleaners and a soft cloth
- If an acrylic bath flexes, have its feet adjusted
Give the repair the full curing time we recommend before using the bath. After that, gentle cleaning keeps it looking good.
A chip on a metal bath shouldn’t be left. Once water reaches the metal, rust begins, and a rust spot is a bigger repair than a clean chip.
What bath repair costs
Repairs from £95. We do not charge extra for travel to Norton Subcourse. The price comes down to:
- How much damage there is
- The material
- How hard the colour is to match
- Access to the area
Rather than charging by the hour, we fix the price before we start. Damage, material and access decide it, and doing several items at once reduces it.
Send photos for a quote
The better the photos, the more accurate the price. Here’s what we find most useful:
- Something in shot to show the size
- Whether it’s been repaired or coated before
- One sharp close-up of the damage
- One picture of the whole bath
There is no need for us to visit first. Photos are enough for us to price nearly every job: send a close-up, a wider shot and your postcode, and we will reply with a fixed price.
Signs you need bath repair in Norton Subcourse
Damage during fitting is very common. Tools, tiles and fittings get dropped into the bath, and the damage isn’t always spotted until later. Snagging repairs like these are a regular job for us.
If you can see any of these, send us a picture:
- Damage done while the bathroom was being fitted
- A kit repair that didn’t last
- Chips along the edge of the bath
- Rust by the waste and overflow
Before you book anyone
- A fixed price, and whether VAT is included
- What protection goes down before work starts
- What happens if the damage is worse than the photos show
- If travel is included in the price
Different materials, different repairs
Cast iron
Cast iron is heavy and rigid, finished with fired enamel. Chips can rust if left, but the body of the bath lasts a very long time, which makes it well worth repairing.
Acrylic
Acrylic is light and warm to the touch, but it needs firm support underneath. Cracks are strengthened from behind before the front is finished.
The process
We turn up when we said we would, introduces themselves and looks over the damage before anything else. The floor and nearby surfaces are covered before any work starts. Most visits take two to three hours for most chips, and we leave the room as we found it.
- We start by cleaning the damage and taking out loose enamel and rust.
- The chip or crack is filled, then sanded level with the bath.
- We mix the colour on the day to match your bath’s exact shade.
- We build up the finish and polish it into the surrounding enamel.
- We leave it to cure; you can typically use the bath the following day.
Before we arrive
- Let the surface dry out before the visit
- Mention any earlier repairs or resurfacing
- Move bottles, mats and clutter away from the area
How to get a price
Getting a quote takes a couple of minutes: photograph the damage, then the entire bath, add your postcode and send them over. You’ll get a fixed quote, not an estimate.
Advice
Norton Subcourse questions
What happens next?
We look at the photos and reply with a fixed quote and some dates. If we need another angle, we will ask.
Can you repair a hole in a bath?
In most cases. Send us a photo of the hole and one from under the bath if you can.
Will there be a smell?
It depends on the job, but often a little. Ventilation keeps it to a minimum, and it soon fades.
Can you quote from photos?
In nearly every case. If pictures don’t show enough, we will ask for another angle.
Will I be able to see the repair?
On a bath in good condition, a colour-matched repair is very hard to spot. On older, dull enamel the repair can look glossier than the area around it.
How quickly can you book me in?
It depends on the time of year and where you are. Send photos with your postcode and we will reply with the earliest dates.
Do you work in Norton Subcourse?
Yes. We work across the UK and travel to Norton Subcourse. Send us pictures for a fixed quote, or call 0345 017 0787.
What do you need from me?
Just pictures, your postcode and a contact number. On the day, access to the room.
