For landlords and businesses
We carry out planned and one-off repairs for housing associations and facilities teams in Cambridgeshire and across the UK. Repairing in place avoids the disruption of a replacement, which is easier on the people living there.
We work for landlords, letting agents and housing providers in Queen Adelaide as well as householders. Repairing between tenancies keeps void periods short, and it generally costs far less than a refit.
Bath repair in Queen Adelaide without replacing anything
Small damage on a bath is worth repairing early. On steel and cast iron, exposed metal starts to rust, while cracks in acrylic grow each time the bath moves. Repairing it stops the damage getting worse. We regularly repair whirlpool & spa baths, acrylic and pressed steel enamel, and common reasons people contact us are a hole punched through by something heavy and chips on the rim or sides.
You’re covered for a year from the day of the repair. Just call us if there is a problem and we will come back.

Should I try a DIY kit first?
You can buy a DIY kit for most repairs, and they can make a small mark look better. Where they fall down is colour and preparation: kits come in a few standard shades, and without proper cleaning and keying the filler frequently lifts.
The difference between a kit and a professional repair is mostly in the preparation and colour. We clean and key the area properly, mix the colour to your surface and finish it to the same sheen, and the work is guaranteed.
When we’d advise against a repair
A repair isn’t right for every job, including:
- Leaking fittings, which need a plumber
- Acrylic cracks with no access behind them
- Metal that has corroded all the way through
Send us pictures and we will tell you honestly.
What we work on
- Acrylic
- Pressed steel enamel
- Roll-top & freestanding
- Whirlpool & spa baths
- Cast iron enamel
What your bath is made of matters
Pressed steel
Under the enamel of a steel bath is thin metal. Exposed steel rusts quickly, so the metal is treated and sealed before the repair.
Acrylic
An acrylic bath is a moulded sheet strengthened from below. They don’t rust, but they can crack, scratch or be holed, and cracks need support from behind to stay fixed.
Queen Adelaide questions
Will I be able to see the repair?
On a bath in good condition, a colour-matched repair is very hard to spot. On older, dull enamel the repair can look glossier than the area around it.
Is it worth repairing rather than replacing?
Normally, if the item is otherwise sound. Repairing avoids the cost and disruption of replacing. If replacing would be better, we will say so.
Is a cracked acrylic bath repairable?
Typically, yes, if we can reach the underside to reinforce it. Take off the bath panel and check, or send us a picture.
Is there a call-out fee?
Travel is included in the price, and we charge the same wherever you are.
Can you redo someone else’s repair?
Normally, yes. The old repair comes out first.
Can pets and children be at home?
Yes, as long as they stay out of the room we’re working in. We’ll tell you when the room can be used again.
Are you accredited?
We hold CHAS, Constructionline, SafeContractor, SMAS Worksafe and Builder’s Profile accreditations.
Can I add another job to the visit?
Yes. Doing several items on one visit typically costs less than separate visits. Send pictures of everything you’d like done.
What affects the price in Queen Adelaide
Repairs from £95. There’s no charge for travel to Queen Adelaide. The price depends on:
- Access to the area
- Whether it’s a chip, crack, burn or wear
- Previous DIY repairs that have to come out
- The material and finish
We don’t add extras on the day. The price we quote from your photos is the price you pay, unless the damage turns out to be different, in which case we talk to you first.
Quotes from your pictures
Most quotes are done from pictures alone. To make it quick:
- A coin or ruler next to the damage for scale
- Where you are, by postcode
- One picture of the whole bath
- Any details about the material
A quote takes minutes to ask for: photograph the damage, then the entire bath, add your postcode and send them over. What comes back is a fixed quote, not a guess.
Keeping it looking good
After the repair has cured, a few habits help it last:
- Give the bath a quick rinse after use
- Fix dripping taps early to stop staining and limescale
- Use a soft cloth and washing-up liquid for everyday cleaning
- Ensure an acrylic bath is firm underfoot
Care for the repair the same way as the bath: a soft cloth and washing-up liquid is all it needs. Avoid scourers and gritty cream cleaners.
Small chips are quick to repair. Leave them and they collect dirt, stain and, on metal baths, rust, so it’s worth getting them done early.
How it works
Nothing needs to be moved out of the room beforehand. We bring everything we need with us, put protection down and start once you are happy with the plan. Most jobs take a few hours, and you can get on with other things while we’re there.
- We start by cleaning the damage and taking out loose enamel and rust.
- The chip or crack is filled, then sanded level with the bath.
- We tint the finish on the day to suit your bath’s shade of white or colour.
- We build up the finish and polish it into the surrounding enamel.
- Once it has cured, generally by the day after, the bath is ready to use.
Before we arrive
- Keep children and pets away from the room on the day
- Have somewhere for us to park nearby if possible
- Tell us about parking, stairs or access

Advice
Repair or replace in Queen Adelaide?
If the rest of the bath is in good condition, a repair is almost always the better choice. It’s quicker, cheaper and far less disruptive, and you keep the bath you chose. If the whole surface is worn, re-enamelling may make more sense, and we will tell you. Our bath repair starts from £95. Our prices are the same across the UK, so there is no premium for Queen Adelaide. What changes the price is the job itself: how much damage, what it’s made of and how many items.
