Common questions in Rhosrobin

What do you need from me?

Send pictures through the quote form or call 0345 017 0787.

Do you cover the entire of Wrexham?

All of Wrexham, and the rest of the UK. There is no extra charge for travel.

How soon can you come?

That depends on our diary for your area. Send pictures with your postcode and we’ll reply with the earliest dates.

Is a bath repair durable?

Done properly, a repair lasts for years, and it’s guaranteed for a year. Gentle cleaning helps.

Can you repair a hole in a bath?

Frequently, if there’s access underneath. We back the hole, fill it and refinish the surface.

Do you cover Rhosrobin?

Yes, we do. Repair technicians travel to Rhosrobin from across the region, and the price is the same as everywhere else.

How much does bath repair cost in Rhosrobin?

Repairs from £95. We give a fixed price from your pictures. Send a close-up and a photo of the entire item and your postcode.

Can you repair a crack in an acrylic bath?

Normally, yes, as long as we can get to the back of the crack to support it. Check under the bath panel, or send us a picture.

Landlords, agents and businesses in Rhosrobin

Rented homes see more wear and tear, and replacing things at every changeover adds up. Repairing between tenants keeps the property presentable for less.

If you manage property in Rhosrobin, we will quote for several properties at once. Send photos for each one and we will price them together.

Should you replace it?

Replacing a bath rarely stops at the bath: the tiles sitting on the rim tend to break, the panel may not fit the new one, and a plumber has to disconnect and reconnect everything. A repair skips all of it. Our bath repair starts from £95. A few things move the price: access, material, the extent of the damage and whether we can do several items together. Photos let us give you a fixed figure.

Keeping it looking good

It’s all simple stuff:

  • A dripping tap stains enamel, so fix it early
  • Stick to mild cleaners and a soft cloth
  • Check that an acrylic bath doesn’t move when you stand in it
  • Rinse the bath after use, especially in hard water areas

Leave the repair to cure for as long as we say before using the bath. From then on, mild cleaning is all it needs.

Small chips are quick to repair. Leave them and they collect dirt, stain and, on metal baths, rust, so it’s worth getting them done early.

What happens on the day

Arrival times are agreed in advance. On site, it takes two to three hours for most chips for most jobs. The room is left tidy and you’ll know when it can be used.

  1. We protect the bath and the floor around it.
  2. The damaged area is cleaned, keyed and degreased, and any rust is treated.
  3. We fill it, let it set, then sand it flush.
  4. We match both the colour and the shine.
  5. We tidy up and tell you when the bath can be used, generally the day after.

Getting ready for the visit

  • Keep a parking space free if you can
  • Mention if the room is upstairs or in a flat
  • Open a window if you can

Advice

Different materials, different repairs

Acrylic

Acrylic is light and warm to the touch, but it relies on good support. Cracks are strengthened from behind before the front is finished.

Pressed steel

Steel baths and trays have a thin metal body under the enamel. Exposed steel rusts quickly, so we treat and seal the metal before filling.

How we price bath repair

Repairs from £95. We don’t charge extra for travel to Rhosrobin. The price depends on:

  • Previous DIY repairs that have to come out
  • How much damage there is
  • What kind of damage it is
  • Whether we combine several jobs

Our prices are the same across the UK, with no extra for Rhosrobin. The job itself decides the price: how much damage, what it’s made of and how many items.

Send pictures for a quote

Almost every job we do is priced from pictures. This is what to send:

  • One sharp close-up of the damage
  • Natural light rather than flash
  • One picture of the whole bath
  • A coin beside the damage so we can judge size

Most customers in Rhosrobin get their price from pictures. Tell us what happened and where you are, and we will reply with a fixed quote and the earliest dates we have.

Can I fix it myself?

DIY kits are sold for most surfaces, and they can make a small mark look better. The trouble is colour and preparation: kits come in a few standard shades, and without proper cleaning and keying the filler frequently lifts.

If you do try a kit, read the instructions carefully, and give it the full curing time. If it fails, we can still put it right.
