Bath Repair for Rotherford homes
Our technicians come to Rotherford for chip and crack repairs to enamel, acrylic and cast iron baths. Nothing is taken out, with a one-year guarantee.
- Repairs from £95
- Chips caused by builders
- Deep scratches in acrylic

Should I try a DIY kit first?
If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that’s fine. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it does not stop a professional repair. Just mention it when you send pictures, as it can add time.
If you do try a kit, read the instructions carefully and work on a clean, dry surface, and do not use it until it has fully cured. If it fails, we can still put it right.
Bath repair at your home in Rotherford
Whatever the damage, the aim is the same: a repair that’s smooth, sound and hard to spot. We prepare the area properly, fill and shape it, then match the colour and gloss so it sits flush with the rest of the bath. We work on acrylic, roll-top & freestanding and pressed steel enamel, and people most often call us about a hole punched through by something heavy and a cracked acrylic bath.
Every job is backed for twelve months in Rotherford and everywhere else. We return to put right any problem with the work.

What bath repair costs
Prices start from £95. There is no area surcharge for Rotherford. What changes the price is:
- What kind of damage it is
- How hard the colour is to match
- Previous DIY repairs that have to come out
- How many areas need work
We charge the same wherever you are, with no extra for Rotherford. The job itself decides the price: how much damage, what it’s made of and how many items.
Quotes from your pictures
You can take the pictures on your phone, there is no need for anything special. Make sure they show:
- A wider photo showing the entire bath
- Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare
- What it’s made of, if you know
- The postcode, so we can plan the visit
No survey visit is needed: we price from pictures. Send them through the quote form, or call 0345 017 0787 if you’d rather talk it through.
Honest limits
Some problems need a builder, plumber or fitter rather than us:
- Wear across the whole surface, which needs re-enamelling
- A bath that flexes because its feet or cradle have failed (that needs fixing first)
- Cracks in acrylic we can’t reach from underneath
Not sure? Send photos and we’ll give you a straight answer.

What your bath is made of matters
Pressed steel
Steel baths and trays have a thin metal body under the enamel. Exposed steel rusts quickly, so the metal is treated and sealed before the repair.
Cast iron
Cast iron baths are thick and very strong, with a fused enamel surface. Chips can rust if left, but the body of the bath lasts a very long time, so it’s always worth repairing.
Aftercare tips
Once the work has cured, treat it gently:
- Get any new chip repaired before it rusts
- Give the bath a quick rinse after use
- Put a towel in the bath if you’re working above it
- Get a dripping tap fixed promptly
Use gentle, non-abrasive cleaners and try not to drop heavy bottles on the repair. Deal with new chips early, before rust can start.
Until we visit, a strip of waterproof tape over the damage helps, to keep water out. Take it off before we arrive.
What happens on the day
Nothing needs to be moved out of the room. Everything we use comes in the van with us, lay protective sheets and start once you’re happy with the plan. It normally takes a few hours, depending on the damage, and you can get on with other things while we’re there.
- First, we check the damage against your pictures and agree the plan.
- Any rust and loose material comes out, and the area is degreased.
- We build up the filler in layers, shaping it to the bath.
- We tint the finish by hand to match the bath.
- Finally, it’s polished to match the shine and left to cure.
How to prepare
- Mention any parking restrictions or tricky access
- Plan for the room to be out of bounds to pets and children
- Ensure the area is dry
