Our bath repair service in LS21
It pays to repair bath damage while it’s small. Exposed metal on enamelled baths soon rusts, and on acrylic, a crack keeps spreading while the bath flexes. Repairing it stops the damage getting worse. Typical jobs include deep scratches in acrylic and snagging damage from a refit, on whirlpool & spa baths, acrylic and roll-top & freestanding.
On the day itself, there’s little for you to do. Let us in and show us the room, and we’ll take it from there. The job generally runs to a few hours, tidy-up included.
- We protect the bath and the floor around it.
- The damaged area is cleaned, keyed and degreased.
- Filler goes in and is sanded flush once it has set.
- We match both the colour and the shine.
- We tidy up and tell you when the bath can be used, generally the day after.
Pricing in LS21
Repairs from £95, with every job priced individually. We charge the same wherever you are, with no extra for LS21. The job itself decides the price: the material, the amount of damage and how many items.

How to get a price
There is no need for us to visit first. Nearly every job can be priced from pictures: we need a close-up, a wider picture and your postcode, and we will come back to you with a fixed figure.
What’s near Otley
In Otley, that means homes near Bay Horse Public House, St Joseph's Catholic Primary School and Beech Hill Church, among other places. For rail, the closest station is Menston station, about 1.9 miles south-west. Further afield, we also cover the area around Wharfedale Hospital (0.6 miles north-west). The countryside around Otley includes Yeadon Tarn and The Chevin.
What a repair cannot fix
A repair is not right for every job, for example:
- A bath worn all over, where resurfacing makes more sense
- A steel bath rusted through
- Cracks in parts of an acrylic bath we can’t get to from below
DIY repairs versus a professional job
A DIY attempt isn’t a disaster. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it doesn’t stop a professional repair. Just mention it when you send pictures, as it can add time.
We understand the appeal of fixing it yourself. The risk is that a kit repair hides the damage for a while, then fails, and then the old filler has to be removed first.
Looking after it afterwards
Nothing complicated is needed, just a few sensible habits:
- Fix dripping taps early to stop staining and limescale
- Stick to mild cleaners and a soft cloth
- Get any new chip repaired before it rusts
- Ensure an acrylic bath is firm underfoot
There’s nothing special to do after a repair, beyond gentle cleaning. Avoid bleach-based and gritty cleaners and give it a rinse after each bath.
If water is getting through a crack, stop using the bath until it’s repaired. Water under the bath can damage the floor and the ceiling below.
Different materials, different repairs
Cast iron
Cast iron baths are so heavy that repairing in place makes obvious sense. Only the enamel surface wears or chips, and that is what we repair.
Acrylic
Acrylic baths are moulded sheet reinforced underneath. There’s no rust, but cracks, holes and scratches happen, and a crack only stays repaired if it’s supported underneath.
Why repair rather than replace?
For damage in one or two places, a repair is the obvious choice. It’s a fraction of the cost of a new bath and fitting, it takes one visit, and the bathroom stays exactly as it is.
What your quote should include
- Whether cleaning and preparation are in the price
- When it can be used again
- What happens if the damage is worse than the photos show
- Is the price fixed, and does it include VAT?
FAQs for LS21
What does bath repair cost?
Prices start from £95. Every job gets a fixed price based on photos of the damage. Send a close-up of the damage and a wider photo with your LS21 postcode.
It’s been repaired before. Can you still fix it?
Generally, yes. Tell us what was done before.
How long before I can use the bath?
Normally within a day, depending on the repair.
Can you do more than one item on the same visit?
Yes. Doing several items on one visit typically costs less than separate visits. Send photos of everything you’d like done.
Will I be able to see the repair?
On a bath in good condition, a colour-matched repair is very hard to spot. On worn enamel, it can look shinier than the rest.
