Bath chip & crack repair in Scholes, Bradford
Damaged bath in Scholes? We put it right where it is, mix the colour on the day and back it with a one-year guarantee.
- Repairs from £95
- Damage done while the bathroom was being fitted
- A cracked acrylic bath

Prices and what affects them
Repairs from £95. Each job gets its own fixed quote. This is what makes a difference:
- How many areas need work
- The colour and finish to match
- Whether it’s a chip, crack, burn or wear
- Access to the area
What it costs depends on how much damage there is and what kind, what it’s made of and how many items we do on one visit. You get a fixed quote from your photos, so you know the cost before booking.
Send pictures for a quote
We price nearly every job from photos. This is what to send:
- Any earlier repairs or coatings
- Where you are, by postcode
- A photo taken from further back
- A coin beside the damage so we can judge size
A quote takes minutes to ask for: take one close-up and one wider shot of the bath, add your postcode and send them over. You’ll get a fixed quote, not an estimate.
Bath repair in Scholes, done in place
Small damage on a bath is worth repairing early. Exposed metal on enamelled baths soon rusts, while cracks in acrylic grow each time the bath moves. A repair stops both. Common call-outs are for a hole punched through by something heavy and deep scratches in acrylic, in pressed steel enamel, cast iron enamel and acrylic.
Big or small, it’s backed by a one-year guarantee.

Scholes: your questions answered
Can you quote from pictures?
Normally, yes. Clear pictures let us give you a fixed price without visiting.
How do I book?
A close-up, a wider photo and your postcode. After that, we just agree a date.
What does bath repair cost?
Repairs from £95. Because every job differs, we price from photos. You’ll get a fixed figure before you book.
Can I add another job to the visit?
Yes. Doing several items on one visit usually costs less than separate visits. Include photos of each item.
Is my repair covered?
Yes, for a year. If anything goes wrong with the repair within the year, we return to fix it.
Can you repair a crack in an acrylic bath?
Generally, yes, if we can reach the underside to reinforce it. Check under the bath panel, or send us a picture.
Do I have to be there?
Someone needs to let us in and show us the job. You do not need to watch us work.
Is a holed acrylic bath repairable?
Frequently, if there is access underneath. The hole is backed, filled and refinished to match.
Can I fix it myself?
We understand the appeal of fixing it yourself. The risk is that a kit repair hides the damage for a while, then fails, and the old filler has to come out before a proper repair.
A kit can be fine for a tiny mark out of sight. For anything you look at every day, anything that has rusted, cracked or holed, or anything on a coloured surface, it’s worth having it done properly.
Honest limits
Before booking, it’s worth knowing the limits:
- Cracks in parts of an acrylic bath we cannot get to from below
- A bath that flexes because its feet or cradle have failed (that needs fixing first)
- A whole bath that is dull or worn, where a full re-enamel is the better fix
Send us pictures and we’ll tell you honestly before you book.
Surfaces we repair
- Cast iron enamel
- Pressed steel enamel
- Roll-top & freestanding
- Acrylic
- Whirlpool & spa baths
What your bath is made of matters
Cast iron
A cast iron bath is heavy enough that most people never want to move it. The enamel is the part that wears or chips, and that is the part we put right.
Acrylic
Acrylic is light and warm to the touch, but it needs firm support underneath. Cracks are strengthened from behind before the front is finished.

Repair or replace in Scholes?
When the bath is otherwise sound, repairing beats replacing. It’s quicker, cheaper and far less disruptive, and you keep the bath you chose. Where the entire surface is tired, we may suggest re-enamelling instead. Prices start from £95. Set against the cost of replacement, a repair is normally a fraction of the price, because there’s no removal, plumbing or making good. Your fixed quote shows exactly what’s included.
What you get with us
- A year’s guarantee on all work
- Honest advice, even when it means no job
- CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accredited
- Nothing taken out or refitted
Take a look at our prices page and resurfacing vs replacement cost guide.
Looking after it afterwards
After the repair has cured, a few habits help it last:
- A dripping tap stains enamel, so fix it early
- Avoid scourers, wire wool and gritty cream cleaners
- Stick to mild cleaners and a soft cloth
- Check that an acrylic bath does not move when you stand in it
Leave the repair to cure for as long as we say before running a bath. From then on, mild cleaning is all it needs.
Rust spreads under enamel faster than most people expect. A chip the size of a fingernail can become a much larger patch if it’s left for months, so early repair keeps the cost down.
How it works
Expect a friendly, tidy visit. We confirm the time with you beforehand, protect the area, and get on with the job, which usually takes a morning or an afternoon. If we find something your pictures didn’t show, we will explain it before carrying on.
- Dust sheets and masking go down around the bath.
- We clean, key and degrease the damage, and any rust is treated.
- Filler goes in and is sanded flush once it has set.
- Colour and gloss are matched to the surrounding surface.
- We clear up and give you the curing time, normally until the following day.
Preparing for the visit
- Point us to the nearest place to park
- Clear the area around the damage
- Make sure the area is dry
How to get a price
Pricing is simple: snap the damage close up and then the whole item, send them over with your postcode, and we’ll reply with a fixed price. Quotes are free and you’re under no obligation.
