When to call us in Seaton Ross
Most bath damage comes from something dropped: bottles, shower heads, tiles and tools. On enamelled baths, a chip that reaches the metal lets water in, and rust follows.
Send us a photo if you notice any of these:
- Deep scratches in acrylic
- A chipped rim or side
- A chip where the taps sit
- Cracks in an acrylic bath

Bath repair in Seaton Ross, done in place
Whatever the damage, the aim is the same: a repair that is smooth, sound and hard to spot. Proper preparation, careful filling and shaping, then colour and gloss matching so it’s level with the surrounding surface. Our technicians work on acrylic, roll-top & freestanding and whirlpool & spa baths, and people most frequently call us about a chip where the taps sit and a kit repair that didn’t last.
A one-year guarantee comes as standard, so you are covered after the visit.

How we price bath repair
Prices start from £95. There is no charge for travel to Seaton Ross. The price comes down to:
- Doing more than one item at once
- Previous DIY repairs that have to come out
- The material
- How many areas need work
Most people are surprised how affordable a repair is, especially compared with replacing and refitting. Send photos and we will give you the exact figure.
Getting a price from photos
You can take the pictures on your phone, there is no need for anything special. Just ensure we can see:
- A wider photo showing the entire bath
- What it’s made of, if you know
- Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare
- Your postcode, so we can check dates
To get a price, send two or three pictures through our quote form or call us. We will say straight away whether it can be repaired.
What happens on the day
There is not much you need to do on the day. Show us the job, point us to the room, and we’ll take it from there. Most visits take a few hours, depending on the damage, including clearing up.
- First, the area is cleaned and any loose enamel or rust is removed.
- Next we fill the damage and sand it smooth and level.
- The colour is mixed on the spot to match your bath.
- We apply the finish coats and polish the repair so it blends in.
- The repair is left to cure, and most baths can be used the next day.
Before we arrive
- Tell us if there are stairs or a lift
- Make sure the room can be ventilated
- Plan for the room to be out of bounds to pets and children

Seaton Ross: your questions answered
Which areas do you work in?
We cover the entire UK, including Seaton Ross and the rest of East Riding of Yorkshire. Send your postcode with your photos and we will confirm dates.
Is a cracked acrylic bath repairable?
In most cases. We reinforce the crack from behind, then fill and refinish the front, so access behind the panel is important.
Is it messy?
Very little mess: we sheet and mask everything nearby, and we take our waste away with us.
Do you do work for letting agents?
We do, regularly. We can quote for several properties together and work between tenancies.
Is it worth repairing rather than replacing?
Generally, yes. Replacement brings removal, refitting and making good, which a repair avoids. If it isn’t worth repairing, we will tell you.
Do you repair coloured baths?
Yes, we match coloured baths too. We tint the finish to your bath on site.
Can you redo someone else’s repair?
In most cases. We remove the old repair before doing a new one.
Will I be able to see the repair?
We aim for a repair you can’t easily find. How well it disappears depends on the condition of the rest of the bath, and we’ll tell you what to expect.
Different materials, different repairs
Composite and resin
Composite baths are dense and solid, and frequently freestanding. Chips and scratches can be filled and colour matched, just like other baths.
Cast iron
Cast iron is heavy and rigid, finished with fired enamel. Chips can rust if left, but the body of the bath lasts a very long time, so it’s always worth repairing.
Why repair rather than replace?
Swapping a damaged bath for a new one usually means a plumber, lifting out the old bath, re-tiling and a new panel and getting rid of the old bath. Repairing it deals only with the damage in a single visit. Our bath repair starts from £95. A few things move the price: the amount of damage, the material, access to the area, and how many jobs we do in one trip. Photos let us give you a fixed figure.
What you get with us
- No need to remove anything
- One-year guarantee on every repair
- Most jobs done in one visit

Should I try a DIY kit first?
It’s tempting to reach for a kit, but many of the jobs we do start with putting right a DIY repair. Doing it properly first is normally the cheaper route.
If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that’s fine. We remove the old filler and start again, so it doesn’t stop a professional repair. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send photos.
How to look after the repair
Good habits make a big difference to how long a repair lasts. Here’s what we suggest:
- Make sure an acrylic bath is firm underfoot
- A dripping tap stains enamel, so fix it early
- Stick to mild cleaners and a soft cloth
- Rinse it down after each bath
Keep metal objects like razors and cans off the surface, because they can mark the enamel. A dripping tap should be fixed early, too.
Rust spreads under enamel faster than most people expect. A chip the size of a fingernail can become a much larger patch if it’s left for months, so early repair keeps the cost down.
When we would advise against a repair
A few problems are outside what a surface repair can do:
- Rust that has eaten right through a steel bath
- Leaks from the waste or overflow fittings (a plumber’s job)
- A whole bath that is dull or worn, where a full re-enamel is the better fix
Send us photos and we will tell you honestly.
