Need bath repair in Shenley Green?

Why repair rather than replace?

A new bath brings a chain of other jobs: tiles along the rim normally crack when it comes out, a new panel is frequently needed, and a plumber has to disconnect and reconnect everything. Repairing the damage avoids all of that. Prices start from £95. Set against the cost of replacement, a repair is usually a fraction of the price, because nothing has to be taken out, refitted or made good. Your fixed quote shows exactly what’s included.

Why us?

  • No need to remove anything
  • Technicians who travel to you, UK-wide
  • Dust sheets down, tidy finish
  • One-year guarantee on every repair

Bath repair in Shenley Green without replacing anything

Repairing baths is what we do most. Chips on the rim, rust around the waste and cracks in acrylic are all fixed without removing the bath, normally in one visit. We work on whirlpool & spa baths, roll-top & freestanding and cast iron enamel, and common reasons people get in touch are a kit repair that didn’t last and deep scratches in acrylic.

All our work is covered by our one-year guarantee, wherever you are in Birmingham.

What we can’t put right

Not everything can be repaired, and we would rather say so up front. We can’t fix:

  • Leaks from the waste or overflow fittings (a plumber’s job)
  • A whole bath that’s dull or worn, where a full re-enamel is the better fix
  • Metal that has corroded all the way through

Not sure? Send pictures and we’ll give you a straight answer before booking.

Materials we repair

  • Acrylic
  • Roll-top & freestanding
  • Cast iron enamel
  • Whirlpool & spa baths
  • Pressed steel enamel

How we price bath repair

Prices start from £95. There are no hourly rates or hidden extras. The price is based on:

  • What the surface is made of
  • Previous DIY repairs that have to come out
  • Whether we combine several jobs
  • How much damage there is

Rather than charging by the hour, we price the whole job up front. Damage, material and access decide it.

How to get a fixed price

Almost every job we do is priced from pictures. This is what to send:

  • Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare
  • A wider photo showing the entire bath
  • One sharp close-up of the damage
  • Details of any past repairs

No survey visit is needed: we price from photos. Use the quote form, or ring 0345 017 0787 to talk it through, and we will come back with a fixed figure.

Repairs by material

Acrylic

Acrylic feels warm and is light, but it relies on good support. Repairs to cracks are reinforced from the back.

Composite and resin

Stone resin and composite baths are heavy and solid. Chips and scratches are filled and matched, just like other baths.

The process

We work cleanly and quietly, so you can stay at home while we are there. We protect the area first, then the work takes a few hours. At the end we talk you through how soon it can be used and how to care for it.

  1. First, we check the damage against your pictures and agree the plan.
  2. Loose enamel, rust and dirt are removed so the repair can bond.
  3. We build up the filler in layers, shaping it to the bath.
  4. The colour is tinted by hand until it matches.
  5. Finally, it’s polished to match the shine and left to cure.

How to prepare

  • Let us know about parking or access
  • Avoid using the area for a few hours before we arrive
  • Tell us about any previous repairs or coatings

Ask for a price

For most jobs, pictures are all we need to give you a price. Add a line about what happened and your postcode, and we will reply with a fixed quote and the earliest dates we have.

Aftercare tips

How the surface is treated afterwards matters:

  • Get any new chip repaired before it rusts
  • Check that an acrylic bath doesn’t move when you stand in it
  • Avoid scourers, wire wool and gritty cream cleaners
  • Clean with warm water and a mild detergent

There’s nothing special to do after a repair, beyond gentle cleaning. Avoid bleach-based and gritty cleaners and give it a rinse after each bath.

Do not leave a chip on a steel or cast iron bath. Water gets to the metal and rust starts, turning a quick repair into a bigger one.

Should I try a DIY kit first?

You can buy a DIY kit for most repairs, and they can tidy up a tiny mark. Where they fall down is colour and preparation: kits come in a few standard shades, and without proper cleaning and keying the filler often lifts.

The difference between a kit and a professional repair is mostly in the preparation and colour. We clean and key the area properly, mix the colour to your surface and finish it to the same sheen, then guarantee it for a year.
