Bath repair in The Calls, done in place
Small damage on a bath is worth repairing early. Exposed metal on enamelled baths soon rusts, and on acrylic, a crack keeps spreading while the bath flexes. A repair stops both. Typical jobs include a failed DIY repair that’s discoloured or lifting and scuffs and scratches in the surface, on roll-top & freestanding, pressed steel enamel and acrylic.
Big or small, it’s backed by a one-year guarantee in The Calls and across Leeds.

Different materials, different repairs
Cast iron
Cast iron baths are thick and very strong, with a fused enamel surface. A chip down to the iron can rust, but the bath itself lasts for generations, which makes it well worth repairing.
Composite and resin
Stone resin and composite baths are heavy and solid, and frequently freestanding. Chips and scratches are filled and matched, just like other baths.
When to call us in The Calls
Baths take more knocks than people expect: everyday items get dropped into it all the time, and fittings press hard against the enamel. Sooner or later, most baths pick up a chip.
Typical reasons for a call-out include:
- Impact holes in acrylic
- A failed DIY repair that’s discoloured or lifting
- A cracked acrylic bath
- A chip where the taps sit
What your quote should include
- When it can be used again
- A fixed price, and whether VAT is included
- Whether the price covers travel
- What happens if the damage is worse than the photos show

How to care for the repair
Simple care helps the repair last. We recommend:
- If an acrylic bath flexes, have its feet adjusted
- Don’t scrub with anything abrasive
- Clean with warm water and a mild detergent
- Give the bath a quick rinse after use
Look after the repair the same way as the bath: a soft cloth and washing-up liquid is all it needs. Avoid scourers and gritty cream cleaners.
Until we visit, a strip of waterproof tape over the damage helps, so water can’t get in. Take it off before we arrive.
For landlords and businesses
Builders, developers and site managers book us for snagging repairs, putting right damage done during fitting so nothing needs replacing. We hold CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accreditations.
For anyone letting property in or around The Calls, we’ll quote for several properties at once. Send pictures for each one and we’ll come back with a combined price.
Repair or replace in The Calls?
Many people think a damaged bath means a new one. Normally it doesn’t: a repair keeps the bath in service for years, and costs far less than the disruption of a replacement. Prices start from £95. A few things move the price: the amount of damage, the material, access to the area, and how many jobs we do in one trip. Send photos and you will get a fixed figure.
Why us?
- We leave the room as we found it
- CHAS and Constructionline accredited
- One visit for most repairs

When we would advise against a repair
A repair isn’t right for every job, including:
- Water coming from the waste or taps rather than the bath
- Acrylic cracks with no access behind them
- A bath that flexes because its feet or cradle have failed (that needs fixing first)
If in doubt, send pictures and we’ll say what we think before you book.

- Pressed steel enamel
- Cast iron enamel
- Acrylic
- Roll-top & freestanding
- Whirlpool & spa baths
What we do, step by step
There’s not much you need to do on the day. Let us in and show us the room, and we will take it from there. Most visits take two to three hours for most chips, including clearing up.
- First, we check the damage against your pictures and agree the plan.
- Loose enamel, rust and dirt are removed so the repair can bond.
- We build up the filler in layers, shaping it to the bath.
- The colour is tinted by hand until it matches.
- Finally, it’s polished to match the shine and left to cure.
How to prepare
- Let the surface dry out before the visit
- Mention if the room is upstairs or in a flat
- Have somewhere for us to park nearby if possible

Something went through my bath. Can it be fixed?
In most cases. Send us a photo of the hole and one from under the bath if you can.
What happens if you find more damage?
The price is fixed for what the photos show. If there is more, we’ll tell you before starting.

A properly prepared repair should last a long time, and ours come with a one-year guarantee. Gentle cleaning helps it last.
DIY repairs versus a professional job
If you do try a kit, read the instructions carefully, and don’t use it until it has fully cured. If it does not work out, we can still repair it properly.
A DIY attempt is not a disaster. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it won’t stop us repairing it. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send photos.
