Whatever the damage, the aim is the same: a smooth, solid repair that blends in. Proper preparation, careful filling and shaping, then colour and gloss matching so it sits flush with the rest of the bath. Whether it’s a hole punched through by something heavy and scuffs and scratches in the surface, we can help, whatever the material.

Can I fix it myself?

We understand the appeal of fixing it yourself. The risk is that a kit repair hides the damage for a while, then fails, and then the old filler has to be removed first.

If you do try a kit, read the instructions carefully, make sure the area is clean and completely dry, and give it the full curing time. If it does not work out, we can still repair it properly.

Looking after it afterwards

Much of the damage we repair could have been avoided. A few tips:

  • Keep metal cans and razors off the surface
  • Rinse the bath after use, especially in hard water areas
  • Don’t scrub with anything abrasive
  • If an acrylic bath flexes, have its feet adjusted

Do not leave razors, cans or hair grips in the bath, as they can leave rust marks. And fix dripping taps promptly.

Small chips are quick to repair. Left alone, they stain and can rust, so it’s worth getting them done early.

What bath repair costs

Prices start from £95. We give every job a fixed quote from pictures. These are the things that affect it:

  • How many areas need work
  • Whether we combine several jobs
  • Any earlier repairs that need removing first
  • The material and finish

The price reflects the work involved, not your postcode. You’ll see the full price before you book, with no extras added later.

Quotes from your pictures

Two or three clear photos are normally enough. Try to include:

  • The postcode, so we can plan the visit
  • Something in shot to show the size
  • Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare
  • One picture of the entire bath

Send us a photo of the damage and one of the whole item, with your NR9 postcode, and we will reply with a fixed quote.

The Street: your questions answered

Do I need to be at home?

Yes. We need access to the room while we work, at a time we agree with you.

I tried a repair kit. Can you fix it?

Regularly. The old material comes out, any rust is treated, then we repair it properly.

How do I get a price for bath repair in The Street?

Prices start from £95. The exact price depends on the damage, so we quote from pictures. You’ll get a fixed figure before booking.

What if the damage is worse than the pictures show?

It’s rare, but if it happens we talk to you first. You decide whether to go ahead.

How long does the repair take to cure?

Typically the day after. We confirm the time before we leave.

Is a bath repair durable?

Done properly, a repair lasts for years, and ours come with a one-year guarantee. Gentle cleaning helps it last.

Will I be able to see the repair?

We aim for a repair you can’t easily find. The rest of the bath’s condition makes a difference, and we’ll tell you what to expect.

Can you price it without visiting?

Nearly always. If photos do not show enough, we will ask for another angle.

Signs you need bath repair in The Street

Heavy toiletries are the biggest single cause of chips, with dropped shower heads close behind. Fittings cause damage too: water collects there, so chips nearby rust quickly.

The things clients typically mention when they call are:

  • A chip where the taps sit
  • Chips along the edge of the bath
  • Cracks in an acrylic bath
  • An old repair that has yellowed or come loose

What to look for in a quote

  • Whether a trained technician does the job
  • Aftercare advice
  • What happens if they find more damage
  • Whether the colour is mixed to match

Our hiring checklist

Repairing versus replacing in The Street

If the rest of the bath is in good condition, a repair is almost always the better choice. It costs less, takes less time and causes far less upheaval, and you keep the bath you chose. If the whole surface is worn, re-enamelling may make more sense, and we’ll tell you. Prices start from £95. Most people are surprised how affordable a repair is, particularly next to the cost of replacement. Photos let us give you the exact figure.

Why us?

  • Repair technicians who travel to you, UK-wide
  • Colour mixed on the day to match
  • One visit for most repairs
  • Nothing taken out or refitted

How the visit works

Your technician turns up at the time we agreed with you and checks the damage against your pictures first. The floor and nearby surfaces are covered before we open a single tin. The work itself takes a morning or an afternoon, and the room is left clean and tidy.

  1. Dust sheets and masking go down around the bath.
  2. We clean, key and degrease the damage, and any rust is treated.
  3. Filler goes in and is sanded flush once it has set.
  4. Colour and gloss are matched to the surrounding surface.
  5. We tidy up and tell you when the bath can be used, typically the day after.

Preparing for the visit

  • Move bottles, mats and clutter away from the area
  • Let us know which floor the room is on
  • Open a window if you can
