About our bath repair in Warland

Bath repair is our most common job. A chip by the taps, a crack in the base and a rust spot by the plughole are all fixed without removing the bath, normally in one visit. Typical jobs include chips along the edge of the bath and a failed DIY repair that’s discoloured or lifting, across whirlpool & spa baths, cast iron enamel and pressed steel enamel.

Peace of mind is built in: each job carries a one-year guarantee, and we will explain exactly what it covers when we quote.

Warland: your questions answered

How long before I can use the bath?

Normally by the following day, though it depends on what we have done.

Do the materials smell?

Expect a mild smell while we’re working, which fades afterwards.

Do you do work for letting agents?

Yes, frequently. We can quote for several properties together and work between tenancies.

How do I book?

A close-up, a wider photo and your postcode. After that, we just agree a date.

Is there a call-out fee?

We don’t add a call-out fee. Your fixed quote includes everything.

It’s been repaired before. Can you still fix it?

In most cases. The old repair comes out first.

Are you accredited?

Yes, including CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor. The full list is on our accreditations page.

What happens after I send photos?

You will get a fixed quote back, plus dates. There’s no obligation to book.

What affects the price in Warland

Prices start from £95. Quotes are free and the price is fixed. What we take into account:

  • Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off
  • The colour and finish to match
  • Doing more than one item at once
  • Where the damage is and how we get to it

We do not add extras on the day. What we quote from your pictures is what you pay, unless the damage turns out to be different, in which case we talk to you first.

Quotes from your photos

Phone pictures are fine. Just make sure we can see:

  • Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare
  • The material, if you know it
  • A close-up of the damage, in focus
  • Any earlier repairs or coatings

A quote takes minutes to ask for: take one close-up and one wider shot of the bath, include your postcode and send them to us. What comes back is a fixed quote, not a guess.

Repairing versus replacing in Warland

Replacing a bath rarely stops at the bath: the tiles sitting on the rim tend to break, a new panel is often needed, and the plumbing has to be disconnected and refitted. A repair skips all of it. Repairs from £95, with every job priced individually. The price reflects the work involved, not your postcode. The full price is agreed before booking.

For landlords and businesses

We are used to working with agents and managing companies. Send the address, pictures and access details and we will arrange it.

We work for landlords, letting agents and housing providers in Warland as well as homeowners. Repairing between tenancies keeps void periods short, and it generally costs far less than a refit.

Do you need bath repair in Warland?

Rust normally starts where water sits, by the plughole, beneath dripping taps or in an unrepaired chip. Once water reaches the steel or iron, rust spreads under the enamel.

Send us a photo if you notice any of these:

  • Scratches you can feel with a fingernail
  • Chips caused by builders
  • A failed DIY repair that’s discoloured or lifting
  • Hairline or through cracks in acrylic

What your quote should include

  • How long the guarantee is and what it covers
  • Whether there are any call-out or travel charges
  • What prep work is covered
  • How the colour is matched

Our hiring checklist

Should I try a DIY kit first?

If you’re set on a kit, follow its instructions closely and work on a clean, dry surface, and give it the full curing time. If it doesn’t work out, we can still repair it properly.

DIY kits are sold for most surfaces, and they can tidy up a tiny mark. The trouble is colour and preparation: they come in a handful of shades, and if the surface is not prepared the repair will not last.

Different materials, different repairs

Pressed steel

Steel baths and trays have a thin metal body under the enamel. Exposed steel rusts quickly, so we treat and seal the metal before filling.

Cast iron

Cast iron baths are so heavy that repairing in place makes obvious sense. The enamel is the part that wears or chips, and that’s what we repair.

What a repair cannot fix

Honesty matters more than a booking, so here’s what a repair cannot fix:

  • A bath that moves underfoot, until its support is fixed
  • Metal that has corroded all the way through
  • Acrylic cracks with no access behind them

If in doubt, send photos and we’ll say what we think before you book.

Surfaces we repair

  • Pressed steel enamel
  • Acrylic
  • Cast iron enamel
  • Roll-top & freestanding
  • Whirlpool & spa baths

How the visit works

There is not much you need to do on the day. Let us in and show us the room, and we’ll get on with it. The job generally runs to a few hours, including clearing up.

  1. Dust sheets and masking go down around the bath.
  2. The damaged area is cleaned, keyed and degreased, and any rust is treated.
  3. We fill it, let it set, then sand it flush.
  4. We match both the colour and the shine.
  5. We tidy up and tell you when the bath can be used, generally the day after.

Getting ready for the visit

  • Avoid using the area for a few hours before we arrive
  • Move bottles, mats and clutter away from the area
  • Let us know about parking or access
