Bath Repair in Wells
Bath repair in and around Wells: photo quotes, tidy work and a year’s guarantee.
- Repairs from £95
- Holes from dropped items
- An old repair that has yellowed or come loose

Keeping it looking good
A little care keeps the finish looking good. Our advice:
- Keep metal cans and razors off the surface
- Keep abrasive pads and gritty cleaners away from the bath
- If an acrylic bath flexes, have its feet adjusted
- Stick to mild cleaners and a soft cloth
Use gentle, non-abrasive cleaners and try not to drop heavy bottles on the repair. Deal with new chips early, before rust can start.
If an acrylic bath has a crack, stop showering in it until it’s repaired. Every use opens the crack a little more, and water can get through to the floor below.
Bath repair in Wells, done in place
A repair fixes just the damaged area and blends it into the rest of the bath, which costs far less than replacing a fitted bath. You can normally use the bath the day after. Whether it’s chips along the edge of the bath and a cracked acrylic bath, we can help, whatever the material.
All our work is covered by a one-year guarantee.

When a repair is not the answer
Some problems need a builder, plumber or fitter rather than us:
- Wear across the whole surface, which needs re-enamelling
- Acrylic cracks with no access behind them
- Leaking fittings, which need a plumber
Send us photos and we’ll tell you honestly before you book.
Materials we repair
- Roll-top & freestanding
- Acrylic
- Cast iron enamel
- Pressed steel enamel
- Whirlpool & spa baths
What bath repair costs
Prices start from £95. There’s no area surcharge for Wells. What changes the price is:
- Any earlier repairs that need removing first
- Access to the area
- What the surface is made of
- Whether we combine several jobs
Every job is a little different, so each one is priced on its own. What’s damaged, how badly and how easy it is to reach all make a difference, and combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down.
Getting a price from pictures
Almost every job we do is priced from pictures. This is what we need:
- The postcode, so we can plan the visit
- A close-up of the damage, in focus
- The material, if you know it
- Whether it’s been repaired or coated before
We price from photos so you do not have to wait in for a survey. Use the quote form, or ring 0345 017 0787 to talk it through, and you’ll get a fixed figure back.
DIY kit or professional repair?
You can buy a DIY kit for most repairs, and they can make a small mark look better. The trouble is colour and preparation: kits come in a few standard shades, and without proper cleaning and keying the filler often lifts.
If you’re set on a kit, follow its instructions closely and work on a clean, dry surface, and don’t use it until it has fully cured. If it doesn’t work out, we can still repair it properly.
Signs you need bath repair in Wells
A bath gets knocked about more than you’d think: everyday items get dropped into it all the time, and fittings press hard against the enamel. Over time, chips and rust spots are almost inevitable.
Send us a photo if you notice any of these:
- Damage done while the bathroom was being fitted
- Scuffs and scratches in the surface
- Chips under the taps
- Hairline or through cracks in acrylic
What to look for in a quote
- What happens if they find more damage
- What preparation is included
- What the guarantee covers, and for how long
- How soon you can use it again
The process
You don’t need to empty the room. Everything we use comes in the van with us, put protection down and get going once we have agreed what we are doing. Most jobs take a few hours, depending on the damage, and you can get on with other things while we’re there.
- First, we check the damage against your photos and agree the plan.
- Any rust and loose material comes out, and the area is degreased.
- The damage is filled in layers and shaped to the curve of the bath.
- We tint the finish by hand to match the bath.
- The repair is polished to the same gloss as the bath and left to cure.
How to prepare
- Make sure the area is dry
- Point us to the nearest place to park
- Mention any parking restrictions or tricky access
How to get a price
There’s no need for us to visit first. Photos are enough for us to price nearly every job: send a close-up, a wider shot and your postcode, and we’ll reply with a fixed price.

Questions from Wells
Which areas do you work in?
Across the UK, and that includes Wells. Prices do not change with location.
What does bath repair cost?
Repairs from £95. We give a fixed quote based on pictures of the damage. Send a close-up of the damage and a wider photo and your postcode.
Are you accredited?
Yes, including CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor. The full list is on our accreditations page.
Is a repair better than a new one?
Generally, yes. Replacement brings removal, refitting and making good, which a repair avoids. If it is not worth repairing, we’ll tell you.
Is a bath repair permanent?
It should, as long as the bath is firm and the area was prepared well. It’s covered by our one-year guarantee.
Do you come to Wells?
Yes, we do. We send a technician to Wells for every job, and the price is the same as everywhere else.
Is there any odour?
Expect a mild smell while we are working.
Can you repair something that’s been repaired before?
Generally, yes. Let us know what was used before.
Why repair rather than replace?
Cast iron baths especially are worth keeping: they’re very heavy to remove, especially upstairs, and a like-for-like replacement can be expensive. Repairing it leaves it where it is. Our bath repair starts from £95. A few things move the price: access, material, the extent of the damage and whether we can do several items together. Send pictures and you will get a fixed figure.
Why book with us
- Free fixed quotes from pictures
- Same prices wherever you are
- One-year guarantee on every repair
- We’ll tell you if it’s not worth repairing
