Chip and crack repairs to enamel, acrylic and cast iron baths for householders, landlords and businesses in Whipsiderry. Send pictures for a free, fixed quote.
- Repairs from £95
- Chips on the rim or sides
- A kit repair that didn’t last

Repairs by material
Composite and resin
Stone resin and composite baths are heavy and solid. Chips and scratches are filled and matched, just like other baths.
Acrylic
Acrylic feels warm and is light, but it relies on good support. Cracks are strengthened from behind before the front is finished.

The process
Once we’re through the door, the aim is to do the job without disturbing the rest of your home. We mask off everything nearby, the job takes two to three hours for most chips, depending on what we find, and we finish by cleaning up and talking you through the result.
- First, the area is cleaned and any loose enamel or rust is removed.
- The chip or crack is filled, then sanded level with the bath.
- We mix the colour on the day to match your bath’s exact shade.
- We build up the finish and polish it into the surrounding enamel.
- Once it has cured, generally by the next day, the bath is ready to use.
Before we arrive
- Clear toiletries, mats and anything else from around the area
- Have somewhere for us to park nearby if possible
- Let us know if it has been repaired before

Advice
Prices and what affects them
Repairs from £95. There’s no charge for travel to Whipsiderry. The price depends on:
- The material
- The type of damage
- Unusual colours or finishes
- Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off
We don’t add extras on the day. The price we quote from your photos is the price you pay, and if the damage turns out to be different, we discuss it before starting.
Quotes from your pictures
We price nearly every job from pictures. This is what to send:
- Any earlier repairs or coatings
- Something in shot to show the size
- One picture of the entire bath
- Where you are, by postcode
A quote takes minutes to ask for: photograph the damage, then the entire bath, include your postcode and send them to us. What comes back is a fixed quote, not a guess.

Your questions about bath repair in Whipsiderry
Will it make a mess?
Very little mess: we sheet and mask everything nearby, and we leave the room clean.
When can I have a bath again?
Usually the day after. We’ll tell you the exact curing time when we finish.
What happens after I send pictures?
We review the pictures and send a fixed quote.
Can you repair something that’s been repaired before?
Yes, regularly. Removing the old work can add time, and that’s in the quote.
Do I have to be there?
Someone needs to let us in and show us the job. After that, you can carry on with your day.
Is a bath repair durable?
Done properly, a repair lasts for years, and it’s guaranteed for a year. Gentle cleaning helps.
How quickly can you book me in?
That depends on our diary for your area. Send pictures with your postcode and we will reply with the earliest dates.
Can you quote from pictures?
In nearly every case. We only ask to see it in person if the photos cannot show what we need.
Can I fix it myself?
Kits are cheap and easy to find, but the repairs we redo most often are DIY ones that have discoloured or lifted. Getting it right first time is typically cheaper.
You can buy a DIY kit for most repairs, and they can tidy up a tiny mark. The trouble is colour and preparation: they come in a handful of shades, and if the surface is not prepared the repair won’t last.
What a repair can’t fix
To be straight with you, there are a few things a repair won’t fix:
- Leaking fittings, which need a plumber
- Flexing caused by a failed cradle or loose feet
- A whole bath that is dull or worn, where a full re-enamel is the better fix
Send us pictures and we’ll tell you honestly before booking.
Surfaces we repair
- Whirlpool & spa baths
- Roll-top & freestanding
- Acrylic
- Pressed steel enamel
- Cast iron enamel
How to look after the repair
After the repair has cured, a few habits help it last:
- Do not leave a fresh chip for long
- Put a towel in the bath if you are working above it
- Don’t leave razors or cans standing in the bath
- Rinse the bath after use, especially in hard water areas
Leave the repair to cure for as long as we say before using the bath. From then on, mild cleaning is all it needs.
Do not leave a chip on a steel or cast iron bath. Once water reaches the metal, rust begins, and a rust spot is a bigger repair than a clean chip.
Repairing versus replacing in Whipsiderry
Cast iron baths especially are worth keeping: getting one out, particularly from an upstairs bathroom, is a big job, and a like-for-like replacement can be expensive. A repair keeps it in place. Repairs from £95, with every job priced individually. Set against the cost of replacement, a repair is usually a fraction of the price, because nothing has to be taken out, refitted or made good. Your fixed quote shows exactly what’s included.
