Bath repair at your home in Windle Hill
Small damage on a bath is worth repairing early. On steel and cast iron, exposed metal starts to rust, while cracks in acrylic grow each time the bath moves. A repair stops both. If you are dealing with chips caused by builders and scuffs and scratches in the surface, we can help.
You’re covered for a year from the day of the repair. If anything is not right, ring us and we’ll come back.

Repairs by material
Pressed steel
Steel baths are lighter than cast iron, but have a similar enamel surface. Chips rust quickly on steel, particularly by the plughole, so early repairs matter.
Cast iron
A cast iron bath is heavy enough that most people never want to move it. Only the enamel surface wears or chips, and that’s what we repair.
What bath repair costs
Repairs from £95. We do not charge extra for travel to Windle Hill. The price comes down to:
- How easy the damage is to reach
- Whether we combine several jobs
- What the surface is made of
- Previous DIY repairs that have to come out
Compared with replacing, a repair is usually a fraction of the price, because there is no removal, plumbing or making good. Your fixed quote shows exactly what’s included.
Getting a price from photos
You can take the photos on your phone. Just make sure we can see:
- A picture taken from further back
- A clear, close picture of the problem area
- A coin or ruler next to the damage for scale
- Your postcode, so we can check dates
There is no need for us to visit first. Photos are enough for us to price nearly every job: send a close-up, a wider shot and your postcode, and we’ll come back to you with a fixed figure.
Do you need bath repair in Windle Hill?
Rust tends to begin where water collects, by the plughole, beneath dripping taps or in an unrepaired chip. Once water reaches the steel or iron, rust spreads under the enamel.
Send us a picture if you notice any of these:
- A hole punched through by something heavy
- Chips under the taps
- Cracks in an acrylic bath
- An old repair that has yellowed or come loose
What to look for in a quote
- Whether cleaning and preparation are in the price
- What happens if the damage is worse than the photos show
- How your room will be protected
- Whether there are any call-out or travel charges
Repair or replace in Windle Hill?
Cast iron baths in particular are worth repairing: they’re very heavy to remove, especially upstairs, and replacing like for like is not cheap. A repair keeps it in place. Repairs from £95, with every job priced individually. The price depends on the type and amount of damage, what it’s made of and how many items we do on one visit. We give a fixed price from your photos, so you know the cost before you book.
Why us?

Keeping it looking good
Aftercare is simple:
- Rinse the bath after use, especially in hard water areas
- Have new chips seen to early
- Don’t scrub with anything abrasive
- Do not leave razors or cans standing in the bath
In the first few days, avoid putting weight or bottles on the repair. After that, clean it as you would the rest of the bath.
Stop using the bath if a crack lets water through. Leaks under a bath can damage floors and ceilings.
What else we do in Windle Hill
The process
It’s a tidy, low-fuss visit. We confirm the time with you beforehand, protect the area, then carry out the work, which generally takes two to three hours for most chips. If anything looks different from your pictures, we will talk to you before going ahead.
- We start by looking at the damage and confirming the plan with you.
- Any rust and loose material comes out, and the area is degreased.
- The damage is filled in layers and shaped to the curve of the bath.
- The colour is tinted by hand until it matches.
- Finally, it’s polished to match the shine and left to cure.
How to prepare
- Let the surface dry out before the visit
- Clear toiletries, mats and anything else from around the area
- Tell us about any previous repairs or coatings

Windle Hill: your questions answered
Can pets and children be at home?
Keep pets and children away from the work area on the day, mainly so nothing gets touched before it has cured.
How invisible is a bath repair?
On a bath in good condition, a colour-matched repair is very hard to spot. On older, dull enamel the repair can look glossier than the area around it.
What do you need from me?
Some pictures, your postcode and how to reach you. On the day, we only need access to the room.
Do you do work for letting agents?
Yes. We work for landlords, agents, builders and businesses as well as homeowners.
Can you repair a hole in a bath?
Usually, yes, if we can reach behind it. We back the hole, fill it and refinish the surface.
Do you cover Windle Hill?
Yes. We work across the UK and travel to Windle Hill. Send pictures and we’ll quote, or call 0345 017 0787.
Is the work guaranteed?
All our work carries our one-year guarantee. Ask us what it covers when you get your quote.
How long before I can use the bath?
Normally by the following day, though it depends on what we have done.
