Bath repair for Woodhouse homes

How we handle bath repair in Woodhouse

Bath repair is our most common job. A chip by the taps, a crack in the base and a rust spot by the plughole are all repaired in place, generally in a single visit. If you are dealing with damage done while the bathroom was being fitted and scuffs and scratches in the surface, we can help.

We stand behind the work with a one-year guarantee, so you’re not left on your own once we’ve gone.

Landlords, agents and businesses in Woodhouse

We regularly work with letting and managing agents. Send the address, pictures and access details.

Housing associations and facilities teams use us for planned and reactive repairs in North Lincolnshire and across the UK. Repairing in place avoids the disruption of a replacement, which matters when someone is living in the home.

When we would advise against a repair

We won’t take on work that won’t last, so these are the limits:

  • Cracks in parts of an acrylic bath we cannot get to from below
  • Leaking fittings, which need a plumber
  • A bath that flexes because its feet or cradle have failed (that needs fixing first)

Not sure? Send pictures and we’ll give you a straight answer before you book.

What we work on

  • Acrylic
  • Pressed steel enamel
  • Roll-top & freestanding
  • Cast iron enamel
  • Whirlpool & spa baths

FAQs for Woodhouse

Can landlords book you?

Yes. We work for landlords, agents, builders and businesses as well as householders.

Can you redo an old repair?

Yes. We take out the old repair and do it properly. Mention it when you send pictures.

Can tenants book a repair?

Yes, though it’s best to check with your landlord first. Landlords are often glad to have it sorted.

Do you come to Woodhouse?

Yes. We cover the entire UK and come to Woodhouse and the rest of North Lincolnshire. Send pictures and we will quote, or call 0345 017 0787.

What do you need from me?

Photos of the damage, a picture of the entire bath and your postcode. Then we will agree a date.

Something went through my bath. Can it be fixed?

Often, if there’s access underneath. The hole is backed, filled and refinished to match.

Can you redo someone else’s repair?

Normally, yes. The old repair comes out first.

Will the price change on the day?

We stop, show you and agree any change before carrying on. You will not be charged for anything you haven’t agreed.

Repair or replace: which is better?

Replacing a fitted bath usually means a plumber, removing the old bath, re-tiling and a new panel and getting rid of the old bath. A repair fixes just the damaged area in a single visit. Repairs from £95, with every job priced individually. Set against the cost of replacement, repairing typically costs far less, because there’s no removal, plumbing or making good. The quote lists exactly what you are paying for.

Why us?

  • Colour-matched on site
  • Free fixed quotes from pictures
  • Rooms protected and left tidy
  • Nothing taken out or refitted

Prices and what affects them

Prices start from £95. There are no hourly rates or hidden extras. The price is based on:

  • How many areas need work
  • Unusual colours or finishes
  • What kind of damage it is
  • How easy the damage is to reach

What it costs depends on the type and amount of damage, the material and how many items we do on one visit. You get a fixed price from your photos, so you know the cost before you book.

Getting a price from pictures

Before you send pictures, these tips help us give you a firm price:

  • Your postcode, so we can check dates
  • What it’s made of, if you know
  • A picture taken from further back
  • Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare

Email us a picture of the damage and a wider shot of the entire item, with your DN9 postcode, and we will reply with a fixed price.

What your bath is made of matters

Acrylic

Acrylic feels warm and is light, but it relies on good support. Repairs to cracks are reinforced from the back.

Pressed steel

Pressed steel is thinner and lighter, with an enamel finish like cast iron. Exposed steel rusts fast, especially around the waste, so early repairs matter.

What happens on the day

When we visit, the technician arrives at the agreed time, protects the room with dust sheets and masking and gets started. The job normally takes a few hours. We tidy up before we leave and tell you when it’s ready to use.

  1. We protect the bath and the floor around it.
  2. The damaged area is cleaned, keyed and degreased, and any rust is treated.
  3. We fill it, let it set, then sand it flush.
  4. We match both the colour and the shine.
  5. We tidy up and tell you when the bath can be used, usually the following day.

Keeping it looking good

Once the work has cured, treat it gently:

  • Avoid scourers, wire wool and gritty cream cleaners
  • Use a soft cloth and washing-up liquid for everyday cleaning
  • Cover the bath during DIY or decorating
  • Rinse it down after each bath

In the first few days, avoid putting weight or bottles on the repair. After that, clean it as you would the rest of the bath.

Small chips are quick to repair. Leave them and they collect dirt, stain and, on metal baths, rust, so it’s worth getting them done early.

Can I fix it myself?

If you do try a kit, read the instructions carefully, make sure the area is clean and completely dry, and give it the full curing time. If it fails, we can still put it right.

We understand the appeal of fixing it yourself. The trouble is that kit repairs often look fine at first and then fail, and then the old filler has to be removed first.
