How the visit works
Nothing needs to be moved out of the room. We bring everything we need with us, lay protective sheets and get going once we have agreed what we’re doing. Most jobs take two to three hours for most chips, and you can get on with other things while we are there.
- First, we check the damage against your photos and agree the plan.
- Loose enamel, rust and dirt are removed so the repair can bond.
- We build up the filler in layers, shaping it to the bath.
- We tint the finish by hand to match the bath.
- The repair is polished to the same gloss as the bath and left to cure.
Getting ready for the visit
- Mention any parking restrictions or tricky access
- Mention if the room is upstairs or in a flat
- Plan for the room to be out of bounds to pets and children

You don’t need a new bath because of a chip. Our repair technicians fill, shape and refinish the damage, mixing the colour on the day so the repair is hard to spot. Whether it’s a cracked acrylic bath and a failed DIY repair that’s discoloured or lifting, we can usually put it right, on acrylic, whirlpool & spa baths and roll-top & freestanding alike.
All of our repairs are guaranteed for twelve months in Y Sgwâr and everywhere else. If something goes wrong with the work, we come back.

Your questions about bath repair in Y Sgwâr
Can landlords book you?
We do, regularly. We can quote for several properties together and work between tenancies.
What happens once I’ve sent pictures?
We review the photos and send a fixed quote and the next dates we have.
Is it OK to have pets in the house?
On the day, the room should be kept clear of pets and children, mainly so nothing gets touched before it has cured.
I tried a repair kit. Can you fix it?
Regularly. We strip it out, deal with any rust and repair it again.
Can you repair a hole in a bath?
In most cases. Send us a photo of the hole and one from under the bath if you can.
Is my repair covered?
Yes: twelve months. If anything goes wrong with the repair within the year, we return to fix it.
How soon can you come?
It depends on the time of year and where you are. We will offer you dates when we send your quote.
Are there extra charges for Y Sgwâr?
We do not add a call-out fee. The fixed quote covers the visit and the work.

What affects the price in Y Sgwâr
Prices start from £95. We don’t charge extra for travel to Y Sgwâr. The price depends on:
- Whether it’s a chip, crack, burn or wear
- Where the damage is and how we get to it
- Any earlier repairs that need removing first
- The material
What it costs depends on how much damage there is and what kind, the material and how many jobs we combine into one visit. We give a fixed price from your pictures, so you know the cost before booking.
Send photos for a quote
Photographing the damage takes a minute, and it saves a visit. Please include:
- Natural light rather than flash
- A wider photo showing the whole bath
- Whether it’s been repaired or coated before
- One sharp close-up of the damage
Getting a quote takes a couple of minutes: take one close-up and one wider shot of the bath, include your postcode and send them over. What comes back is a fixed price, not a guess.

Work for landlords and builders
Letting agents frequently send us pictures straight from the inventory. That means we can quote before you even visit the property, and we can arrange access with the tenant directly if that helps.
Builders use us to fix snagging damage before handover, so there is no need to replace a damaged item at the last minute. Several plots can be done in one visit to keep costs down.
Why repair rather than replace?
Replacing a fitted bath normally involves a plumber, lifting out the old bath, making good the tiles and panel and getting rid of the old bath. Repairing it fixes just the damaged area in a single visit. Repairs from £95, with every job priced individually. Set against the cost of replacement, a repair is generally a fraction of the price, because there is no removal, plumbing or making good. The quote lists exactly what you are paying for.
Why us?
- A year’s guarantee on all work
- Honest advice, even when it means no job
- Rooms protected and left tidy
- Everything repaired in place

Honest limits
Not everything can be repaired, and we would rather say so up front. We can’t fix:
- Rust that has eaten right through a steel bath
- Wear across the whole surface, which needs re-enamelling
- Acrylic cracks with no access behind them
Not sure? Send pictures and we’ll give you a straight answer.
What we work on
- Whirlpool & spa baths
- Cast iron enamel
- Roll-top & freestanding
- Pressed steel enamel
- Acrylic
Should I try a DIY kit first?
You can buy a DIY kit for most repairs, and they can make a small mark look better. Where they fall down is colour and preparation: they come in a handful of shades, and if the surface isn’t prepared the repair won’t last.
We understand the appeal of fixing it yourself. The trouble is that kit repairs often look fine at first and then fail, and then the old filler has to be removed first.
Do you need bath repair in Y Sgwâr?
Damage during fitting is very common. Tradespeople drop tools and tiles into the bath, and the damage isn’t always spotted until later. We repair snagging damage like this regularly.
Get in touch if you’ve noticed any of these:
- Hairline or through cracks in acrylic
- Rust by the waste and overflow
- An old repair that has yellowed or come loose
- Impact holes in acrylic

Materials and what they mean for the repair
Composite and resin
Composite baths are dense and solid, and frequently freestanding. Chips and scratches are filled and matched, in much the same way.
Acrylic
Acrylic baths are moulded sheet reinforced underneath. They do not rust, but they can crack, scratch or be holed, and a crack only stays repaired if it’s supported underneath.
