Bath & shower resealing (mastic) in Argoed, Flintshire
Bath resealing for Argoed, without a refit. Send us pictures for a fixed quote, then book a visit.
- Silicone smeared on tiles
- Unsealed corners
- Leaks at the edges

Why reseal now?
Resealing is routine maintenance. Leaving split or mouldy sealant can let water reach the walls and floor, and that damage costs much more to fix. Our prices are the same across the UK, so there is no premium for Argoed. The job itself decides the price: the material, the amount of damage and how many items.
Why Argoed clients choose us
- No extra charge for your area
- Dust sheets down, tidy finish
- A fixed quote before you book
- One visit for most repairs

Bath resealing in Argoed without replacing anything
Resealing is one of the simplest ways to protect your bathroom. Failed sealant lets water get where it shouldn’t, and a new seal stops it. Whether it’s sealant that’s split or lifting and damp near the bath, we can typically put it right, whatever the material.
Every repair is covered by our one-year guarantee.

Work for landlords and builders
We carry out planned and one-off repairs for housing associations and facilities teams in Flintshire and across the UK. Repairing in place avoids the disruption of a replacement, which matters when someone is living in the home.
Rental properties take more wear, and replacing items every time a tenant leaves is expensive. A repair between tenancies is a cheaper way to keep the property in good order.
When to call us in Argoed
Joints split if the bath or tray moves, frequently because it was sealed with the bath empty.
Send us a photo if you notice any of these:
- Missing sealant behind the taps
- Black spots in the silicone
- Old sealant that looks dirty
- Damp near the bath

There may be a mild smell during the work.

Should I try a DIY kit first?
DIY kits are sold for most surfaces, and they can make a small mark look better. The trouble is colour and preparation: kits come in a few standard shades, and without proper cleaning and keying the filler frequently lifts.
If you’re set on a kit, follow its instructions closely, make sure the area is clean and completely dry, and don’t use it until it has fully cured. If it fails, we can still put it right.
Prices and what affects them
You won’t pay by the hour. The price is based on:
- How much damage there is
- Access to the area
- Any earlier repairs that need removing first
- The material
A repair normally costs much less than people expect, particularly next to the cost of replacement. Send photos and we’ll give you the exact figure.
Send pictures for a quote
Before you send photos, these tips help us give you a firm price:
- The material, if you know it
- Whether it’s been repaired or coated before
- Daylight if possible, and no flash reflection
- Where you are, by postcode
Ring 0345 017 0787, or send us pictures through the quote form. With a clear picture of the damage and one of the entire bath or shower, we can price the job the same day in most cases.
What your bath or shower is made of matters
Shower trays
Trays are sealed with weight on them, so the joint is at its widest.
Baths

The process
A typical visit goes like this: we arrive on time, protect everything around the work area, carry out the work and clear up. Plan for around two hours. Before leaving, we tell you how long to leave it and how to look after it.
- We cut out and remove all of the old sealant.
- The joint is cleaned and any mould treated.
- We make sure the joint is completely dry.
- For a bath, we fill it with water first so the joint is at its widest.
- We run a new bead of mould-resistant silicone and smooth it neatly, including around the taps.
How to prepare
- Move bottles, mats and clutter away from the area
- Make sure the room can be ventilated
- Mention any parking restrictions or tricky access
